Shannon communicated well to set up the appointment, the technician arrived on time and was friendly and explained what he was doing - a very methodical approach to diagnosis and repair. He had the part in his van to repair my a/c and after checking a few other areas and tightening some loose connections, he was done! I'm now sitting in a cool house ready for the over 100 degree weather!! Also, this company was selected by AHS, my home warranty company, and I was hesitant about using them because they are based an hour away from me, but I was assured that wouldn't be a problem and it wasn't. We filed a claim with American Home Shield for our air conditioning unit. We had few hot days and when I turned it on, the fan blew but it wasn't cooling. AHS notified me that Air One was AHS's contracted service provider and I should be receiving a call from them soon. Within a few hours, I received a text from Shannon in the office, she scheduled my appointment for Monday afternoon ( It was Friday) The technician was scheduled to arrive between 12 noon and 2 PM. He arrived shortly after 12 noon, was very nice and respectful, climbed onto the roof and diagnosed the problem. Our air conditioner was leaking. As promised, Tyler was back the next day, fixed the unit and it is working great. We are now ready for the super hot Summers that we get here. Thank you so much Travis and Shannon with Air One. This company was contacted through my home warranty. The tech came out said there was no Freon. The tech said there was a leak and he was there a few hours fixing it. The air worked for three days then quit. I called my home warranty back told them the air stopped working. On 7/30/2019 American Home Shield sent Air-1-Mechanical out to fix my Central AC. The tech was awesome. He told me it was the control board that was burnt out for the AC. He saw that I had another burnt out board sitting there which had the heater circuit burnt out so he used that board to temporarily make AC work and will come replace board after the new board, which Air-1-Mechanical will order, comes in. However take note that come winter, the heater won't work and always on my mind is whether there will be a risk of fire. I was assure not. Update: 8/30/2019 One month since initial temporary fix almost. I have called A1M at least 5 times and no answer from them and so I am calling AHS to contact A1M. AHS calls me back and advised that A1M advised that board is on back order, no time estimate. Update: 9/12/2019 Called AHS for update. AHS called A1M who advised part is arriving to day and that A1M will call me today to make appointment to install. No call from A1M......... Update: 9/18/2019 @ 11:40am No call received from A1M nor AHS for since 9/12/2019. I called them at this time and AHS called A1M who advised AHS that they just picked up the part from (who knows where) courier I guess and that they will call me in 15 minutes to make an appointment. AHS advised if A1M doesn't call in an hour, to call AHS back. Update: 9/18/2019 @ 1:27p No call from A1M so I called AHS back who called A1M who advised them that the reason they did not call me yet is because they have an appointment for me for 9/19/2019 but is waiting for time slot to update so they can call me. Now how do A1M even figure that I would be available tomorrow? I am willing to wait as I have waited almost 2 months for the part to arrive from the moon. But at what point will I have to stop waiting? I am now waiting................. Update: 9/18/2019 @ 2:07p Got a text from A1M, stating that they advised AHS that they are picking up control board today and would like to schedule for tomorrow to install. However that they are waiting for technician on what time frame to give you for tomorrow. A1M assure through text that my central AC and Heater will be fixed by tomorrow. As I have waited so long, I agreed to wait for A1M (Shannon) to contact me today to schedule for tomorrow. Will call in sick at work for tomorrow so I can be home to have Central AC/heater fixed. Our AC went out right in the middle of summer with a newborn baby, filed a claim with our home warranty. The next day a technician from Air One came out and was really friendly. Our home warranty ordered the parts and took a while (home warranty company fault) but Air One kept in touch with me whenever I requested updates and as soon as parts arrived Air One came out right away to replace and fix our AC. We thought it would take a few days to repair but the gentleman got it replaced and ready to go within just a few hours! read more

Supposed to install a compressor since September 17th of last year. Part was was available the day they said compressor needed to be replaced. I have 13 children wife is pregnant. Had an air conditioning service through AHS warranty come out three times last year and couldn't figure out my a/c. I just let it go in the fall because I didn't want to deal with them anymore and the fact I have a daughter who has no immunities. This year AHS sent out Air One Mechanical. Was a little leery of ac companies but I have to tell you, I am completely happy with them. Tyler is the best. I told him what was going on, he checked everything and new exactly what it was. I told him about my daughter and how worried I was with people coming in and out of the house due to covid, never had to ask him twice to put his mask on. Came back after a week and replaced the part. Shannon fit us in perfectly on my time schedule. Tyler came back with his mask, I am sure remembering our situation. Very professional company. Absolutely impossible to get a hold of. No one ever answers the phone. If you leave a message, the lady might respond with a text 1 or 2 weeks later and then disappear again or just never respond at all. The tech we had a chance to work with when we could get a hold of their office is great but the administration is horrible. They're going after commercial business. Christmas Eve our heater went out. Called Air-One. Rod came out. He said we needed a complete new unit. We waited a month during the coldest part of the year for the install only to be told, the heat is in, but we will do the AC a different day. We waited until August after the hottest part of the year after many calls and begging to finally get the AC unit installed. Two years later the AC unit failed do to improper instillation and it was too small for the house. The heater failed after only 2 and one half years because of improper installation. I am giving Air-One a 1 star because there is no option for a zero or negative stars. read more

Both AHS and myself have tried to contact Air One multiple times, but no response! It has been one week since this AC went down. I was referred to air one mechanical by my home warranty company, old republic. I called their emergency line last Friday night when my air conditioning unit stopped working. I was told that their was only one technical in the area and they would let me know if he could make it. About 30 minutes later he showed up and fixed the problem. I was cut off in traffic by one of their vans. 6/22/15 appox. 7:45am on mountain house road. Their van turned left in front of me as I approached. I had to slam on the brakes to avoid a head on. My daughter was following in a separate vehicle. How horrific would that have been. I called the company right away and left a message. This was just before 8am. I liked how Rod Called to confirm & Remined me to let me know his tech was comming. Another thing was his tech was on time. That was a plus. I Didn't have to wait around. As soon as he showed up he got staight to business. Found the problem I was having was due to low freon. Another thing that suprized me was there price. After he was done. I made two appointments with them. First time a tech came and was not able to fix the problem (fair enough,since it was a difficult problem that requires torch brazing). I made a second appointment and he came 3 hours late and unprepared; he still did not fix the problem. That's two days I had to take off work that were wasted. That was many months ago; they never followed up to finish the work they started. I am still without heat. Also, both times the tech came and fiddled with my air handler, he took out bolts and nuts and I found them scattered on the floor after he left. Very negative experience. Made an appointment and someone came out quickly to look at heater/AC issue. Went well at first -- said he needed to order a part then would return to complete the job. Estimated a couple weeks. A month went by, so I called the office - no answer. Left a message, no returned phone call. I kept calling multiple times over the next week and finally got someone on the phone, who said I'd get a call back shortly to schedule the job completion. 2 more months went by with me calling a few times a week, left multiple messages, never got a return phone call. Ended up giving up and hiring another company to complete the job - they did so in about 1 week after ordering the part. read more

I agree with Teresa G. I am her Mother and the one she is referring to in her review dated 5/31/12. Air One Mechanical cannot be trusted and I would not recommend their service to anyone. Everything Teresa G. said in her review is TRUE!!! The owner was very unprofessional and did treat me disrespectfully to the point that I had to ask my Son-In-Law to talk to him. As far as the small claims goes, I just have to say that Judges are human and they make mistakes too. If I could have filed an appeal I would have. I think the Judge was buffaloed by Air One's owner as he was smart enough not to come across to the judge like he did to me and my family!!! read more

Very negative experience with these guys as well! I was referred by a friend whose kid plays in the same baseball club as Rod's kid plays. He came out and anticipated that the issue with my AC is that it lacked freon which he did add. Paid him $200 for it. My AC worked for about a day until air coming out of it is hot again. Told him about it and at first I did not think I'd hear from him since he did not respond to my text pleading for him to come back to check the unit. He finally responded the day after making an appointment. The thing is he did not show up! My daughter even missed a volleyball practice just waiting for him. He did not even bother communicating with us letting us know what's up. I've never experienced such horrible service in my life. I was going to refer them to a lot of our other friends that has AC issues but that's not happening anymore! STAY AWAY FROM AIR-ONE!!! read more

After reading some other bad reviews I can only come to the conclusion that people are mixing up this Air-One with others, such as the one in Modesto. I was referred to them from my home warranty company. They got us our first appointment the next day. Then once the part was in Rod was back just like he said in a timely manner. Great customer service. On top of getting our heat up and running in no time he hooked us up with the name of the tire place he goes to in Stockton. We were just making small talk and I happen to tell him I was getting new tires on my truck the next day. He said to try his place, just call and get a quote. So I did right then and there and sure shit I saved $500. I even went the next morning and was very satisfied with my tires. So more than ever I trust Rods word. Believe me, the tires were just the bonus on top of the great experience we had with Air-One. They are definitely our heating/air place for life! Warranty or not this is our go to place!!! I am an architect who works with hospitals throughout the state on many types of projects. In the nearly 10 years I have been working with Air One professionally I have been amazed at the responsiveness, quality of work, experience, and creative solutions they bring to the table. On one project a large gas-fired boiler was completely rebuilt, avoiding the larger expense of replacement as well as avoiding engineering and permit fees. This saved the owner thousands of dollars and the project was complete in a much shorter timeline than replacement. With other contractors the Owner may never have worked in the field, or I'll talk with a sales guy or estimator who only give prices for what is asked for even if the solution is not clearly defined. Rod the Owner started out in the field and still works in the field, overseeing the work to make sure it meets his high standards. He works well with other subs, engineers, and professionals, is a team player, and has always made sure the customer was happy with the final product. We had a well known A/C company come out to service our unit and they charged us double, left us with a broken unit and told us our A/C needed replaced. Air-one came out and isolated the problem, explained exactly what was wrong and fixed our unit (which didn't need replacing) in two hours. I highly recommend them! read more

This company took our deposit then NEVER came out to do the work. We were told through our Insurance company to call them. Air-One insisted we pay them upfront. Unethical to me, but they were tied to our Insurance Company so reluctantly we agreed. They insist we did not pay them, YET we have our credit card records to prove it. They refuse to talk with us, (will not return our many phone calls) and our money ! Initially, I thought a shady act took place from individual who took our information when Air-One insisted to our Insurance Company that we did not pay them. After the actual charge went through to our Credit Card records we found that Air-One in fact did charge our Credit Card. That's when Air-One started refusing each of our phone calls (Insurance Co. and Us). The small amount we paid them leaves us with little recourse due to the cost of an attorney which would be much more than what we paid them. Thievery ! Every small amount of money they collect adds up. I do not like writing negative reviews, and would not for something minor, but after reading their BBB of how they were given an A for working out customer issues I had to. I will now be making a complaint to BBB on behalf of the others and myself they took advantage of. I learned BBB is NOT always right. People need to complain more the them (BBB) than YELP or nothing will get done. They shouldn't take on residential jobs if they only want to do commercial jobs and let people know this before taking their money, (deposit) then not showing up. ZERO STARS !!!!!!!!! read more
