I purchased a new wall heater for my tenant about a year ago. There have been ongoing issues. My tenant works. They refuse to set up appointment w her. But want to charge me every time they go out & simply knock on the door. Rude. Customer service is terrible. Furnace is not good. Don't use them. This was from 2014 and I noticed I never completed this review. Caused damage to my drywall and while repairing a home warranty issue. Ended up costing me $1000 for my homeowner's insurance deductible to get my ceiling repaired. Air Kustoms came out to my home as a contractor dispatched by Home Owners Warranty. They did work on a control module and added freon to my AC unit in my attic. The Worker showed up to my home with his teenage child for some unknown reason. Everything seemed fine until today when my Wife noticed a large brown stain on our ceiling. I went up into the attic and the drip pan under my AC unit was overflowing the wrong direction. I noticed that the edge of the drip pan had been stepped on an knocked off its mount, causing water to flow directly onto my ceilings below. Now, up until this point only Air Kustoms had been the only person(s) to be in the attic since I made the service call. Common sense would tell you that they were logically the one's responsible for the damage to the drain. I did not step on my own AC drip pan. I called the owner and he denied any wrong doing. I asked if the teenager that was brought to my home by Air Kustoms may have caused the damage and he also denied that. He was verbally abusive on the phone. I told him I would see him in court. I filed complaints with the BBB and the State Contractor's License Board. All parties stated that this was a "He said, She Said" situation and since no one actually saw them do the damage they could not proceed further. The State Board did advise me that he was in violation for not having his contractor's license number on his business cards, and they would make him fix it. I left it at that. I had to pay $1000 to my home owner's insurance to have a drywall company come out and fix the damage. I would say that Air Kustoms has a serious lack of integrity and honesty. Mistakes do happen, but you need to own up to them. They did not. I would not trust them to ever work in my home again, nor would I refer them to anyone. read more

Very pleased with their service! They were able to schedule me in on a days notice. From the young lady that called to verify appointment to technician they were extremely polite. I have had another company come out before and they were not as detailed on troubleshooting. The technician Joey went over tests and results with me. He also recommended some preventative maintenances with that being said I did not feel like he was just trying to con me into buying their services like with some other companies. This company's sense of customer service is non existent. The furnace they installed has constantly caused problems and they sent a technician out who was unprofessional and had no knowledge of what the issue could be. Fast forward to now, they come out to inspect the machine once more. They set up an appointment with my landlord without telling me a date and time and call me upon arrival apologizing they didn't call me 20 minutes before like they should so I missed the appointment because THEY failed to tell me the appointment date and time and to call me. They have no sense of communication either. I constantly had to call and bug them for updates. I scheduled a new appointment on 12/23 which they did a now show. Not even a phone call to say sorry or to reschedule. Moving forward we schedule yet again and they do yet another no show with no communication as to why. This company has been nothing but a nightmare to deal with due to their lack of communication, customer service, and untrustworthy furnaces. I would never recommend this company if you have a serious issue. Take your time somewhere else. Had another company come out ASAP and they at least tried to troubleshoot the machine, something air Kustoms didn't have the time for. Not only did they tell me oh well call us when the problem arises again so we can come out and charge you again, they told my landlord I did all the no shows. read more

We live in Diablo Grande and our home is 10 years old. Unfortunately the original developer used the lowest cost heating and air conditioning system. With the extremes we experience in cold as low as 21 degrees in winter and the heat in summer 100+ our original system would draw 22 amps trying to keep this home comfortable which it never really accomplished. We called Air Kustoms to evaluate our system, they found all the plumbing (air ducting) was undersized, not properly connected and a very undersized compressor for the size of the home. We were also helping to keep TID our electric company become very wealthy. We decided to make the wise investment in our home with a complete HVAC remodel with the latest technology enabled to the World Wide Web so our iPhone, iPad and any web connected device can control our home from anywhere. The new system draws 9 amps instead of the old 22 amps, sorry TID, both floors are always comfortable and the only way we know it's running is to stand by the vents, totally silent operation. Great product, Great Company & very happy customers. Air Kustoms calls every now and then to check on us to see how we're doing. We couldn't ask for better customer service, thanks Air Kustoms. My A/C stopped blowing cold air on Thursday 8/18/16 called Air customs. Technician arrived Saturday it was the weekend and the $105 overtime fee was acceptable I was told that it was the capacitor for the compressor and it would be $300 plus the $105 so I told them to fix it an hour later he told me that it was now the compressor that was bad and the compressor would be $1000 but he would not recommend that because I have an older system. he said his boss would call me later in the week to give me a quote on replacing my entire system. I said could you pleas get me a quote on just replacing the compressor he said he would call his boss to get the price of the compressor 10 min later he told me they would replace the compressor for $3000. I checked online I can buy an entire condenser unit twice the size of the on I have now for around $1200. I would not recommend tis company. It seems like they are more interested in whole systems rather than repair existing units. read more

My AC unit was not putting out cold air so I thought the unit needed some maintenance so I called Air Kustoms. This was my first time using this company and I was scared that it would cost an arm and a leg. That was the furthest from the truth the customer service person was super friendly and gave me an instant quote over the phone. The cost for the year maintenance contract was totally affordable and she even scheduled me an appointment for the same day!!! When the technician came to my home he was quite professional and knowledgeable. Not only did he quickly discovered the problem but also had the part that needed to be replaced with him. He then did all the maintenance and stayed around and made sure the problem was fixed before leaving.
