They climbed it, cut it in pieces swinging each piece down by rope to minimize damage to my lawn and surrounding bushes and azaleas, hand carried the pieces out, and raked and blew off the yard. Requested estimates on Yelp and received 5 with Green Leaves being the lowest. With no reviews on Yelp at the time, it was a little concerning but after communicating with Tommy, he eased those concerns. It turns out, Tommy and his crew do great work! The tree had a natural split near the bottom which was rotting so decided to have it completely removed. He arrived around 3pm and completed the work about 5 hours later. The work area was cleared of all debris and the stump ground and leveled out. His payment options include cash or credit card and once you are in agreement with the job and cost, he sends a contract for you to sign. In this case, he was actually able to start the works the next day even though the contract wasn't signed until late the previous night! Tommy was very flexible and great to work with from start to finish. I highly recommend him and his crew! Find his other reviews on Google.

I highly recommend giving them a call or email because Mike and his team are top notch!

Mike no longer comes out with the crew, so they cut down the wrong tree the last time they came. They cut down a very large, healthy tree. They tried to convince me the tree was diseased, but when Mike walked the yard to determine the work that needed to be done, he didn't identify it as diseased. Then, they tried to convince me I was mistaken about which tree needed to be removed. I don't know much about trees, but I know the difference in my front yard and my back yard. The tree they took down was in my front yard. The dead tree was in my back yard. I recently tried to get them back out to take down the dead tree. After coming home from work to meet them twice, they cancelled on me at the last minute both times. I hope they can do a better job of managing appointments and communicating amongst themselves in the future.

At the time, my husband owned a large arboretum. After Doug Ludy retired, Thay bought it and we continue to use him and his workers for the trees surrounding our home. We can't say enough good things about them. They are competent, courteous, pleasant and a joy to work with. And they respond to emergencies! When a tree was leaning precariously over our driveway after a big storm, I called their number early in the morning and they came and removed it (with difficulty) later that day. Because we live among so many tall pines, we have them come every year to walk around before hurricane season starts to identify any particularly worrisome trees. Last year, there were none although they identified several that needed watching. This year six needed to be removed: 3 large pines and 3 much smaller ones. We recommend them highly!

Prices were reasonable, a great value for what I paid. Oh, and this is the second time they have been here. Two years ago, at about this same time, we had Cardona's out to remove about the same number of trees and some limbing work. Perfection then, perfection now.
