I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

Due to financial constraints, I decided to store my things locally for now while I relocated. I'm someone who's huge on reviews (non-incentivized) and personal experiences people have with a company or product, so Einstein caught my eye. From the first conversation with the representative when I called, I knew I was in good hands. The conversation was calm, every step was explained, emails and communication was fluid thru moving day. The truck was much bigger than I was expecting as well as the ramp placement at the side of the truck vs the rear which made me nervous, but luckily we were able to make it work in my apartment complex. Sully and Kenan were friendly and understanding overall. Asked questions along the way as needed, and took some of the stress away from what typically comes with a moving day (especially when it comes to this being my first time moving things into a storage unit). I do have to note that the move may have finished sooner had one movers not been out of commission by his lunch choice longer than expected... Also, seeing the feet of my couch during the move has me a bit nervous about how they'll look when I remove my furniture from the unit. From a few feet away when I saw them on the cargo elevator and being placed into the unit, they seemed like they were angled and scratched a bit from positioning during transport. The email after my move stated that I can inform them if I notice any damages, whenever it may be, so I'll have to do a thorough check when I next access or move-out of the unit. Other than that, I would for sure use them again, possibly even for when it's time for that move-out. We not only used them for our home but after seeing their work my son scheduled them for his move in a few weeks. We have and will definitely hire them again in the future. Dwight in the front office was courteous and easy to work with, from the time of requesting a quote and booking the move. Due to scheduling I had to change the date and dwight was quick to follow up to confirm the change. they called to notifying us with there arrival time and were within minutes of that time. They were careful and respectful with all of our things and they were careful with the items and the house. Due to a complete underestimation item on my part they were able to adjust their schedule and returned the next day to help me load some items into a POD and move the remaining items. On my move date (October 27th) Justen and Michael were my movers. They were a little late but called to let me know in advance. Once they parked the truck I walked them through my apartment and showed them what I would like them to move. The time was written down and they quickly moved everything out in under 30 minutes!! They even offered to help me load some fragile items (TV, lamp...etc) into my car (by my request) because of how quick they could move things. Unloading didn't take much time at all and they placed everything exactly where I asked. Total time was 1 hour 30 mins to move 1 bed, 2 side tables, book shelve, a huge couch, ottoman, TV entertainment center and table/ chairs. The only reason I am not giving them 5/5 stars is because part of the couch was off the metal track in the back (not done on purpose). I didn't notice until my boyfriend pointed it out and we tried to fix it. The following day I called and Chris told me they can send one of the movers out to fix it. I called the following day to check up on everything and he told me that Justen (the original mover) would come out on his day off and they would pay him! Good for them! So I coordinated a time with Justen and it took him under 2 minutes to fix it. Overall I was very satisfied with the team Marvel Movers assigned me and I would for sure use them again!

Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination. When they unpacked, they were very professional and efficient. To summarize, we had a great experience moving with Phoenix Express and I would highly recommend them for anyone to move with!
