Upon presenting my boarding pass, the woman at the entrance said something about my airline status qualifying me for Clubrooms (adjacent to the No1 lounge and owned by them) instead. As I understand it, it's supposed to be a little more upscale and is adult-only with à la carte food ordered from a server in lieu of buffet fare. It was a totally adequate lounge experience; comfortably roomy and nicely decorated. I was there during breakfast and wasn't super excited by the menu but ordered a bagel with pastrami for some sustenance during my flight. It was horrible tbh, but as a NY Jew I admit my standards are a little high. I had a glass of vinho verde as well which was lovely. They did have some self-serve pastries; I had a pain au chocolat that was actually pretty excellent. Would I personally visit again? Absolutely with PP - who can possibly complain about free food/bev and a nice place to relax before a flight. Do I think it's worth paying the staggering £48 for? Certainly not. Food-wise, I think I would have preferred the buffet in the standard lounge (which also happens to be about 10 quid cheaper). TL;DR - nice lounge, on the nicer end for Europe, excellent compared to the US, meh compared to Asia

The wait was about 15-20 minutes, so we checked in, walked around outside for a bit, then came back and were finally able to get in. Once inside, there was barely any seating available. We eventually found a spot, but the overall experience didn't really improve from there. The food was not good at all, and the selection was extremely limited. They were out of plates, out of utensils, and even the beverages coming out of the refrigerator weren't cold. Overall, it just didn't feel worth the wait to get into the lounge. We basically used it to kill some time and grab some below-average food before the flight. Definitely expected a much better experience.

5 Stars for the best airport lounge I've ever been to…read more To put this in the same category as most airport lounges is to do it a disservice. It feels part upscale restaurant, part members club, part bar, part swanky lounge. My favorite part is the fact that there are different areas with distinctly different seating and atmosphere. When you're stuck waiting for a delayed flight (or just arrived absurdly early in case of traffic), the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse will keep things from feeling stale. And the separate entrance/security lines? -Chef's kiss- I didn't make use of the spa treatments or Dom, but had a fabulous breakfast and strolled up to the rooftop garden for some sunshine before my transatlantic flight. Now that most airport lounges are filled to the gills and feature the saddest cafeteria-style food, this clubhouse is an oasis and could be a great model for future lounge differentiation. Though this ticket class is a once-in-a-long-while splurge, it made the price feel a little less insane.

Over two transits through the Queens Terminal 2, we visited all of the Star Alliance Lounges…read more(United, Air Canada and Singapore Airlines) and the SilverKris Lounge won with its service, food choices and tastes. Here we found laksa, congee, fresh fruits, a large variety of individual boxes of cereals, sodas and beers and a mix of Asian and western hot food items. Congee was quite good but the laksa flavors were not as strong as I would've preferred. A full bar was around the corner from the food area. Decor here was a not as modern as the United Club but it was comfortable for our couple hour layover. All side tables in the seating area had USB and electrical outlets but not all were functional. Seating by the windows (with views of the planes and gates) were the most popular. Bathrooms and showers were available. Overall good service from the greetings and thank you by front staff and cleaning by the team on the floor.

After our negative experience with British Airways customer service, my friend and I spent a couple…read morehours shopping in the terminal then headed to No. 1 Lounge since it was the one closest to where we happened to be in the terminal. The line was out the door with a 30 minute wait (and frankly not my favorite lounge, see my separate review of that one), and thankfully they told us to head to My Lounge which had more availability. They are both run by the same company, with My Lounge being recently remodeled and reopened (previously Club Aspire) in the past few months. Walking into the lounge it's decorated with a cozy vibe, think textured brick walls, warm jewel tone tweed textures on the furniture with medium wood accents in the floor and bookshelves, reminiscent of a modern family room. Seating inside looks roughly enough for about 100 people, at mostly lounge chairs and couches. There's decent spacing so that it doesn't feel too crowded. Check-in counter is immediately inside the entrance, at around 10:30am it wasn't too crowded, we were able to enter right away. Later on when we left around 1pm there was a short wait of about 10-15 minutes. Directly to the right of the check-in, there's a small, more private lounge room with seating for about 8-10 which is where we parked ourselves. Walking left past the check-in counter the space opens up to a bar serving liquor and cocktails, and a food bar along the wall. They had breakfast food set out, including yogurt, smoothies, granola and cereal, cut fruit, bread and mini pastries, and warm food including all the elements of a traditional English breakfast including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, toast, roasted tomatoes, roasted potatoes. There was also a pancake station which I've seen at a couple other Europe lounges, and you can basically pour your own batter and it goes through a mini oven and pops out cooked on the other side. Around noon they also set out lunch food though we didn't end up eating much of that. Free WiFi is available and strong. There are screens scattered around the lounge with airline info though similar to other lounges no announcements are made, so you have to keep track of your own boarding time. Bathrooms are in decent shape. Normal hours are 5:00am to 10:00pm. Not a bad place to spend a few hours, would def stop by again if I lay over at Heathrow Terminal 3! We were told it was full when we rolled up and decided to wait in the seats just outside, which were perfectly comfortable, with plenty of room for our kids and our stuff. We went in when we could, though, using the same Priority Pass as everyone else, a free benefit of our very popular credit card. The lounge was generic, which was fine, and exceedingly hot and crowded, which was not. We stuck around just long enough for my husband and sons to grab some sad-looking pastries, then got the hell out. I would've been okay going back to those seats outside, but they were, predictably, taken. We ended up at an airport restaurant paying for food and drink just so we could sit somewhere a little bit more relaxing and civilized. In theory, a lounge should serve that exact purpose, but I wouldn't count on it from the Plaza Premium Lounge.

First off, it's very clean and spacious. You feel the difference the moment you walk in. They've got water stations, soft drinks, a wine selection, and even beer on tap if that's your thing. It's a place where you can actually relax before a flight. The breakfast spread? Well-styled and delicious. Everything from pastries to hot food was presented nicely, and it wasn't just for show--it tasted great too. I also don't eat pork they brought me some vegan options a nice touch. One of my favorite parts? You can sit back, enjoy your food or a drink, and watch the planes come and go. The whole setup is elegant and efficient just what you want from a business lounge. British Airways knows how to treat their travelers right. This lounge is a great way to start or be a connection on your journey.

You can tell it is a United Club just on the style and counter worktops. It is one of the best looking United Clubs, and certainly better than most in the US. The variety of places to sit was nice. It wasn't too crowded at 6 AM. There are electrical outlets at almost every counter seat or worktable. One plus: Individual toilets. They are kept clean by staff, and have an ottoman to sit! Another plus: The club is very close to the United gates in Terminal 2B. As usual, the food assortment was disappointing for a United Club. It was basically English Breakfast, toast and cereal. That's better than a lot of domestic UC, but pales in comparison the international United Club in Hong Kong. And only two coffee machines for a huge club? I didn't really eat much anyway, as I first went to Singapore Air SilverKris Lounge for a better breakfast. Congee, Laksa, fruity energy drinks, and full Western breakfast. What a different lounge world (See my review of that one).

Luxury, sustenance, and relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle of the London Heathrow Airport…read more This British Airways lounge is a treat to every traveler privileged to enter. My husband and I stopped in on our way from Phoenix to Italy and it was such a wonderful experience. Upon entering we were warmly greeted (which sometimes in Europe is not the case), and our eyes fixed upon a glorious display of foods and snacks from all over the world. They offered British delicacies (don't miss out on the shortbread cookies) as well as other quality dishes that you are welcome to take as much as you like. This lounge also has multiple open bars where you serve yourself, juice and snack stations throughout, a kids playplace, and beautifully kept up tables and chairs to accommodate lots of travelers with space in between. They have washrooms as well which is so nice for those long travel days. We stayed just over an hour, but I could have stayed all day. The views are lovely and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. We look forward to spending time here on all our flights through London.
