I'm so sad that the first review on this place was a negative one as it almost caused me to miss out on one of the second best Gnocchi's I have ever had. So glad I didn't dismiss this place!
The Gnocchi scampi was absolutely delicious! The vegetables (yellow peppers and zucchini) were perfectly cooked i.e not too soft and not too crispy where the flavor is overpowering, and shrimps that were so fresh, you swear they were caught in the moment. Finally, it had the perfect amount of sauce and olive oil bringing it all together for a perfect blend of flavoring. I damn nearly licked the plate (no seriously, I took all the bread from the breadbasket and wiped that plate clean!).
My friend had the margarita pizza with French fries which was a unique combination for the eyes lol, but he enjoyed it.
Lastly, I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc which was nice and fruity, while he had a beer. Nothing to brag about here.
The place is small when you walk in but they have additional seating up stairs and outside (beware! Like all restaurants in Venice, they charge and extra fee to sit outside)
Service was very friendly and fast. Overall I would definitely recommend you stop here if you end up on Burano island. read more
