We do not eat beef and one of us does not eat any meat. We asked them if they would replace the beef dishes in the special by chicken and vegetarian items and they gladly agreed to do that. The Soupe Mashaba was definitely the better soup out of the two, with a nice savory profile compared to the chicken noodle soup-esque flavor of the Soupe Maison. The Kabuli Palaw had a huge portion of succulent lamb shank and rice. The raisins worked surprisingly well in the rice. Likewise, the Ashak was also a large portion, had three different basmati rices, and many flavors that worked well together. Easily worth the price!

It was a lot of rice for supposedly one person with meat ratio being quite a bit less. My favorite had to be the Beef, the sauce of this was really good I was just eating the sauce and rice itself. The sauce on the Lamb was really good too but there was just a lot of bone. The Chicken was a little on the saltier side but a great dish. The Pasta was not a fan favorite, the vegetable flavor was a little strong and there was a lot of it. The workers were really patient with us even though we were taking a long time to order. For dessert they have us extra so each person could have some a which was so nice of them. We ended with some complimentary tea which washed everything down.

We went a bit earlier this time and we were the only ones dining, with the exception of someone who came in for a pick-up order. The ambiance was therefore very quiet and cozy but I always think this as I love the simple brick decor and surroundings. (At the time we dined, they were still finalizing the kitchen prep and our food still came out quickly!). Everything was so good- the eggplant continues to be our favorite appetizer! This time, I got chickpeas with chicken, rice, salad, and I had a little bit to bring home for leftovers. I could've eatery the entire plate but I honestly just wanted to have some more to enjoy at home later on.
