It's embedded within a 55+ living community so it is quiet and very peaceful. We went on a Monday, and they had a BOGO special going on, so I got to join my boyfriend for free! The course was well maintained, but it is a NARROW course with houses lining each side so it's some pressure to execute some NICE swings. There are little arrows pointing you to the next holes as you do have to drive in the community a title bit, but the houses were so sweet that I didn't mind. Lots of hills and water hazards to make the course fun! We can't wait to come again.

Greens were in excellent shape, the fairways were nice and firm and balls were not difficult to find. The staff was super accommodating and friendly, even bringing out waters and gatorades from the club house on a really hot June day. The views were amazing and almost distracting at times. Have a 6:45am teetime, but can not use the practice facility to warm up because they won't be done mowing until after 7am. Inside the proshop asked about these and Kenny had about the worst attitude I've ever seen. Basically told me that if I don't like it, don't play. To make it "right" they give you a $20 credit, not apply to the cost of golf but towards a purchase. Bright side is that Scott was very helpful and engaging. Jeremy Hayman(GM), you have to do a much better job with course management, staff management, and customer service. I've essentially wasted a 3 day golf trip on a poorly maintain and managed course that's currently only slightly better than a muni course. My recommendation it to avoid Sedona Golf Resort until these issues are fixed, and instead play Oak Creek County Club, which is only a mile away and in amazing condition.

The greens used to be primo--they were the signature of the course and among the best in Northern Arizona. Today they're slow, bumpy, inconsistent, and too often make good putts bounce offline. They often appear to be mowed only every two to three days, are rarely verticut, almost never rolled, and simply don't receive the attention that quality greens require. Cup and pin placement has become another major problem. Too many pins are cut on severe side slopes or in locations that make little sense from a golf course setup standpoint. They've got teenagers setting the cup locations, and it shows in the consistently poor pin placements. Old cup locations are frequently left raised or sunken by as much as a half inch, showing a lack of supervision and attention to detail. The practice putting green doesn't even resemble the speed or quality of the North Course greens. Players warm up for one set of conditions and then face something completely different once they get on the course. One of the most frustrating examples of the lack of attention was when a mower leaked hydraulic fluid across every green on the North Course, leaving visible dead trails. A mistake can happen to anyone, but continuing to mow every green after the leak started showed a lack of oversight and turned a small problem into a course-wide one. Many of the tee boxes are burned up and in terrible condition. They simply need routine spot watering and attention, yet they're allowed to continue deteriorating. It sends the message that course conditioning is no longer a priority. The frustrating part is that this isn't because Northern Arizona is too difficult to maintain. The other courses in the area have outstanding conditions and excellent superintendents, proving that exceptional turf is absolutely achievable in this climate. There simply isn't a good excuse for Antelope Hills falling this far behind. I've been a loyal customer for over 40 years because I care about this course. That's why this is so frustrating. Antelope Hills has two outstanding layouts and tremendous potential, but in my opinion the greens now rank among the worst in Northern Arizona. The golfers who have supported this course for decades deserve better. Management needs to make course conditioning a priority again. Restore the greens to the standard they once had, repair the tee boxes, pay attention to the details, and make Antelope Hills a course the community can once again be proud of.

The employee said they were aware of that and that we could buy water. After nine holes, we noticed six golf carts behind us. We asked them if some of them wanted to play through and they said no that there was actually 12 people in their group. While on hole number 10 we were approached and asked if we would let four of them play through in between each one of our players in our group of four, how does this happen? They must've gotten three tee times together and then all moved up together since part of them had their own carts someone must've thought it was proper. When we complained about no refreshments on the course, we were told that they only had refreshments on the weekends, this was a holiday weekend. One of our players owns a house. Next to the golf course and has played there frequently on weekends and has never seen a refreshment cart in the last four years. You would think for $100 per person to play that somewhere on the course they could have water containers, ball cleaners, and provide a friendly atmosphere. The employee I spoke with actually thought it was funny when I said the only water on the course available to players was in the toilet. Rumor has it they're trying to sell the course that's why they're trying to maintain it in a quality condition. Maybe the next owner will care about the players and the people that spend money there. Last, but not least they make no allowances for handicap golfers. As a golfer with breathing/walking difficulties they make no allowance and won't allow carts closer than 35 yards to the greens. The Geo fencing beeper in the cart gets really annoying to everyone. I paid for 18 holes and was only able to complete 10 because of the heat, lack of cold water and their requirements. While the one employee liked my handicap flag attached to the cart. It's acceptable by all other golf courses I've played on. He said "it doesn't make any difference".
