    Mini poke bowl
    Analiea M.

Came here for dinner last night after a work out and enjoyed it so much ! They had such a large selection of fish to choose from and they were kind enough to let me sample a couple! Great service. The toppings were also fresh and nice and stocked which is nice because it was close to closing. I got the mini poke bowl with the tuna lava and it was DELICIOUS! They offer hand rolls and spam musubi that I will definitely be trying next time I come back! Very clean inside and super casual ambiance! It's nice to have a healthier option to eat in my area

My brother likes to surprise me with lunch every now and then, and this time it was from Ahipoki. I've never been to the physical location but their take out is great. My brother got me a bowl with what looks like spicy tuna, imitation crab, and salmon (I could be wrong). He went wild and just added random toppings, so I have to rate it based on what he chose. The imitation crab was ok, a little dry. I wish there was more sauce that came with it. The spicy tuna was good, not spicy at all. The salmon was also really good, a little creamy from whatever sauce that it had on it. I wish there was more salmon on my bowl, out of the three it seemed like the least amount. There was also cucumbers, edamame, pineapple, and crispy onion. The crispy onion wasn't my favorite. It was all on top of white rice. Overall a good generous meal. Definitely plenty of toppings and rice. I like that you can order ahead of time online and just pick up and go. It's a filling lunch. Fish tastes fresh and delicious. So many different combinations to test out so you can always try something new even if you come in all the time.

Stopped by Monday afternoon and they were not busy. Lots of seating inside and it was clean. Staff were friendly. Food was good!

Deliciously fresh and filling! Ordered the two scoop poke bowl that included marinated tuna and salmon. Tip top quality ingredients even all the extra toppings, sauces and veggies. (Btw eel sauce with spicy mayo is an elite combo!!!) They even have a Thai tea fountain. Had a get a large of course. Drink had the right amount of sweetness. It was perfect to wash it all down! 10/10 overall no complaints

I really enjoy the food from here and have enjoyed the experience every time. I usually get 4 scoops of the protein with the salad and kelp noodles. Everything is always fresh. I recently tried a hot bowl of the chicken with tuna Mac and white rice and it's now one of my favorites. The hand rolls are amazing too, made with a generous amount of protein. If you're looking for a healthy alternative to fast casual spots, you've found the right place. I especially like the service. Marlon is there quite a bit and has served me several times. He's made every experience enjoyable. He's friendly and always puts a smile on my face. He's exceptionally good and is an asset to this establishment. If you're ever in Sylmar and looking for something special, stop by. You won't be disappointed! Cheers!!!

Nothing but good vibes and good food here at Ahipoki. Fresh fish, clean facility and good customer service. I was able to sample before ordering, the staff provides great recommendations and a variety of bowls and plates to meet any appetite. There are rice and salad options for base. The protein selections are very flavorful and unique. The toppings are standard, similar to most poke spots.... but the sauces, there are plenty, from mild to spicy, to make your tastebuds do the happy dance.

love portions and service! very accommodating and let me try a few samples since it was my first time visiting!

I love the portions and the service here! The staff was very accommodating and let me try a few samples since it was my first time visiting. I really appreciate that I like to taste before I buy something I might not enjoy. They were also so detailed in explaining how to order and what items are most popular. Excellent experience overall!

First time visiting this place and it won't be my last! The guy who helped us was extremely helpful today. The food all looked fresh and it tastes like it as well. I got a large bowl with 3 proteins and it was perfect to share for two people. The establishment was clean and I found parking right in front of the restaurant which helped as well. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Clean, quick, and good service if you're looking for something to fill your stomach. Their portions are generally smaller than other poke locations and it's about the same price. They do offer a variety of new sauce such as sweet citrus, wasabi citrus, garlic soy mirin, and kimchi sauce. They also have a grilled menu - chicken teriyaki and salmon bowl, musubis- spam and unagi, and handrolls.

I appreciate the mini bowl option. $9 It's a great value and quite filling for the portion. They have a variety of proteins, toppings and sauces. I'd return next time I'm craving poke.

Good food, average price, large portions actually compared to other Poke places I have been to so that's a plus. Fresh ingredients. I also saw unique options for the proteins, like Kimchi Shrimp, Lava Tuna, Hawaiian Imitation Crab, Fire Salmon, etc. which I liked a lot cause it made it seem different from other Poke places. Also unique sauces too, like Kimchi Sauce. Service was good too, they had two people working which is nice cause I usually go and there's only really one person on slow days. They gave hefty scoops even with the tiniest scooper I have ever seen. It was actually spacious inside and possible to eat there. Ton of parking cause it's literally right next to target. Seems like that shopping center is pretty new too there was some construction going on. Overall I liked it and want to come back!

Based on their website, it says, "Ahipoki...where vibrant flavors of the Pacific meet the laid-back California lifestyle. Step into our sunny oasis and embark on a culinary journey that celebrates the art of poke...we're passionate about creating poke bowls that showcase the freshest ingredients and bold flavors." I am sorry to say that they did not live up to this expectation. I was here today (1/31/24) for the Grand Opening 50% off Poke Bowls and it really did not hit the mark. I am a frequent Poke Bowl connoisseur and have had much better. I ordered the 3 scoop bowl with: Half Kelp Noodles and Half Greens Octopus, Tuna Luau, and Salmon Garlic Soy Mirin Sauce and Eel Sauce Edamame, Cucumber, Daikon Sprout, Pineapple, Seaweed Salad, Crispy Onion, and Furikake -The Octopus was way chewy and they put way too much sauce on so when I got to eating it, everything was soggy. -They majorly skimp on the fish portions. -Even thought it was half off, paying normally $14-$16+Tax for this meal would be extreme and way to much for the income bracket that this location is located in Will not be back unless someone else is paying.

In my opinion, I actually prefer their crawfish flavor over Drunken Crab or Boiling Crab... but hey, that's just me . Either way, this spot is absolutely worth it every time.

Our family of 4 usually orders the family meal with 2 lbs of shrimp, 1 lb of mussels, Cajun fries, and the spicy Boss sauce -- always so good! However, over the last year or so with the new ownership, I've noticed they've been giving less sauce, and now I usually have to buy an extra side with my order. There was also an employee who told me he wouldn't serve me unless I took my water bottle back to the car, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. My family and I truly enjoy coming here, so I hope they continue the great quality and customer service we used to receive with the previous owners. Because of that great experience, we decided to go back after a long time, this time on a Sunday. When we walked in, we immediately noticed a big difference . There were a lot of empty tables. We ordered shrimp cocktails (cócteles de camarón) and sat down. Unfortunately, this time the food was not good at all. The juice in the shrimp cocktail was extremely salty,so salty that I couldn't eat it. I went back to the counter and explained the issue. The girl helping us was very nice and explained that they cure the shrimp with salt since it's not cooked. She offered to remake it, which they did, and I appreciated the effort. However, even the remake just didn't taste good to me. I like my seafood to taste fresh, with a natural seafood flavor not overly salty or loaded with condiments. This experience made me wonder if something has changed at the restaurant, especially since it was so empty compared to our first visit. The staff was friendly and did try to make it right, which I appreciate, but overall this visit was disappointing. Since it's also out of our way and we only stopped because we happened to be in the area, I don't think we'll be coming back. It's unfortunate because our first experience was so much better. The ambiance was pleasant. They had a couple of TVs playing football, music in the background, and the place was clean but the food just didn't live up to our previous experience.

Nuzzled in the neighborhood of Sylmar ( yes you heard right ... Don't let it fool you it's worth it, fer real), you'll find this gem. Even better, go get a book and read and eat some delicious tacos. I'm not an expert at Mexican food but I am definitely picky when I eat Mexican food. Unless it's home made ... By my Brother- in-law's mom, I'm probably not gonna even try because I'm just not eating my calories in things I'm not sure I'll enjoy. It's my form of a healthy diet . You'll have to convince me otherwise. This is me convincing you that these are worth it. There's also a mural that will welcome you and put a smile on your face. For I think it's $5 now a taco you'll get a cheese lined flour tortilla open faced taco packed with so much meat of your choice and some semi spicy sauce that just makes you want more.
