Conching's is famous for one thing: their charcoal-grilled native chicken. What is a native chicken? They are more commonly raised in rural areas, cage-free. They are smaller in size than the regular chicken, it's because of their organic diet. Both its size and diet make these native chicken unique and more natural in taste. We ordered two servings and it didn't disappoint. So delicious, salted just right and the skin is crunchy. Setting looks rundown, nothing fancy with long tables and plastic chairs and a grill out front. Very laid back. Live music entertained the diners... young adults with music instruments. I was amused. The setup seems simple, big open space and barbecue area on corner. They were also clever to isolate the barbecue area like a smoking room so you don't smell like barbecue after a meal. It has to be in the sauce or choice of meat since it visually looks the same except for the saice they use which is dark black ad opposed to the typical bright red. But despite the plenty of barbecue places om cebu this place seems to be popular and becoming a neighborhood favorite.

As we waited for them to grill our food, we picked a table and the waitress came over and took our order for rice and beverages. About 10-15 minutes later we have our rice and bbq meats! The meats were tender and fell off the bone, they were perfectly cooked! The bbq sauces were delicious , it had a nice sweet Smokey taste. We literally spent about $15 for everything.
