I've been going to see Amy Wohl for almost a year, and she's been very helpful and encouraging in…read moreour sessions. First and foremost, Amy can't "fix" you. In fact, only you can fix you. But Amy can help you see that, and she can then give you guidance and the tools to fix, adjust to or change whatever it is you're going through. Amy is honest and sometimes plainspoken, but she's also compassionate. She won't sugar coat things for you, but she won't brow beat you either. From personal experience, I know that some talk therapists can fall into the trap of saying your problems are everyone's fault but your own or that they're all completely your fault, neither of which is truly helpful. One of my favorite things about working with Amy is that she is more of a motivator or coach than anything else. She's very much aware that your physical well-being is directly connected to your mental and emotional well-being, and she's always suggesting physical things--like running, biking, swimming, or even a leisurely walk--that will ultimately help your mental and emotional state. And she's always in favor of making a solid plan. "What do you want to change? What do you want to achieve? What does that look like in your life? Then how do you get to that point?" These are some of the questions Amy will ask of you, and if you're willing to do the work, she'll help guide you through the steps necessary to answer them. Another thing I like about Amy is that she doesn't suggest prescription medication as a knee-jerk reaction for treatment. Prescription medication can be and often is a necessary aspect of therapy for many, many people, and Amy has said that herself, but she also prefers to seek out a non-prescription route for treatment first. I have and will continue to suggest to anyone looking for a good talk therapist to reach out to Amy Wohl and tell her a bit about yourself.

My Life-Changing Journey with Veronica…read more I was hesitant about trying the tapping method of therapy at first. I had lost my mother, experienced deep disappointment, and was weighed down by depression. Life felt numb, and I was just letting it pass me by. After my mother passed, I couldn't grieve. I couldn't even connect with my own feelings because I had spent so much time pushing my emotions down. Working with Veronica has been the greatest gift and blessing I could have ever received. Her loving, listening ear, her deep compassion, and her relatability have created a safe space where I've been able to uncover and confront feelings I've buried for years. Veronica has a way of putting me at ease, and because of her, I've had countless breakthrough moments. For the first time, I am beginning to see myself in a light that is far kinder and more hopeful than I ever thought possible. While I'm still working through deep trauma and healing, I can say without hesitation that there is no one I would rather have guiding me on this journey. Veronica's support has been instrumental in helping me reconnect with my emotions and start living again. If you are considering working with Veronica, know that she has a rare gift for helping others find their way back to themselves. She truly cares, and her impact is nothing short of life-changing.

She never pushed anything on us, she was fair and open and loving. She is also one of those people you feel an immediate kinship with because she is a beautiful soul. My fiancé and I are spiritual but not religious, and we searched for someone who understood and respected this. Lynne was exactly this person. She incorporated special requests into the ceremony and suggested some things that were so wonderful. Finally, she left us with a complete transcript of the ceremony for us to cherish forever and a beautiful hand painted spirit rock that will be a constant reminder of this incredible day. Our ceremony was my favorite part of our entire wedding because it was filled with so much light and love thanks to Lynne. Guests came up to me afterwards to say that they had never seen such a beautiful ceremony and even those extended friends of family who hadn't known us well cried from how emotional it was. I recommend Lynne to anyone who wants a truly unique, spiritual and love-filled ceremony.

I started seeing Amy Frisch for therapy when I was a young teenager. She was my therapist for…read morealmost 10 years. During that time, I received individual and group therapy along with attending therapeutic retreats. While under her care, I would have described her as an exceptionally dedicated and competent provider. I felt heard and understood. However, here are a few things I've learned since I've stopped seeing her: Therapists are not supposed to add you as a friend on Facebook or text you socially. Therapists are not supposed to tell you that they love you. Therapists are not supposed to disclose deeply personal information or personal stories, unrelated to your treatment. Therapists, without exception, are required to have strong professional boundaries with their clients. When a therapist blurs these boundaries, the relationship stops being therapeutic. As a child, I had no expectations or awareness about the norms of therapy. I thought Amy Frisch was a unique therapist and I was lucky to be seeing someone so involved and dedicated. As an adult, I now understand that the "unique experience" I had with her as a therapist was not unique, but unprofessional, inappropriate, and a large, bright red flag. If you're the parent of a teenage girl and are looking for a therapist to help her, I would not recommend Amy Frisch. If you are a teenage girl and are looking for a therapist for yourself, I would not recommend Amy Frisch to play any role in helping your mental health.
