DO NOT SUPPORT THIS THEATER--REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY! THIS BUSINESS IS BREAKING THE LAW AND NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. This theater is not just poorly run--it's dangerous and openly breaks laws. The owner discriminates against people with dietary restrictions and special needs, blatantly violating ADA regulations. Customers with medical conditions like Crohn's disease, allergies, or other dietary needs are forced to throw away or put away their safe foods, making it impossible to enjoy their experience. To make matters worse, she refuses refunds when asked and only offers useless coupons--even though most people who endure her mistreatment have no intention of returning. The reason I'm leaving this review is because of how horribly she treats customers--even after you spend $100+ on a trip with your family. If you bring a snack from outside for yourself or a disabled child, even when you're already paying for theater snacks, she makes it an issue. This is ridiculous and overstepping. As a customer, it's none of her business if we bring a specific snack for a medical or personal reason, especially when it's justified and necessary. What makes this even worse is the owner's constant claims that she's running a "small mom-and-pop business." But her behavior is anything but. She acts more like a dictator than a community-focused small business owner. By degrading and harassing customers, she's giving small businesses a bad name. This is not how a true small business should treat people. On top of that, she manipulates her business's reputation by posting fake reviews. For every negative review, several fake positive ones suddenly appear, written by obvious bots. This is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and cover up how horribly this theater is run. The theater itself feels abandoned and neglected, with stale food, unprofessional staff, and an overall uncomfortable atmosphere. It's not just a bad experience--it's downright concerning. If you've been mistreated at this theater, especially if you were forced to throw away your snacks due to special dietary needs or denied a refund, FILE A REPORT. Contact the ADA, the Better Business Bureau, the health department, and local consumer protection agencies. Consider reaching out to local news stations to bring attention to these serious issues. Cheaper movies, cinnamon seating are very outdated and they search your bags and purses before you get in the place

Awesome little theatre! Standard seats, but with banks of tables between each row which is perfect for holding all of your concessions. The people working the theatre are so nice and the sound, screen, everything was too notch. The concessions were great too, popcorn was delicious and the soda was fizzy. I have not stepped foot into a theater in a long time. So why here? If you are local and have payed attention to the news since the summer you may have seen some coverage about a film that was shot here in Agawam/West Springfield called Jack Jonah, Making Courage Contagious. I auditioned and was lucky enough to get a role in the film. Last weekend was the premier at West Springfield High School which had 1,500 people show up! Tonight (Thursday November 14th) the cinema had a showing of the film and I came. I was really impressed with the place. It really felt like a theater and not a cinema. They had figurines in the main lobby of characters in numerous movies, my favorite was E.T. dressed up in people clothing. Concession stand was filled with goodies that I cannot eat due to having Invisalign. The theater itself was nice. It looked like it seats 255 if I counted correctly before guests started arriving. Comfortable chairs, plenty of leg and arm room. Screen was a great size for viewing in the back of the room. Audio was clear. I liked watching this movie here opposed to the auditorium at the high school. I followed them on Facebook because they from time to time play old movies so it might be something to do if the right movie at the right time is playing. If you are reading this before November 16th 2019 11:00am the Jack Jonah movie is playing again and I would love to see you come to support and raise awareness for opioid usage. Unfortunately, the day we were to venture out to the cinemas was a very dreary one...but that didn't stop the fun from behind had! I'm not sure if this is something they do every holiday season but when the announcement of a pajama party-hot cocoa drinking-Christmas cookie eating showing of The Polar Express was announced, I immediately bought tickets. The cinema itself really doesn't look like much on the outside, blends in with the strip it's located in. The inside however was pretty cool. Figurines and life size characters from various movies..Deadpool, Gremlins, old time movie reels, I liked it. There's two theatres, bathrooms, and a small concession stand. Obviously not a huge place, but it felt inviting and the staff during the event were all very nice. The seating for the movie was pretty good. Standard movie seats, armrests don't come up though, if you're one of those people who look for that. There's a long table like structure in front of the seats too so that's nice. You're able to put your drinks and snacks up there. Honestly--the only reason my review is 4 and not 5 stars is that the theatre inside while watching the movie was SO hot. Maybe it was because I was in warm cozy pajamas or the fact it was packed...but even then, I shouldn't have been sweating in my seat like I was. Would I go back? I wouldn't necessarily make this cinema my new go to but yeah sure if they're having another event! read more

Mixed on this place. I love that it's a throwback to a small theatre and the prices are cheaper. However, I do not like their bag search policy. I hadn't anything in my bag, but it's ridiculous that my daughter and I were one of 4 people in the movie that day and I had just bought $19 worth of food at the concession stand, and they *still* felt a need to check my bag. Tickets were $13 for us (matinee prices do not apply on weekends) so I spent $32 for 2 hours there. The policy to check bags is to keep the prices low they say, but hello?? Don't you see my arms are full with stuff I just bought at your concession stand? Honestly, the cost wasn't much lower than a large cinema and I would have preferred to go to big cinema and pay the extra bucks. I would still save more but would also have healthier choices to bring my own food. Sorry, I want to support a local theatre, but not if they can't tell that I've bought plenty of concession stand food (carrying popcorn, drinks, and candy wasn't enough I guess!). I would pay a little more to not be treated like a teen criminal. PS: I went to the enfield cinemas recently on the weekend, and paid $16 for a matinee movie at matinee prices for me and my daughter. Not much of a price difference to this cinema. I still paid for popcorn and drinks (bc a movie isn't a movie without them right?). BUT I was able to bring a more healthy sandwich in my bag for my daughter for lunch and saved a little money by having her use her water bottle. And I wasn't treated like a criminal. read more

The best family friendly cinema with hip events and happenings! Excellent venue, reasonably priced, and always the most fun, enjoyable time! The often have retro film showings to take you back to the good old days. Owner and staff are amazing, passionate and caring. Come here and you'll never go to another theatre again! read more

Nice local feeling. We are on vacation and its was storming. We decided to go to the movies and was a little apprehensive being it wasn't a chain. Much to our surprise we enjoyed ourself. Popcorn was fresh, clean theatre. Price was good for the movie, but concession were a bit much since they didn't offer refills my only reason for 4 stars. read more

Hello, all: theater is unique. that's what makes it a okay place to go. after all it is a movie house (not a restaurant). If I need special foods made and served special nice - a restaurant is where to go. - however, when I like to go out for a time and relax or see a show or with people - this is place is fine. doesn't often have the type of show i'd like to see; perhaps the audiences that are most frequent movie goers are asking for select movies I am not particularly interested in. Being that I seldom/not often get to the theatre, etc. how many movies offered for those over 40 or 50 age - are selected in a given year? appreciation of what you do there; and offering the opportunity to give a review here. Small theater with small staff. Cheap movie date option. I like taking my 6 year old here for our date nights because you skip the crazy crowds and prices. Food isn't all that but I'll take a peaceful movie night. Movie theater seats have tables in front to make easy to eat with messy kids though. read more

Absolutely beautiful renovations and very clean. Loved the fresh popcorn. Congrats on your new business The only 3 things that bothered me were; Having my handbag searched. There was a woman on the left of the line and a guy on the right...really? Every Woman that bought a ticket had a search?? I felt like I was going through an airport check. Also, it was uncomfortably freezing cold (Jan) in there, I wished I brought a blanket. Nobody that I could see in the place removed their coats. And lastly, the sound was extremely loud. If compared to Rave in West Spfld, or Enfield, we're going to Rave on our next movie date. Good luck! read more

I always have nuts or crackers in my purse in the case that I'm stuck somewhere or having a late day at work and my blood sugar drops. I gave this business money, they checked my bag, confiscated my crackers and admonished me. It was absolutely embarrassing. Where is common sense and customer service? The crackers were at the bottom of my purse and honestly looked like they'd been in there for a month, but it didn't matter and they took them. After, I paid them for the privilege of having my crackers stolen. I'm not sure why they are fighting this battle. Either they are going to have clients that just get better at hiding snacks (will they soon start body searches?) or make people so angry at the pettiness that they won't be back. Either way, it doesn't help their business model. I gave them money and they treated me horribly. The theater was okay. They have tables in front of you (like Cinemark does so they aren't unique in that and Cinemark has loungers too). They forgot to turn off the lights before the movie started so an audience member had to tell them and it still took about 5 minutes before they figured out how to turn off the lights. The staff was probably too busy eating the confiscated snacks or power-tripping on bag searches to get on the lights right away. All in all, it would have been a 3 star experience if it weren't for the bag searching. I was completely appalled! I was told that I could get back my old-ass crackers at the end of the movie, but I'm not going to deal with anyone else in that theater after the admonishment I'd received. . . I was treated like a criminal instead of a person who was spending money in their establishment and didn't know they were going to go crazy going through my purse. Of course, I wasn't acting maliciously and didn't even think about my crackers when I entered the theater. I planned on going to the concession stand but after the embarrassing fiasco with a package of old crackers, I wasn't going to give them another dime. I will happily go anywhere else and I go to the movies about once a week, so if my first visit would have been a pleasant one they would have had a lifelong customer. Again, I was giving them money and they acted like I was a thief!! I like supporting local business, but I can not support this one due to maniacal pettiness on the owner's part. Ticket prices are reasonable, but concession prices are exorbitant. $8.50 for jumbo popcorn and $5.75 for large drink. We spent 26 on tickets (2adults/2 kids) and 20.25 at the concession stand. The kid taking tickets said he needed to look in my purse. Ive NEVER had this happen. I did have 2 snacks in my bag which were confiscated. After spending 20.25 for popcorn soda and a slushy, i was humilated and upset. The eastfield mall cinemas does refills on their popcorn and soda, which is cheaper, and provides u bags for sharing. I asked the guy at the concession stand, after buying an 8.50 jumbo popcorn for sharing, if they had anything like that, they do not, only tiny Styrofoam cups that he said hed charge me .50 each for. Jus cause their local does t mean they re not crooks. Cinema was clean and trays on front of seat were a nice touch, but i wont be back. read more

DON'T GO TO THIS THEATER. Like two unhappy customers in the recent past who posted here, I too, after spending FIFTY DOLLARS, was treated rudely and was demanded that my bags be searched. I had brought a yogurt and a Vitamin Water because, when there are only bad "choices" available, paying customers should have the option to bring a healthy snack. As long as we do purchase things at the concession, then, WHERE IS THE HARM? I stated as such (don't customers have the RIGHT to voice dissatisfaction anymore?) was as rudely told we weren't going to see the movie. I have seen many movies (AMC theater, etc.) and have NEVER been treated this way. It takes an extraordinarily miserable and petty person to make a huge issue when the customer already bought things there. The owners think they are saving money, but what they are doing is hurting their own business (and they will deserve it). My twins and I had ARMFULS of candy from the concession stand. Not to mention, my kids are both 12 and they charged them $7 as adults (but I let that go, because, unlike the cashier-on-a-power-trip, I AM NOT PETTY. It wasn't worth the couple bucks, so I let that one go.). My daughter, who has autism, became escalated because she had been looking forward to seeing "Wonder." She was crying and upset. Of course, there was ZERO COMPASSION. The cashier was over-the-top smug and seemed to enjoy not allowing us see the movie. I asked for the owner because, as a paying customer, I don't appreciate being treated like that, especially in front of my kids. The owner came out and was completely unaccommodating, treating my daughter like a criminal because she was upset, even asking a bystander to record her. I tried to explain my daughter's condition (high-functioning autism) to her and that the situation had caused her to be escalated. Owner was judgmental, making comments like "Aren't you her MOTHER?" Most people by now know that, with some kids, it's not as quick and simple as the snap of a finger. Owner even stooped so low as to LIE and claim that my daughter HIT her. Two witnesses could verify that my daughter never touched her. But this miserable P.O.S. needed an excuse to call the police, so she lied. After claiming she would "make it right" she did the opposite, saying "I'm calling the police and the ambulance." (Ambulance? Really? Totally unnecessary). Is this the new trend where, if someone doesn't like a customer's opinion/dissatisfaction, they'd rather call the police than provide customer service? This is a SMALL movie theater, run by SMALL-MINDED people. It is only a matter of time before, they too, are out of business. The saddest part of this whole incident is that it didn't need to happen. A little customer service and reason-ability would have prevented the whole thing. I am confident the miserable cashier will get "her" Karma one day. read more
