My family took us to Ramboy's when we were in Aklan and it quickly became one of my favorite places…read moreto eat! The restaurant is clean and spacious, perfect for large groups, we were 10 people. The staff were nice and friendly, though the service took over 20 minutes so we were really hungry by the time the food came. We ordered liempo baboy, liempo manok, fish sinigang, pork sweet and sour, grilled bangus, chopsuey, and rice. My favorites were the liempo baboy and liempo manok, the pork was tender and juicy with a crispy outside, and the chicken was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The sinigang was tasty, and while the bangus was good, I wished it was a little crispier. The pork sweet and sour had a nice flavor but didn't have much meat compared to the sauce. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Ramboy's, but if you're dining with a big group, expect to wait a bit for your food.

Ramboy's is a popular lechonan/barbeque joint near Caticlan Airport. Here you can get everything…read moreyou can typically get from a well-stocked barbeque place - crispy pata, lechon manok, liempo, grilled calamari, boneless bangus, tuna belly, and so on. In addition, you can get non-BBQ Filipino favorites - kare-kare, kinilaw and lumpiang shanghai, just to name a few. Our guide took us there when we arrived mid-afternoon from Manila; it proved to be a good choice. A takeout order of rice and newly barbequed liempo and lechon manok served all seven of us. Prices were fairly reasonable - 210 pesos for a whole roasted chicken, 300 peso for a kilogram of roast pork. The roasting pit is continually turning out food because the place is popular even post-lunch, said our guide. If you are on your way to Boracay Island and are feeling a bit hungry, grab something to go here before getting on the ferry.
