I've used over the counter sprays etc over the year but could never rid of the smell for more than a couple days. If you have this problem you know how annoying it is to not enjoy your own backyard during these awesome Arizona fall and winter days. We have a toddler so this is especially critical as we are out there daily. Randy, the owner, gave me my quote over the phone and walked me through their process. It sounded good to they locked me in for a Saturday appointment. Oswaldo was the man who showed up that day and walked me again through the whole process. He measures out the yard, explains what he's going to do, and then he's off to work. We have a little under 400 sq ft of turf in the back yard. Oswaldo first blows almost the entire back yard with a blower, he then rakes up everything into a trash bag. After that, he uses a power broom to brush up all the stuff embedded in the turf and help stand it up. Once he has that done, he drops a fill product from a fertilizer spreader on the whole turf. He then puts down a good watering over that, and then he uses their proprietary spray over that. He not only sprayed our turf but does about an extra 3 foot ring around the turf as well. When I told him the dog specifically did his #2 in a section of the rocks, he said no problem and sprayed that down too! Oswaldo was super nice, very informative and did my entire yard in like an hour and a half. It's been a few days, the yard still smells great and Oswaldo said with our dog size and their product I should be good with just occasionally spraying it down with water for probably a couple months. The previous owner had it done this way for the purpose of keeping it cheap and keeping it low maintenance during the years he lived here. Over the last few years after I purchased it, I got 3 quotes from 3 different companies to do a section of turf. I never committed to a company to do it because I didn't feel confident they could deliver what I wanted. Fast forward to two weeks, I met with Sean from Turf Monsters. After hearing my vision for the yard, he was quick about getting me their quote on the same day. Not only that, but he had an extensive knowledge of the kinds of turf they had that would fit my yard best, the process of whole installation, how to maintain it, etc. It wasn't a hard choice; I chose them to do my turf project feeling confident they would handle the job well. And did they ever! At my request, they managed to get my installation scheduled earlier than originally planned. Materials were dropped off and installers showed up as scheduled on the day they began. Every single encounter during the installation was professional and friendly. It took less than the original two-day quote for the 25'x30' area, the three man installation team finishing in only one day. And it turned out better than I had imagined it to! The bright green turf looks stunning with the original rock landscape against it. And the dogs are beyond happy with it, running around and wrestling on it, but also relaxing on it too as it doesn't get super hot in the sun. From the initial installation, there were highly visible seams running through the center of my lawn. They were noticeable immediately after installation and were not something that developed over time. The original project manager acknowledged that the seams were unacceptable, but throughout the project he rarely monitored the work being performed and was often unresponsive for weeks at a time. He sent crews out twice to address the seams, but after both visits they looked essentially the same. Before the issue was resolved, he left the company. The Director of Sales then became involved. Unlike my previous experience, he was responsive, came to my property, agreed the seams still looked unacceptable, and sent another crew out. The edging and finishing details were eventually completed, but despite multiple repair attempts by several crews, the prominent seams remain. The most frustrating part of this experience has been being told this is now considered a warranty issue, even though the seams were present from the day the turf was installed. In my view, this is an installation quality issue that was never fully corrected. This is not my first artificial turf installation. I've had turf installed at another home, and the seams were virtually invisible from normal viewing distances. That experience showed me what a professional installation should look like, and unfortunately this one falls well short of that standard. I appreciate that the Director of Sales made an effort to address my concerns, but after multiple repair attempts the end result is still not what I paid for. Since the service was in my home versus work my expectations were much higher and they delivered! I think it's important to say that no matter how good the carpet vendors, they can't work miracles so if you are expecting someone to rehab severely pet damaged carpet or heavy stains due to fabric paint that your teen daughter got all over them you have to be realistic. Aaron and Jonny actually removed way more of the aforementioned carpet paint than I was expecting. These guys are the best for sure.
