I am very pleased with my experience at Aha. I went on a Tuesday afternoon. It wasn't too busy. I went in for a mani pedi. My nail technician's name was Jenny. I must admit my toes were in bad shape. Jenny took her time. I mean she went iiin. She was so thorough between the shaping and the cleaning. She took her time. My toes ended up looking lovely even before the nail polish. The owner and other nail technicians were nice and the environment as comfortable. My nails also came out very nice. It was affordable too. $30 is not bad for this area. I have no complaints. Nancy is inattentive and unprofessional. I've been getting gel manicures for most of my adult life and never has anyone sanded my nails down so vigorously that my nail beds BURNED. She laughed at me and offered a halfhearted apology. She also caught my cuticle skin quite hard twice which resulted in cuts. She again, laughed it off. While she was trimming my cuticles, she actually looked away to speak to another customer WHILE TRIMMING. When I went to cure my nails under the lamp, they burned even more. When I brought that up, she said it was NORMAL. It hurt so much that I could not keep them under the lamp for more than a few second at a time. This is UNACCEPTABLE. If your customer says that the service is painful, PAY ATTENTION. I am not saying something hurts for no reason. And you should NOT be looking elsewhere when you are using something sharp on a client. I paid in full and left a tip because I sat thru it all and completed the service but I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. I've been coning to Aha for many years now. The salon is modern and does not have that strong odor that other salons in the area have. Many colors to choose from, the staff is very friendly and nice. The salon is spacious so you are not bumping into other people. The tv is on a channel that you can enjoy. I tried the gel once and it lasted over a month. I had been here before for a fill in but decided to hop on the gel mani bandwagon. So. I came here after seeing a special for $26 for gel manicure online. However when I came, they said it was $30 and proceeded to argue with me that the special wasn't going on anymore. We'll the fact that it was still on their website was not my problem. Low and behold, after putting up a fight and starting to leave they decided to create a "student special" for $26 and magically discovered gel colors that had "$26" on it. Very strange. This is the second time I've been here. I don't really remember if I liked my nails the first time but this time I am not pleased. First of all, they weren't very friendly. I walked in and there was only 2 other customers in the place, so it's not like they were very busy. There was little attempt to make friendly conversation. But honestly, this wouldn't even bother me so much if they did a good job. I don't really care to make awkward conversation, personally. My main issue is that I got just a regular manicure and I feel like because it was just that and not a gel or dip manicure it was a rush job and not much care was put into it (again, there was practically no other customers so there's no reason for this). Anyway, I'm attaching some photos. You can see on my middle and ring fingers there is some rough spots near the cuticle. In my opinion that is sloppy work and completely unacceptable. I give this location 5 stars. Every time I come here I get friendly, fast service and my nails ALWAYS hold up until the next appointment. Other places around make you wait for half hour even With an appointment, then do fast but poor work. Leaving you with chips within the first two days and streaks in their nail painting. All the employees at Aha are talented and professional, and will accommodate any request you have. Eyebrows, pedis the works. Please do not go here! I went this morning and there was two people working I asked for a manicure and pedicure and was the only person there at the time. They took me to do my manicure and midway another client walked in and they asked me to move so that client can get her manicure and they asked me to wait. Neither of us had an appointment, but they thought it was okay to stop my manicure midway to accommodate the other client. I ended up leaving because I felt this was absolutely unprofessional. I hate to pull the race card, but clearly there was a reason they prioritized the other client. When My daughter called them after to ask what happened they laughed and pretended to not speak English even though they had no issues when I was there before. Please do not go here. read more

This is the absolute worst nail experience I have ever had. I came in for a classic fill and I am beyond disgusted at my results. Not only did it take an hour and 40 minutes but this is the end results (see pictures below). Tony is horrible, do not go here. I want my money back. I was in a bind and needed my nails asap. I decided to return although my prior experience wasn't the best. Needless to say, they didn't let me down, I was NOT happy again. The Tech was not well experienced as he made errors others caught and corrected. My nails lifted within 2 days. I placed glue on them however the worst situation occurred, yes, fungus. If I could score this shop lower than 1 star, I would. I will not post the pictures. read more

Really unsatisfied with this place. I came here with my friend on a Sunday and the same lady did both of our nails so it took over 2 hours. I got a refill and she got a full set. My friend mentioned that she kept getting cut by the filer and then she did the same to me. The lady told me my nails would be $35 once they were finished but the price on the menu said $20 plus $5 for gel polish. I questioned the price and she told me it was $5 for cut down and $5 for shape but they're just square. I just left there and noticed that my one nail is so butchered. On top of that, the color looks so bad, she could've put more layers on or something. I'm never really unhappy with my nails at any other place I go. I will never go back there. read more

Went for a gel mani/ pedi and I will never return to this place. My gel mani started lifting the very next day and by day four it was chipped on six of my fingers (see photos)! My pedicure was going well until the nail tech cut a chunk of skin and I started bleeding. I'm actually writing this review after my sister had gotten a terrible gel manicure from here. My sister had both a gel manicure and pedicure done here, and by the time she got home her thumb nail had a indent and a bubble and so did her toe. It's just a sure sign that the gel wasn't dried or cured long enough or properly. To wrap this up, I'm honestly only giving it two stars and that's me being generous considering that the extra star was because they weren't necessarily rude and they didn't charge my sister to fix their mistakes. (I had to re-schedule because I injured my finger, which caused bruising under my thumb nail, so I didn't want to risk anything by getting a manicure with a bruised nail.) DISLIKES: - The receptionist/manager (whoever he is) kept calling me to make sure I was coming. (I thought the whole point of them securing your appointment with a credit card when you book online was to make sure you showed up. So... what's point of blowing my phone up?) - My nail technician didn't talk to me at all really, she just worked. (I usually don't mind peace and quiet, but it just made the experience kind of awkward.) - When she did my polish, I watched her work to see if she'd catch the little mistakes that SO many nail technicians always overlook. But of course, many mistakes were left behind, which especially showed since I have brown skin and was getting white polish. It looked like I did them myself at home. *sigh* Whatever. The place is cute and clean, but boring. They have televisions but had the nerve to have soap operas playing. I was planning to relax after work in order to skip the traffic so I decided to try out this salon. They took me right away since they didn't have anyone waiting and the pedi was very relaxing and thorough as you can see. The pedi technician was very sweet and careful. I paid extra $5 for removal of my gel pedi which was fine with me. Then we moved onto the awful "express" gel manicure. For people who have gotten gel manis they know that usually they take some precision to get right and this was by far the sloppiest work that I've ever had done. My technician was a very nice young man but you could see how rushed he was. He was jumping back and forth between me and another client which was ridiculous to me. I would have preferred to wait for someone who could give me some more attention. He skipped any kind of preparation so I got no soaking and when he cut my cuticles I ended up bleeding bad ouch! Some of the nails are way over-filed to the point like they look like inverse rounded nails rather than the simple square shape I asked for. Then he slobbed on nail polish coats like before kindly kicking me out. He did no further filing or any touch ups to fix the polish that was clearly spilling far past my nail bases. 15 minutes would have been worth it if it was a nice job but this was aweful. Altogether I paid 55$ for a gel manicure and plain pedicure which was not cheap I'm very dissatisfied! read more

Second time here and the service is really poor. Most nail saloons say 5-10 minutes and mean 30 so i wont make a big deal about the long wait time. But i had an issue with the person getting up to do things while in the middle of doing my pedicure. Someone walked in and needed her nails touched up and she did it while in the middle of doing my nails. And, i have been waiting here for 30 or more minutes. Last time i came for my manicure, i got a french and she used this technique that globbed on tons of white nailpolish so it was clumpy and thick. Not attractive. Two strikes for this place. Although I am happy I was started on right away ... I was disappointed with the work done, the amount of time it took and the amount I was charged for it. I got a regular mani & pedi which usually I would expect that for a regular manicure, it won't last that long due to the things I do on a daily basis. The work that was done did not look good. I have been to Aha Nails and Spa multiple times. I started going when they first opened and was a repeat customer because of its convenience, and until recently they were quite competitively priced. I recently had an awful experience there and will not be returning. These are my minor issues: 1. When you make an appointment online, they take your credit card info. If you don't cancel 24 hours in advance, they still charge you HALF of the price of the services that you booked. Then they accept walk ins. So, if you make an appointment and something more important than your nails comes up (which are MANY things) you're out that money. 2. They charge FIVE dollars for callous removal during a pedicure. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't this part of the essence of a pedicure? 3. The owner calls right before your appointment to make sure you are still coming, which you would think no big deal, but why else would you give your credit card info? This was my awful experience: I made an appointment for a pedicure, Shellac manicure and eyebrow waxing. I was in a wedding that weekend and wanted to make sure that my nails looked good by Saturday still. I don't get to do things for myself often, so I wanted a manicure that would last. I paid 33 dollars for a French gel manicure, which was guaranteed for 7 days. I went on a Wednesday night. On Thursday night my first nail chipped. I was too busy to go in and it wasn't a huge deal, so I went about my weekend, saying I would take care of it when the weekend was over. They are closed on Mondays. By Sunday night every nail had chips and/or was peeling off. Since they were closed Monday, I called Tuesday afternoon. The owner made me an appointment for Thursday because he wanted me to see the same person who did my nails the first time. I went in expecting my nails to be fixed (and honestly it needed to be redone, a gel manicure should not start peeling within a week). The owner offered to do a Shellac manicure for the reduced price of 20 dollars. (On WHAT planet is that honoring his guarantee to fix?) When I asked about the guarantee, and that I called within the 7 days he said he couldn't redo it because I didn't call the moment it chipped. When I explained I was away for the weekend and then they were closed on Mondays he talked to me as if I were a high school student who hadn't done their homework and he was my teacher. He said "Just because you were away doesn't mean you couldn't pick up the phone or send me an email" Who emails a nail salon? And who calls a business when they are closed? Overall the owner was rude, refused to honor his word even when I told him if he did not fix my nails I would not be returning. I did not appreciate how rude he was to me, a repeat customer. I will not be back and am looking for a new salon, that actually treats their customers like adults, not 5 year olds. read more

Went here based on the yelp reviews as a walk-in - i needed a gel fill and pedi - sat with jimmy - he was great - easy to talk too , we got along great- he filed and shaped my nails exactly how I asked. The 4 stars are for jimmy- would have given 5 if this was just for him- The pedi was with an older lady - which was the laziest pedi ever- she clipped my nails- one swipe of the file - didn't clean under the nail -etc- or do any cuticles - scrubbed my feet/ legs for all of 2 min - and paint - they look fine - but really lady? Their waxing, however, should just be removed from their brochure and website. DO NOT go here for waxing. It was a nightmare. This is my second time getting acrylics and I have to say that I was very happy with this place, and I plan on coming back for fills and whatnot being that it is very close to my office. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at ease which is very nice. They also did a spectacular job and I am very happy with the results. I do feel bad because they only take cash only tips and I only had my card but, I will be back and will refer this salon. You can't beat the prices. My experience here was just okay. The place itself is nice and clean, and the people working there are very friendly but the service left a lot to be desired. I've come here for both spa pedicures and shellac manicures. The spa pedicure was mediocre. Not a great massage, not hydrating lotions. I wasn't impressed for the price paid. My first shellac manicure I believe was with a woman named Veronica.. she was being told how to do the shellac manicure by I'm assuming the manager in Spanish(clearly not realizing I understood them, might as well said out loud "Hey I've never done this, what do I do?") while she was doing my nails! I'm not here to be a Guinea pig, and the job showed that she was not that experienced. I went back a few other times and had a good shellac manicure with Lucy, no complaints there.
