He had to remove the existing (old, brittle) vinyl siding, attach the windows (that were never attached to begin with) to the framing, weather seal the windows to prevent water / air intrusion, and re-install the siding without damaging anything and making it look like he'd never been there. Kevin got my clients on the schedule immediately (this past Tuesday!), did a top quality job, didn't damage the landscaping/ yard or the old existing vinyl siding, he made sure the gates were shut and locked before he left, and left my clients home just as spic-and-span clean and tidy as it was when he'd started the job. He went into the home, cleaned up the mess left from old cracked caulking that had crumbled all over the window sills and floor, cut out the old caulking and redid everything so it literally looks brand new. This is just one of many example of the opportunities I've had to work with Shamrock Group, where I've either personally utilized them, or referred other agents, clients etc to Kevin (the owner) when they're needing repairs before closing or getting ready to list their homes for sale: he literally knows how to do everything from an entire punch list of ticks tack items that needed fixes to full scale remodels to help sell their homes for top dollar. Things I love about this company: family business, does good work, fair prices, easy scheduling & payment. Until recently this company didn't even have a yelp page - I heard the patriarch of the family business wasn't quite as internet savvy as his sons, so they had no website, no yelp and no internet marketing and yet still they've been in business for years and years - now here they are on Yelp. Honestly, I hesitated to even write this review because up until now (and until they get too busy for me! lol) they've literally been my "secret weapon" in real estate transactions and absolutely my go-to when a client of mine needs something. You know how it is when you find a great restaurant with amazing service, pricing and food... you don't want it to become so popular that you can never get a table or the menu changes... that was my trepidation here, but what goes around comes around. As a real estate professional, it's great to have a family run company I know I can call led by an owner / operator who understands how time sensitive my clients needs are, seems to ask all the right questions (When can I come take a look and when do you / your clients need to get it done by?), who is flexible with scheduling, has easy payment procedures, who gets me the quotes/ info back quickly, prices his work fairly, shows up on time and does excellent work. I paid the company over $10,000 to install receptacles for me for my grow operation. I had told Bruce (the owner) myself that I needed the new electric system to handle 1215 watt grow lights. All of the lights were rated for 1215 watts when his company installed the system. He proceeded to install a system designed for 600 watt lamps, that completely failed after trying it and turning the lights up to 1215watts. Bruce wouldn't even respond after pleading with him that our company was in a tight spot because of his negligence. He also lied about his workers lengths of breaks on the job, as I timed their lunches that took 45 minutes to an hour. They were recorded as 15 minute breaks. After inquiring about materials costs, he told me I was annoying and to stop asking him questions. He also bid $27,000 on a separate job that we ended up paying $15,000 for. Bruce is rude, dishonest and to be frankly honest, a crook. I would steer clear of Bruce LaLonde and work with a company like Tice electric who has been very fair. They show up on time, treat me with respect and do a reasonable job.
