I can't see in the dark & yet they schedule me for a 6am appt. My 1st appointment I was there 2 hours & the Dr didn't spend more than 10 min with me. He never mentioned my dry eye issue which I've had 30+ years. I had to bring it up after my 1st cataract Sx. He looked & said oh yes, you have dry eye. So far no change in vision & 2nd Sx in the a.m. Not sure this was the right place to go to. This place seems like a factory, bring them in, get them out. Actually, the person that called me today said we need to get you in & out ASAP. No regard to my vision for driving. I must admit that the staff for the most part is pleasant (a few exceptions). mine was good, they do shuttle ya around like cattle gates. they kept me moving, different room for different test. Dr Gray / Grey? liked and I'll be back. there was one nurse that had a s****y attitude. if I rememberd her name, i would throw them under the bus. if people don't like the time on appointments, refuse it and ask for another. I have an aggremt with myself, if I sit for 35 to 45 minutes, I ask for another appointment and leave. My husband and I have been going to the office in North Augusta for several years. It is a great place to go. Everyone is professional and knowledgeable. They are friendly and answer any questions you have. Dr. Potter is excellent and is very down to earth. He gladly answers your questions and talks in layman's terms. Good doctors but the wait is always long. I will find another doctor as I feel like I am just a number to them.

Only give One Star because the staff seemed nice. Contact lens exam. Waited 2 weeks for the appt. Upon arriving to clinic, there were 27 people in waiting room! I literally got up from my chair to allow an older lady to sit as the seats were full. This place is Insanely overbooked/mismanaged! I waited 40 min beyond my appt time to get called back! Only to get put in another huge waiting room in the back where another 14 people were waiting! Some I recognized from being called back and some that I hadn't seen called back since I had been there! I wasn't the only one! Noticed prior to getting called back another lady upset waiting for her husband to get called. After I was called back, he was sitting in the next waiting room. I waited 10 min to see one person called and left. On my way out, I noticed the lady outside. I told her this was ridiculous, and she firmly agreed. I also had to relay that her husband was just moved to another large waiting room with another 14 people further infuriating her. I am sure this place is good if you have nothing better to do but sit and wait! They pack it to maximize profit while screwing the patients left to wait over an hour (maybe more, I didn't wait any longer to find out) beyond appt times. read more

This practice is cream of the crop. the most amazing staff as well as Doctors. Most practices only care about the money. Not this practice. They work with their hearts. The most professional and best ran practice from South Carolina to Florida. The doctors are the best. I have worked in medical field 20 years and never seen one ran as smoothly as this one I have Dr. Patheja for my doctor however he's retiring. All of the doctors here are amazing. The staff nurse and Docs are the best. There is honest as they come, unlike other docs who try to charge you astronomical prices. If you want the best in the South, Choose this group. W read more

First time visiting an eye doctor's office that wasn't part of an HMO. It was really really really busy. I was greeted right away, processed and waiting to go back within 5 minutes. Then, I waited less than five minutes to go back. Went through a lot of tests and whatnot (very thorough) and was dilated for the doctor. Only waited about 10 minutes for the doctor who was nice, approachable, and thorough as well. I have to admit I felt more like a cog on an assembly line than a patient; however, they were quick, efficient and thorough. The glasses selection process was just as efficient, though the selection was limited (surprisingly well-priced). Since I am there to get efficient and quality service and not to get the warm and fuzzies, this is my new eye doctor place for sure. read more

I wish I could give them a zero. It is crazy how long it takes to get an appointment. I told them that I can't see and I feel like something is wrong. Scheduled an appointment back in March. It is now the end of April and I get a letter stating "due to unforeseen circumstances your appointment" is being rescheduled for a week later. So, now we are talking, July! I guess they don't want new patients. I called another eye doctor and got in within a week. read more

This place was recommended to me and I wish I had read the reviews before I set up an appointment that took 3 months to get only to find it being like grand central station. They move you in and out like cattle and take their sweet time to see you. As I sit here an hour after my scheduled appointment time I am still waiting to be seen by the actual doctor. I have Kerataconus which requires medically necessary contacts and in my time since wearing sclera lens since 2016 I have never had to pay a single copay or lens fitting fee. Not only did they make me pay a copay they are wanting me to pay a $100 fitting fee. To top it off, my family is double insured in vision and they don't want to run it through both insurance carriers. As I sit here waiting for my appointment I am bracing for the fight to not be charged for a medically necessary lens fitting. I'll update this after my departure experience (if I ever get to see the doctor that is). Update. I finally did get to see the doctor and it was very pleasant. Actually would give her and her assistant a FIVE star rating. The doctor was able to clear up the lens fitting fee and I did not have to pay. Long story short you have to advocate for yourself. If you know you don't have to pay, then speak up, otherwise they will take your money. I increased my rating to three stars because of the doctor. It is a busy place expect to wait, but the staff are pleasant people. read more

My 80 year old Mother had cataract surgery on one eye on Feb.23, 2022. They won't allow people in the surgery center and I completely understand but when she was in recovery, her nurse ripped off the tape that held her IV in place and off with the tape came about an inch an a half of her skin! They apologized many times and of course me and my 2 sisters are still upset about this. Just wanted to educate people as I see many elderly people go to this place. read more

Worst patient focus great focus on your wallet. Called to make appointment was told that I wasn't due until July 23 it's May 15 my vision has changed with now stable blood sugar and a viscous sac detachment in my right eye. After I explained that is when I was told doctor not available until August. I will not be going back. read more

I have been a regular patient with Dr. Smith for many years now. Today when I showed up for my scheduled appointment I was told that I would have to reschedule since Dr. Smith was not in town. Don't understand why the office wouldn't have called me to let me know this before I actually made the trip to their office & wasted my whole morning. Very inconsiderent & unprofessional. I was so grateful for the office's flexibility while pregnant- I needed to reschedule two appointments due to unexpected emergency medical visits and they were great. This happened in addition to having my new glasses (from another provider) break, and then my last pair of contacts ripped. I have been seeing Dr. Kozlowski for several years now and buy my glasses from Aiken Ophthalmology. I have always been very pleased with Dr. K - he is honest and has never recommended anything I didn't need. I like the way the service is set up at stations - it helps feel like I am getting somewhere, rather than sitting around. The staff has always been very prompt and helpful. After a month of trying to get my husbands glasses we give up ! Their eyeglasses seem like an after thought. ! Blaming lab for not making them right TWICE .Maybe you need a better lab ?? Not really, impressed. I had to wait a month and a half for my appointment only to be turned down once I arrived. They claimed they did not accept my insurance. (METLIFE) Yet my carrier has them listed. I had given my information to the clerk when I called. They could informed me then. Poor customer service. I have called 13 times today and the only people that answered the phone is the phone service. They keep telling me to call back. I guess the people there do not feel like answering the phone today. I was put on hold at one time for about 5 minutes only to have the phone answered by the service again. I will never call again. Now I remembered why I stopped going there years ago. read more

Acting professional in a professional office is to be expected, however, being rude and brusque was not something I expected to find in the North Augusta office. The commercials portray them as being so friendly and helpful. Only one young lady was nice, the remainder, including the doctor, were quite rude and most unhelpful especially when they realized I was financially challenged. I have made an appointment elsewhere and I hope to report the new people will have been nicer. read more

Incompetent. They got my optical prescription very wrong and tried to push surgery on me which 2nd and 3rd opinions said was unnecessary.
