Andrea let Lola take separate space and kept her and the other dogs apart while Lola adjusted to being there. During my 9 days of vacation, I was sent updates, multiple times during the day and pictures. Leaving Lola was very hard but Harvey's Pet Care made it easier. They are responsibile for failing to report his injury leading to a delay in diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately to him having violent muscle spasms in their lobby. But after a ton of research, it became clear that Contented Cats has no equal in the area - and for great reason! Having CC take care of my lil girl made what could have been a stress-ridden vacation easy and free. From the love Gwen has for, and the joy she clearly takes in animals, to the photos and videos of my kitty playing in their care area made me so comfortable on my vacation. The cat enclosures are 3 to 4 times larger than your average cat-hotel "room" and the majority of them look out of windows to a front yard with chickens (in the summer). The ones inside still get plenty of natural light. What's more, when you visit the space, all of the cats are calm and happy, sleeping or playing. What's more, when I went to pick my girl up, she was all purrs and nuzzles - but also wanted to stay, play, and get some pets from Gwen. To me, that's the sign it was the right choice. My cat has bad separation anxiety and usually has a very hard time being away from me, even if she's at home, and has shown signs of distress for days after I've been gone for an extended period of time, but she was her regular self immediately upon coming home. If u look at my my history, you will see that is true. I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience at this establishment. We brought our labradoodle to a location in CT after months of no grooming due to covid -19. If you know labradoodles, u know they have very long hair which easily Gets matted, deep under the furry exterior. That location wound up having to shave very low to the base of the fur, but our dog still came out handsome as can be; fluffy tail and face, but low shave on the body. (As shown in the image provided) After waiting a few months for dog works to open, because it is much closer...our dog once again needed a groom desperately. We brush him daily - but we're advised by dog works that, that is not enough. (Due to the information they provided and friendliness, I gave them two stars) however our dog once again needed to be cut short. The problem is, when we saw our dog after already paying and generously tipping, he didn't even look like himself. My family owns a alpaca farm, I would much relate the shaving job to that of how we shave our alpacas once a year; uneven and rushed. All that is left fluffy on our dog is a portion of his tail. Our dog is still the most handsome boy but they took away his character. Will not be returning.
