I can't say enough good things about the grooming and people at Fur's a Flying. I have a Havanese with serious anxiety and previously struggled for several years to find a place that would work with him because he can be aggressive during grooming. Not only have the people at Furs a Flying taken on this challenge of a dog, but they have also never been unkind or judgmental about him. If you have a difficult dog, you know that even among dog professionals, you are often confronted with people who are not very sympathetic or understanding. I have been going to Furs a Flying for about three years now and am very grateful for their work. Here is a before and after. They are often booked up, so you have to plan ahead, but I think it's completely worth it to have great haircuts and the peace of mind of knowing your dog is in such good hands. read more

Lindsey groomed my 4 month old Australian labradoodle puppy today and she did such a great job! I was impressed that she asked questions about how we wanted her hair cut - length etc and then really stuck to it! She even said at the end to let us know if we wanted anything done differently next time. The price was very reasonable and my puppy came out happy and cute! Lindsey clearly took her time and made sure she wasn't traumatized by her first haircut. I have no idea how she managed to groom my crazy puppy but I'm glad she did! The staff take good care to introduce new pups slowly to the rest of the crew, and really care about animals. They are very accommodating for last minute drop offs and baths. All my friends bring their pets to Fur's A Flyin' so I thought I would give it a try. It's a half hour from my home so I have hesitated. Well not any more. This place rocks and was totally worth the trip! This place is affordable and the staff is way more talented than any place I brought my cats before. One of my cats is pictured here "Falcor". His cut was done in an hour and I asked the groomer to just have fun. I think he looks amazing! read more

I try to leave positive reviews, but in this case I have procrastinated. Now with a new dog, I'm searching for a groomer and felt obligated to share my experience here summer 2014. They were welcoming and pretty clean for a groomers. But my issue was when I picked up my dog they casually said that he "choked a little" and that it caused him to "throw up just a little." I was caught completely off guard and couldn't figure out how this would happen and was too emotional to confront them on details. I usually took him to another place but wanted to give this local spot a try. It traumatized me and I never returned with him. Unfortunately he got an ear infection week later and he scratched so hard he needed ear surgery. I wonder if they never dried his ears. Sadly he passed away due to old age a month later, but I regretted he ever had to experience this place. read more

I've brought my Pomeranian to other groomers and it always seemed like they forgot to do things that were requested. I even brought him to a place that when we picked him up he looked incredibly sad and would flinch and lock up when I tried brushing him at home so we tried Furs a Flyin. Brought him in and he came out so cute with a puppy cut and when he walked out from the back he actually looked happy and not traumatized. The staff was very friendly. It can be hard to get a quick appointment but I think that speaks for itself. read more

I've never taken a pet to the groomer before so I have nothing to compare with. That being said, I was happy with this place. I've only had the cat for a week and she had been abused/neglected and was dirty from the shelter. She looks and smells amazing and the staff were holding and comforting her. They were helpful and polite as well. I only got her a bath but she looks much better and I would return. read more

The people here and very nice and willing to help! They are one of the few places that grooms cats as well as dogs. My cat had a large matted area on his back, and I was told I could just bring him in any morning and they could take care of it. As soon as I got there they brought him back and took care of it. They were very gentle, my cat did not seem to mind the buzzer at all. The place was small, clean, and reasonable. I will definitely be returning to them with my other pets! read more

I've been bring my dogs here for years for daycare and grooming. Always friendly, reasonable prices, small and family-owned and most importantly - my dogs love them! They were even incredibly kind when my old pup was getting senile and cranky. They were gentle with her and compassionate towards me, knowing how much I loved my girl.
