Also our older system was about 25+ years old and was highly inefficient. The problem with our older natural gas heating system was the intake line which had holes in the line and it was pulling air from under our house into the system. I would call that not good but the old natural gas heating system was due for an upgrade. We also opted in for their maintenance service so our system is maintained and checked to make sure that it is inspected and cleaned 2 times a year. It's worth it and very affordable. read more

had my AC installed on January 27 of 2026 shortly after I had it installed found out that the downstairs was not heating the installers that installed. It did not replace a filter that was really dirty and did not turn on the valve so I was getting no AC thankfully I had called and they sent me Jose who is absolutely just lovely he found what was the problem replaced all of the filters that were not done previous time explained how to use the air-conditioning unit gave me quotes on things that I may need in near future but also said to just make sure to keep up with the filters. Contacted Air Pro when my ac went out this summer. The unit was over 20 years old so we decided to replace it in full. Ac and furnace. During the process we met with 4 different providers and Air Pro ultimately won our business. It started with a great consultation with Angela where she walked through the installation process and made several different recommendations for a new system. Including ducting. Our home is a split level so there is ducting in the attic as well as under the home. Air pro and one other firm were throughout enough to check both the attic and crawlspace. They also noted that my air returns were too small for the size of our home. Essentially our system was starved of fresh air. During the install process our returns were repaired and enlarged to make sure the system was getting enough air. Even reopening an older return that had for some reason been closed off. (Under the stairs no less) We were shown different combinations of ac and furnace units and went with a slim ac unit and gas burning furnace. The ac unit is rated over 35% more efficient than our old unit and we hope to see energy savings next summer when the heat returns. On instal day the crew showed up promptly at 8am with Romero leading the crew. He has over 25 years of installation experience and it showed with how the crew conducted themselves. When they first rang the doorbell I was introduced to each individual team member and shook all of their hands. Something that honestly stayed with me. There is only one chance to make a first impression and Romero and his team made a lasting one with me. Angela our consultant came by in the morning to do a walk through with the crew to make sure they understood the ins and outs of our home. Another small touch that was appreciated. They completed the entire install in one day ducts and all. We have our new ac up and running by 2pm! They walked us through how to use the new ecobee thermostat and were very friendly. Pricing wise air pro was very competitive. What I learned in my short time shopping a new system is that price alone should not be the final determining factor. We had a problem with our seldom-used Lennox HVAC system, it was dead in the water. The system would not start up. I called Air Pro for help, they sent out Jose who is one of their technicians. Jose diagnosed the problem in a very clear headed and logical manner. It turned out that despite the very infrequent usage this Lennox system has logged, this piece of junks' blower motor had failed. Jose changed out the motor, thus restoring the unit's ability to run. Very unhappy with Lennox, will never buy one of their very service-restricted units from them again, but very happy with Air Pro. I moved back into my apartment in San Diego and it had the original Trane air conditioning unit from when the place was built in 2005. It worked great but was a little noisy and 12 SEER. I wanted to upgrade as I knew the original system would only last so much longer and decided to try and get something more efficient. I got 3 quotes and the Air Pro wasn't the lowest and it wasn't the highest, but was sold on the company offering a 10 year labor warranty. I picked the 18 SEER AC Pro 4 ton system. I was offered another discount to go with them over the other company I've used in the past that only offered a 2 year labor warranty. The day of install went smoothly and the new system was installed within the first half of the day. Everything went smoothly and the system worked great and was quiet compared to the older 20 year unit it replaced. After the install I requested the AHRI certificate to verify that the correct SEER rated system was installed. It took numerous follow up and phones calls to get the number. 3 weeks later I received the AHRI certificate and noticed it was a 16 SEER2 system and also it was 24,000 btu. I knew they had to downsize the unit to 3 ton unit due to limitations of the ductwork in my apartment. I am not sure how to resolve the issue of having paid for an 18 SEER2 system and having a 16 SEER2 rated system in my apartment. I have already verified with the financing company that the installation was completed so will follow up with the company to figure out where the miscommunication occurred. read more

I own two Condos right next to each othe. I called to have both units tuned up for hot weather ahead. The unit where I live was blowing cool but not cold air. My nest thermostat would say that it would reach the set temperature in ten minutes, but after running a few minutes it would change, saying two hours, and the unit would just keep running with the air not as cool as when it first started. The technician, William, tuned both units, performed extra tests on my unit and determined that it was low on refrigerant. He added the necessary amount of refrigerant that solved the problem. The estimate was realy close to the provider we ultimatedly decided with but it was only because we decided based on brand. I really would have gone with Air Pro just because of Mayra. She was thorough inspecting and assessing our old HVAC system and generating three different options of systems we could go with. She did not give me the pushy car salesman feel. I really did not enjoy the overall hunting for estimates but Mayra was seriously amazing. The decision was ultimately my mom's to go another route and the quote was really close to the one we ended up with just difference of brand offered. Dishonest and unethical company. They initially sold me a 20 SEER HVAC system. After my unit was installed the company owner Nate submitted a certificate of completion to my financing company Goodleap stating that he had installed an 18 SEER. When I spoke with Nate about the discrepancy he was surprised that Goodleap had shared this information with me and said it was a "typo" error and re assured me that what I had in my home was a 20 SEER. I contacted the HVAC manufacturer directly and learned that the HVAC system Air Pro sold me was not AHRI certified. Based on the model and serial numbers of the heat pump, furnace and coil installed they estimated the unit was likely a 17 SEER. The salesperson Paloma also tried to persuade me not to get a permit because "air pro follows codes." I ended up adding a city permit, thankfully which led to more discoveries of how unethical Air Pro operates their business. After reviewing the CHEERS report I found Nate had falsified information he submitted to the duct testing company Air Tite and my city permit application. The model and serial numbers he provided did not match what he actually installed in my home. A Manual J,S, D is required by California law (Section 150) to obtain proper heating/cooling load calculations and duct system design on all new HVAC systems, which Nate neglected to do because he deliberately falsified information and stated in my city permit application that the HVAC system was a replacement "equipment change out like for like" when there's never been an AC unit in my home. He blamed the duct testing company for submitting false information, even though the report had his signature and license number on it, in addition, he knew that this was a new system. I had also found numerous errors on my initial contract prior to moving forward with hiring him for the job, BIG RED FLAG that I regretfully overlooked. With help from Good leap, he has been pressured to address these issues and has yet failed to provide evidence that the unit he installed is actually a 20 SEER. He has not taken responsibility for falsifying information and neglecting to follow codes, and treated me as if he is doing me a favor to make things right which is actually in his best interest to save his own contractor license. Meanwhile, addressing the issues has been a waste of time and resources (including missing time from work). My hope is that this review will save you from going through the same. After paying $30,000 I think it's reasonable for a home owner to expect that the work paid for is completed correctly. If after reading this you decide to hire Air Pro, I suggest you thoroughly read every fine print, including your contract before moving forward. And if you have done business with Air Pro in the past, I suggest you go back to review your documents and ensure that you actually got what you paid for. If I could turn back time, I would have paid closer attention to all the RED FLAGS and never hired them. read more
