The ladies at the front desk were just the friendliest people you could ever meet. They were able to answer all my questions and also my wife's questions with straight answers and gave me some great opinions on how I could get started. Within a few days, I was in a classroom with Mark training and preparing myself for the CDL permit test. Mark is a great teacher, he was funny and very detailed oriented. He had a way of making sure class didn't get too boring. Thanks to Mark, I was able to pass my permit test on my first try only missing one question. After I obtained my permit, it was time to start hands-on training out in the yard. This is where I got nervous because I don't always get along with other people. Especially people with chips on their shoulder. Once I got out there I realized it was all in my head. Because the students and staff out in the yard were justice friendly as the staff in the office and it made it very easy to want to come back every day. To me, it felt like being a kid again just hanging out with my friends at the playground. Of all the students I became friends with there are 3 that really stand out to me... Andrew, Lionel & Onay I appreciate you guys' and your friendship. I wish you guys the best of luck, happiness and a safe journey in life. The instructors out in the yard were absolutely fantastic. The 3 instructors that I worked with the most where Mona, Tony and Markell. They always showed up to the yard with great attitudes. They never let their personal lives interfere or affect how they were teaching the students. Tony was really good about letting me drive around at my own pace, learning how to shift in and out of the gears properly. Markell was fantastic at keeping me motivated and teaching me a lot about the different size trailers and how each one maneuvers differently. He was also able to help me out with my exterior pre-trip inspection. He taught me a few things I didn't know and helped me get ready for the big test day. Mona is an absolute rock star!! She really went above and beyond helping me every step of the way, and any time I ask for a little more assistance with anything she made sure I got it. She taught me everything I needed to know about my in cab pre-trip inspection and my offset parking. She really went above and beyond helping me get ready for my road test. My driving was rough, but it wasn't bad. Mona took me out and made sure I was ready for those tight right turns and curvy roads. Mona, I can't thank you enough. You didn't have to invest your time in me But you did it anyway, and I appreciate you and everything you did for me. Mona, Tony, Markell, Andrew, Lionel and Onay.... John H. was amazing! We had arranged he would pick up our son from the house and then we would meet them at the DMV for the scheduled drive test. We had a little paperwork issue which was my fault, but John was there and got me the right contact to be able to remedy the issue quickly and still be able to take the drive test. He was very patient and easy to talk to and always showed up to my house early or on time. Starting out, if you just follow EVERYTHING he tells you to do, then things will start to make sense and driving becomes sort of second nature. I love their car because it's fun, comfortable, and easy to use. My 2 problems with them is after 10 hours of driving lessons, I still didn't know how to park and be a safe driver. After them, I can drive but not well. And last thing, my instructor always interfered with my steering wheel. I totally appreciate it starting off because I sucked but by the last few lessons, I felt like I got the hang of it and just needed practice but I didn't learn when he was always taking over the wheel. Overall my experience was good and I do recommend them for any type of driver including first time drivers. But if you're a first time driver, don't expect to be great by the end of it. NV Drivers Ed goes above and beyond! Our son had his permit and had been driving for more than the…read morehours required but was nervous about the driving test. We were, too! We called NV Drivers Ed with to see about getting a lesson from someone outside of our family. They were able to fit us in on short notice and Brian took our son himself for the lesson. He was amazing! He took him to the area where he was testing the next week and explained things the instructors look for and pointed out a few tricky areas, including construction zones, school zone, a street where the speed limit changes, and a few other things. In addition, we noticed our son drove differently after that one lesson!!! He was more observant of right-of-way, tricky 4-way stops, and some extra things that we didn't even know about!!!
