It was a pleasure dealing with Chris in every way possible. We have been using Cape Fear Air, Electrical and Plumbing for our HVAC system, since May 2020. In…read morethis time we have had no complaints in the services we have received. Each person that has come to our home has been pleasant and appears technically sound. In January of this year one of our units, of almost 20years, went toes up and needed replacing. The install went well and we had heat upstairs again. They even cleaned up the debris and attic floor. Fast forward to this week. My 10 mo old grandson and daughter were visiting and the upstairs thermostat where they stay went dead as a doornail as they were heading up for the night (8 pm-ish). After calling the thermostat company I called CF and spoke to a dispatcher, within 30 minutes a tech, Bobby, called and gave me some troubleshooting tips. I had already checked all the breakers. I decided not to lug the vacuum cleaner upstairs to the attic nor down into the crawlspace to unclog the drain pipes and potentially get it back online. Bobby offered to put in a service call for the next day, it would have been after 11 pm before he could have gotten here. The kids spent the night on the couch on the lower level where it was cooler. The next day I had a service call set up. As luck would have it, Bobby was my technician so he already knew what was going on. This was the first time the unit had really been put through the paces for cooling as outside temperatures rose. Bobby C. kept me informed throughout the process, indicated it was a warranty service call, so no charge! He educated me on the problem, his planned resolution and what to do should it occur again. Highly recommend Cape Fear Air and of course Bobby C.!

After our service appointment, which took about 2 hours total, we immediately felt a difference in the cooling of our home. Our AC no longer needs to run almost 24/7 to keep our house cool in the summer months. Our service was completed in August and we were waiting until the weather cooled off to make sure the issues we had with heating our home were also fixed. Prior to our appointment with Ellis, the temperature coming out of the registers was about 70 degrees when the heater was on. We turned the heater on for the first time this past weekend and the register was blowing at 125 degrees! Our heating issues are also fixed! We are already seeing a dramatic difference in our monthly electric bills and the cost of our service appointment felt like a steal. Great value! We will recommend Ellis to anyone who asks who we would suggest for HVAC service.
