After the storm passed, I attempted to return the item unused and in it's original unopened packaging along with my proof of purchase (original receipt). The clerk refused to refund my $24.59, stating that the item was Hurricane related and was not returnable. I was not informed of this policy at the time of the transaction. I will no longer patronize this business and I will caution others to avoid this place of business because of their deceptive business practices.

On the third attempt to get a key cut the man told me the regular key guy was on lunch and he couldn't cut the key after fumbling trough books and the key stock explained it was my third trip to your store to get the key cut and I was going to leave a review explaining the poor service I received and I would like his name, he wouldn't give me his name, I insisted I wanted his name for the review, he then said my name is "Bill". on my way out I asked the girl at the register if the guy at the key counters name was Bill and she said no it's "Mike" said he lied to me and said his name was BILL, she shook her head and said his name is Mike. I hope the owner gets to see this review. As a customer, I can go anywhere, I can get a key cut at Walmart or many other places. I chose to give you my business, and your employee was horrible and lied to me, trying to cover his piss poor work ethic. He should be fired.

For the older generation scanning there own items, paying for their items through a machine is so impersonal. I Wish LOWES would have done some market research on how this was going to affect all age demographics. To stay ahead of this may I suggest you have a greeter at the front door advising older folks that your transitioning to a new and improved checkout processes. That you'll have someone walk them through it when they are ready to pay. May I also suggest that you have your friendliest and most patient tellers be at the self check out kiosks. That way they can ask how the person is paying before they start scanning items on the CC only kiosk. Someone that knows how to smile and can change the computer to accept a card payment. Someone how has PATIENCE dealing with the unknown.
