Kara and her team will change your life!!!! My world collided with Kara in 2011, when she first opened. I knew I couldn't go anywhere else after my visit, she gave me the perfect sun kissed look. Now I don't live in the area anymore, but I drive from Boston to see her once every other week. Her tans last about 7-10 days, depending on how well YOU maintain it. I just want to set the scene for you here. When I first walked in to Kara back in 2011, I had never airbrushed before. I was heading on vacation and wanted to get a sun kissed look on my pale bod. I was took one look at her tan and was like dang, that looks SO REAL. Basing off her own solution level and skin tone we picked the perfect solution blend for me. I walked out of there so happy and was like here comes the real test, I either just bought into some BS or was about to get the most bad ass tan. Fast forward 8 hours, I jumped in the shower, got the excess solution off, looked in the mirror and I was ecstatic at how real and amazing my tan looked. I have been going to Kara and her team ever since. I know there are 1,000 of places out there a few within minutes from my apartment in Boston, but they do not compare to Aglow. A++ service! Only my second time here and I never have to look elsewhere for a spray tan. I called this afternoon to see if I could switch my 7:15 appointment for a little earlier Kara said no problem come on in at 6:15. I arrived, checked myself in and was chatting with another customer (she had asked me if I was new and said she had been coming for about 2 years now and just raving about the salon) and now I see why! It was a busy summer Friday night everyone getting their spray tans for the weekend and events. I got called in to get my tan. The woman who conducted it was super friendly, made me feel comfortable and we chatted away as she sprayed me. I went out to pay for my services and Kara rang me out. She had over heard me talking about my bridal shower this weekend and she had remembered from my first visit about my upcoming wedding in October, so sweet. Then to my surprise she gave me a 50% discount because they had been running a few minutes behind?! Wow, I didn't even realize the delay, nor did I mind waiting because I knew an amazing spray tan was headed my way. What a nice surprise. Now that is what I call customer service. I went in for my first airbrush tan here on this past Tuesday ahead of a trip to Florida. After this long Boston winter I wasn't feeling warm weather ready at all, so thought I'd try out an airbrush tan. Upon walking into the salon I noticed instantly how cute and clean everything was kept! My appointment was with Jenn - who was so incredibly friendly and helpful! I had a million questions ranging from selecting a shade to post airbrushing skincare, etc. and she answered everything with super helpful detail!!! She even told me which products to keep off of my skin and some tips on how to care for the skin to prolong the life of the tan! Now to the tan... after letting the tan settle in during the 8 hour period my tan looked amazing! I am so happy with how incredibly natural the color looks - I don't have any signs of streaking or blotchiness. The color I have lines up exactly with how I look mid summer which is what I was looking for this trip! Three days later my color is still great! Beyond impressed! I have been testing out spray tan options for my upcoming wedding and fell upon Aglow as a suggestion from a few current customers. The experience was amazing. Kara made me feel super comfortable throughout the whole airbrushing process remaining professional and friendly. The vicinity is very clean and welcoming. I couldn't believe how awesome my tan looked immediately after being sprayed. I have had bad experiences with other vendors in which I have come out orange, streaky, and with heavily sprayed feet! I felt embarrassed and wanted to hide for the 8 hours before showering. This was NOT the case with Aglow. My tan was even, natural, and glowing as soon as I was finished being sprayed. I have been going to aglow in Bedford since February and Kara is AMAZING!! I wanted to write a new review here so the word spreads outside of the Bedford area. I live in Salem, NH and drive all the way to aglow because it's simply the best! I don't trust to go anywhere else. I am fair skinned (I mean snow white fair- for real) and have always been nervous and put off from spray tanning for fear of looking like an oompa loompa (which has happened before circa 9th grade). I was nervous during my first appt and Kara made me feel right at ease, and confident with how my tan will develop. I looked great, but felt even better. I had enough confidence to wear shorts and a tank without fear of blinding anyone around me. Also, every time I get tan I swear I look ten pounds lighter! I've been going to Aglow for over a year and everything about it is amazing! As someone who used to love to tan in the sun, I never thought I would be a fan of spray tanning but Kara has totally changed my mind. Now, I completely prefer a spray tan to natural tanning because the color is darker, more even, and I don't have to spend my time at the beach and pool working on getting color. Step into Aglow for 15 minutes or so and leave with instant tanning gratification! Kara is so nice and enthusiastic, and always remembers exactly what shade looks good on me. I have been going to Kara for my airbrush tan on a weekly basis for over a year. Week after week my tan is flawless & I LOVE it!! I have been to many salons for airbrushing, and Aglow Airbrush Tanning is by far the best. What sets this shop apart from the rest is that the space is very clean & the air is clear due to a purifying system that filters the mist immediately when it hits the air. I was nervous the first time I had a spray tan.. nervous that I would turn orange and also about being totally naked.. but Kara made me feel completely at ease. Each time ive visited I get a great tan. You can choose how dark your tan will be, its great. I'm very pale, I used to go tanning all the time but I started getting a lot of bromen capillaries and my mother got skin cancer do I stopped using tanning beds. I hate being this pale, im pretty much see though lol. I look much better with a tan, I think pretty much everyone does. I would go every week if I could afford it. Such a great experience start to finish! My first airbrush tan and I had to go completely naked because I was spraying for a bodybuilding competition. Kara made things not awkward whatsoever and a perfectly even deep tan. I had to use some bronzer on competition day because for those things you have to be disturbingly dark but I was the only person there not transferring tan onto everything I came into contact with. The best part though was that I was still perfectly tanned for about two weeks post show and even with my blonde hair and very dark tan it didn't look unnatural somehow. I LOVE my weekly visits to Aglow - Kara and her team are professional, courteous, energetic,friendly, and accommodating for appointment re-scheduling. I first found Aglow by searching yelp for recommendations. Aglow had high reviews so I picked it. The reviews of 5 stars across the board were spot on! There's nothing I love more than a great airbrush tan, and Kara manages to exceed my expectations every time! I have been going to her for about a year now, and not only is she pleasant, but her space is clean, bright, and inviting - and it's grown so much since I started going there! Completely hooked! I went last week the day before a wedding I was attending after Kara was recommended to me. I have very fair skin and don't normally tan well and she took the time to discuss shade options and my tan came out absolutely amazing. I received so many complements on my tan and no one even knew it was an airbrush! I used to tan at a local salon using the Mystic Spray tan and it would always wear off at different rates in different areas making my tan look blotchy after three days or so. I was hesitant to try a spray tan as I had remembered the awful orange, streaky ones from the booth when I was a teenager! But I had a wedding to attend and couldn't stand the idea of being so pastey! I made an appointment with Aglow and could not have been more pleased with my experience! The color was perfect!
