Okay, so I didn't even call Proper HVAC... I met them by accident! My neighbor's A/C completely gave up on life on a hot day--like full-on "I quit" mode. It was blazing outside, and these guys show up and get straight to work like pros. No chaos, no complaining, just calm, confident, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. So... I'm outside being a little nosy (as one does), watching the whole thing go down. I poke my head over my fence and I realized I literally interrupted their lunch... sorry... They talked me through the issue my unit had and how much they can do it for and after my wife approved the expenses (cuz she handles all my money, as she's allowed to do because she makes more than I do..., snd because she knows more because she reminds me how she has a few damn degrees). I'm kidding, but she does have a lot of degrees and makes more money than I do. So they fixed my neighbors A/C and mine in no time. Mine was literally in 20-30 minutes! Our air conditioner decided to crash out on us on Thursday afternoon, so I called BRS because they had great reviews. I had someone at my house the following morning checking out the system. I was shocked because it's such a busy area, and the beginning of the heat wave. They were both super friendly, and professional. Bruner and his team at BRS Mechanical is amazing. I recently had landscaping down on my house and the landscape company insist it was okay to leave my ac on the same level as my new hardscape. They may have forgotten that i'm a real estate agent that have attended over 100 inspections in my line of work and wasnt going to be okay with that. Not a problem, a quick call to BRS and they were out here the next morning removing my AC Condenser and AC Pad and setting it off the side carefully so the landscape company can finish their work. Once my landscape project was completed, Bruner was able to get his team out here the next morning right on time to get my ac running again before it got too hot. We reinstalled the AC condener and pad above grade to allow for proper drainage should we ever get rain. They did an amazing job custom routing and soldering copper lines to have our ac running again and the staff was extremely courteous and friendly! If I could give zero stars I would. They came out and topped off our a/c with freon(?) and at the time let us know that we actually needed a new system more sooner than later. They were right and the entire process seemed like a smooth transaction with a knowledgeable and friendly company. We were charged $289 which was reasonable and we paid. I recently noticed that they actually charged our card $3000+. That was back in August. That is ample time for them to notice their mistake if it was a mistake and not fraud. I will admit that I should have noticed before then, so stupid on my part. But we had recently gone on a trip not long before I received our statement and figured we spent a lot more than Id thought. We paid our cc bill. But now we have to go through an investigation with Citibank that will take up to 90 days. I guess I was assuming that companies keep way better track of their bookkeeping than I do. Apparently I was wrong. Good thing I keep receipts! Update, the owner definitely responded and refunded the money, even before I posted this review. they refunded the money as soon as they were contacted by our CC company. So either they had not noticed the mistake and as soon as it was pointed out they rectified it or they knew they were busted and refunded the money. I'm going to assume the best and say it was the former. Thanks for correcting your mistake guys. That's good customer service! read more

I had this Company come to replace my coil in 2020 and replace my thermostat controller. They came and installed it, very responsibly priced. I had been shopping around and they beat out the other Companies. Recently the thermostat controller went out they came replaced under warranty just had to pay for labor since it was about 4 years old. I also had them tune up AC unit. They are my go to Company. I was told that the condensate and water leakage on my AC as due to low Freon and a possible leak by Castillo Plumbing and HVAC and quoted an exorbitant amount for a leak detection test (LDT). I wanted a second opinion and posted my requirements on Yelp. Bruner called me back within 20 minutes and had me describe our symptoms over the phone. He was able to assure us that it was probably pointless to do an LDT, because if we had a leak it would cost us half the price of getting the unit replaced, to fix it. He walked us through a couple of troubleshooting steps over the phone at no cost and mentioned that it may be as simple as a dirty air-filter. Once I've run the troubleshooting and replaced the air-filter, I will absolutely be calling BRS Mechanical for any further troubleshooting, to top up our low Freon, as well as for all our future maintenance needs on the A/C as well as our heater. Bruner, you've made a customer for life with your absolute professionalism and depth of knowledge and your willingness to help us over the phone instead of quoting us another maintenance call to help diagnose our issue. Highly recommend this company!! Don't call anyone else!! Bruner installed an air conditioning unit in my home 5 years ago. However, yesterday, it stopped blowing cool air into the house. Ugh! I remembered really appreciating their service when they installed the unit so I called them right away. I was nervous they were going to tell me that they were super busy and wouldn't be able to come over for another week or so. (Afterall, it's July and hot outside). Not so, he made an appointment for the following day. Today he showed up promptly at the scheduled time and went right to work on solving the problem. As it turns out, Tesla had recently installed solar panels and a powerwall on my home and also installed a device on the outdoor air conditioning unit to link the 2 together. However, the connections were loose and resulted in my air conditioner failing. Bruner fixed the problem right away and refused to charge me for the quick fix. Brunner from BRS Mechanical heard the desperation in my voice and was able to fit me in on short notice. Upon inspection, he said the issue was with the thermostat and since my thermostat was still under warranty, he recommended I get a replacement and swap it out with the old.
