What we hoped would be a supportive and professional environment ultimately became an experience marked by poor communication, lack of accountability, and abandonment at a deeply vulnerable time. After raising serious concerns and giving the practice multiple chances to respond and handle the situation with care and integrity, I was met with silence, delay, and zero effort to acknowledge or repair the rupture. There was minimal coordination with my individual therapist despite multiple requests, reflecting a concerning lack of collaboration. Also, documentation practices are questionable, Michelle told me, herself that she doesn't write notes, raising real concerns about clinical and ethical standards. Therapy clients who are brave and vulnerable enough to bring complex work to the table deserve safe, consistent, transparent and responsible care. I'm sharing this not out of spite, but to help others make informed decisions. If you are navigating emotionally complex issues, I strongly recommend seeking support from a practice equipped to handle those needs with care and integrity which this practice unfortunately is not.

This facility should not be allowed to operate. A disabled patient with degenerative disc disease,…read moresevere chronic pain, and multiple prior back surgeries was involuntarily committed under the Baker Act. The Baker Act was weaponized by his wife during a contentious divorce. She used it as a tactic to force him out of the marital home and gain an advantage in seizing marital assets. He had shown no suicidal ideation or dangerous behavior -- only wrote a respectful letter expressing sadness about their situation. While held there for over 6 days: * He was denied his prescribed pain medication from his pain management doctor. * Forced to sit in a folding metal chair all day and sleep on a thin foam mattress on a metal frame bolted to the floor. * Not allowed to have underwear or shoes. * Forced to sleep with the lights on at all times. * Received zero meaningful therapy -- only brief 8-minute meetings with technicians and group sessions watching pre-recorded videos and given faded PowerPoint presentations on coping skills, .His treatment was not curated to his specific needs or challenges. He filed a Request for Release (ROR) and was coerced into withdrawing it with threats of re-Baker Act and insurance denial. He also missed an important job interview for a position he had been pursuing for months. He resubmitted it, stood his ground for the required 24 hours and the facility failed to file the required paperwork to continue to retain him. Yet, the refused to let him go which does not align with the Florida State Law. This is not healthcare -- this is mistreatment of a vulnerable patient in severe pain. The conditions are inhumane and the "treatment" is nonexistent. This place desperately needs investigation. #BakerAct #PatientRights #FloridaHealthcare #MedicalAbuse

The facility is overbooked, leading to inadequate staffing and poor supervision. She described her time there as traumatic, feeling that she emerged in a worse state than when she entered. Many staff members lack compassion, and she felt as though she was confined in a prison-like environment. There were significant issues, such as the absence of running hot water, forcing her to take cold showers. The lack of supervision was especially concerning in the outdoor play areas, where she was bullied to the point that another child shoved grass into her mouth while staff were on their phones. Not one ounce of care. Kids sharing their traumatic experiences with others and grown men trying to flirt with kids in the yard. Disgusting!!!!! Additionally, there were troubling incidents involving older kids, some of whom had criminal backgrounds, and adults on the opposite wing who played loud, inappropriate music that young children could hear. Given these experiences, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. They say these places are suppose to help kids with this care but they actually come out worse. What I can't understand is why places like this remain open?

I appreciated Ann-Marie's doctorate, EMDR, and advice. I thought she was a great counselor until last Friday, when she ghosted me. We had an appointment scheduled, and I discovered that she dropped me as a client without any notification. No email or message to explain why. I contacted Rula (the company that set us up), and was told in an email, "According to their note, the decision was based on a mismatch in specialization, and they recommended a rematch to ensure you receive the best possible care." If she was so concerned about my care, she should've sent me a message telling me that she was dropping me as a client, why she was doing so, and wishing me luck. Ghosting me the way she did was very unprofessional and hurtful.
