Wilmer and his team are incredible…read more The team was detail oriented, incredible communicators, proactive and thoughtful, and cared for our home as if it was their own. For context, they painted the interior or of our entire home - walls, trim, and ceiling. The team knew how to work with high end paint and transformed a set of drab, beige, poorly textured, and banged up walls. They sanded the walls to manage the texture, worked expertly with tricky corners, managed complex work with dry wall to address dings and structural oddities. They are not just incredible painters - they are also amazing project managers and partners. The team managed our paint job while we traveled, but our furniture and floors were kept pristine (despite our 0% prep for them). When they ran out of paint (because I insisted on getting it and didn't get enough!), they reached out. When I didn't get back to them soon enough, they went to the store and perfectly matched the color, no VOC, and other specifications. Wilmer is warm, personable, proactive, and an excellent person to have on your team as a part of the work to transform your space! His team is also wonderful, expert, and easy to be around (I know, because i hired them for a second job and this time didn't leave town). Feel free to reach out to me with questions. When they came out to inspect the issue, they said it would be no problem to fix and that the issue should not recur. It cost about $400. They never responded to me despite 3 attempts on Yelp, phone calls, and voicemails. Rent Painters: Get your act together and learn how to respond to your prior customers. With that being said, I decided to search else where. when responding to a reviewer, the professional way is to apologize to the customer and see how you can fix the issue to keep the customer coming back. Not reply with a "First of all" or "I never worked for you so you cant rate me". etc.... Just wanted to put this out there to assist the business with keeping and obtaining customers. All because of the responses provided I was no longer interested. I have to give a 1 rating for how the business handles consumer complaints

Communication with the owner was exceptional from start to finish. No long wait times, no back-and-forth delays--just clear, prompt, and professional responses that made coordination effortless. What impressed me most was their ability to perform under extremely challenging conditions. With 25-30 mph wind gusts and a three-story exterior to paint, I fully expected delays. Instead, they performed absolute magic. Their precision, attention to detail, and commitment to getting the job done safely and correctly were remarkable. This project was for one of our premier rentals in Alexandria, and the final result looks fantastic. I would absolutely use JZ Painting again for future projects and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others looking for a reliable, high-quality painting crew.
