Later on, we found out that section was already out of season. As we walked farther, we finally saw much better cherries, but most of the good ones were way too high to reach and there were no ladders available. There were some lower branches, but the cherries there were not great in quality, so we ended up picking only around 3 lbs. We then decided to switch to the peach and nectarine area hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately there was barely anything good to pick. Most of the fruits were either overripe, damaged, or already picked over. Overall, it felt like the farm should have better guidance on which sections are still worth visiting before customers pay and spend time walking around in the heat. The staff was fine, but the overall fruit quality and picking experience were disappointing for us this visit.

We took a tractor out to the fields. We were able to pick Lapins (deep red and sweet), sweethearts (which my kids loved, but they were a bit more sour to us), and rainiers (the yellow red ones and our favorite as they were super sweet). The cherries were easy to pick even for our little kids, and there were a few ladders in the trees as well. We went on Memorial Day weekend so there was also a shaved ice tent and cannolis and Italian spritzes available for purchase. The farm was also selling sweet corn at the cashier. We ended up with about 8 lbs. You can bring your own food, drinks and your own bag/backpacks. Don't forget snacks, sunscreen, a hat and drinks! Also a cooler for your produce!

Tips/Additional Information: - Do make sure to come early in the morning. Crowds start coming in at around 9:30 which means fewer cherries for everyone. - The current price is $3.50/pound - Go to the back closer to the edge of the field, that's where you will get the most quality cherries. - Don't pick the cherries out in the sun as delicious as they look, they are usually smaller because the water moisture has been sucked out of them. It's rare to find a truly organic farm in this area, and the quality and freshness of their fruit and produce really stand out. The general store up front is amazing...they have specialty breads, nuts, and unique jams made from their own fruit that are to die for. Definitely keep an eye out for unique finds like their frozen mulberries and white peach or nectarine jams. We loved the specialty products so much that we actually went back two days later to stock up on gifts. We came for U-pick peaches and nectarines. The tree-ripened fruit was incredibly sweet and juicy with a floral aroma. We went with kids and grandparents, and everyone had an amazing time. Just 10 minutes later, while we were at the farm's playground, they sent a man on a tractor who destroyed all those tomatoes. Very, very weird. Today, October 17, 2026: We came for pomegranate and persimmon U-pick. The girl at the store asked if we could walk to the trees ourselves (another girl was driving customers there). We said we knew where the trees were since we've been regular customers for years and visited many of their U-picks. She even acknowledged recognizing us and confirmed we could walk there ourselves. In previous years, walking to the trees was always normal practice. After having a picnic at the farm, we started walking toward the trees when another girl chased after us, visibly angry. She rudely told us we weren't allowed anywhere except the playground and store. It was exactly 3 PM on Saturday (the store closes at 5 PM), yet she claimed U-pick was already closed for the day, two hours before closing. We repeatedly asked them to please let us U-pick, but were rejected every time. When we asked why they wouldn't drive us to the trees at 3 PM if the store closes at 5 PM, we were told they could close the store whenever they wanted and it was entirely up to them. The girl responsible for driving customers to the trees simply turned her back on us and stopped talking to us. When we asked to speak with a manager, we were told they didn't have any contact information for one. So we drove an hour with two young kids for this kind of experience. Dear Barbara, even though you probably care much less about this business now that you're selling the property, we'd like to remind you: You're not in the business of selling persimmons. Persimmons can be bought anywhere. When you open your doors for U-pick, you're in the business of selling experience and dealing with people - your customers. Please teach your staff to provide at least the bare minimum of customer service.4
