SAD! Regulations don't benefit the patient... May have to consider looking for another provide.

I left shamed and suicidal. Actually thoughts of driving my car T-bone style into a line of traffic at a busy stop light T intersection. "Pause when Agitated" came to mind from my 12-Step program training of 46+ years. They had not encouraged me over the years to get a 3rd colonoscopy after I had postponed it to help a friend with his recovery from addiction. Of course it's my responsibility ... But please ... Just the thing a staff nurse and doctor should note and comment about, with some enthusiasm. I'm now being treated for early stage Colorectal Cancer. I'm also looking for a new doctor's office ... Especially since they did not call me back to discuss my issues after deciding I needed to go elsewhere. I called to see if I could resume my treatments there, and they responded with "just tell your new provider to contact us for your records". Christian Bigotry at its Finest ... A Crucifix in every exam room ... Beware the Fundamentalists Christian Shaming and Negligence in level of support in your healthcare. Especially if you're 73 & Gay like me. Could be deadly. So now they are saying the next available appointment is June 18th and not even a letter from my psychiatrist would help me get in sooner. When i asked to speak with a supervisor to rectify the situation, all she said was her hands were tied and she can put me down for the next available appointment, June 18th. I declined the offer because i already don't feel like they care about me (as i explained my situation and how it wasn't my fault and that it's been requested by my mental health provider) and it's just a business trying to fill their calendar to make money.

The two ladies at the dental check-in desk were amazing -- warm, professional, and very knowledgeable. One may have been in training, but you couldn't even tell. They both made a great first impression. Seth, the dental hygienist, was phenomenal with my 16-year-old daughter. He made her feel so comfortable and relaxed, and without even knowing it, he inspired her even more to pursue her dream of becoming a dental hygienist. She was so tuned in to the positive atmosphere and said she absolutely loved the entire experience, from check-in to care to check-out. I've been a patient of Johnson Health Center since I was a kid. While there have been ups and downs over the years, the Dental Team and the GYN/OB office continue to be exceptional, friendly, welcoming, and truly patient-centered. We felt more like family than patients. We felt heard, respected, and valued! Thank you all for what you do. Your work makes a difference, and it does not go unnoticed.

I switched doctors from Bedford Medical (which I previously reviewed) and I had a great first…read moreexperience with Dr. Dobyns. I'm not used to making appointments, as BMC was mostly walk-ins. I made a 3:15 appointment. I was taken back very shortly after I arrived. The nurse who took my temperature, weight, height, blood pressure, and oxygen levels was really nice. Once I got taken back to a room, I barely had to wait 10 minutes, and Dr. Dobyns came in. Unlike Bedford Medical, he took his time, considered all possibilities, gave me options, and accepted my assessment of what has and has not worked in the past. He is very nice, funny, and helpful. You can tell that he really enjoys his job. That's rare nowadays. My only complaint is that the times I've went, since the above review, is that if I've had multiple problems going on, he has only addressed one (or two) during a visit, making me wonder, "What am I supposed to do about the other stuff?" I guess I'll have to speak up more, if I go back. It's great that he converses with his patients about things, but he needs to listen to their medical problems first.

The nurse was friendly and efficient. I was led to a room where I only waited about 5 minutes for Dr. DOBYNS, who arrived with a nurse who never introduced herself..just sat in a corner. The doctor was very talkative. I only got a few words in the entire time. My issue was barely addressed but I could tell you all about his brother in Florida. .
