Sitting down, watching my dogs and enjoying the amazing views

Most beautiful dog park I have ever been to. They also have a fenced area for the dogs to feel like they are hiking in nature with you. Very big area.

Great dog park! There are 3 different areas to have your dog wander around in. There is a main area, an older/smaller dog one, and a hill one. There are plenty of spare tennis balls around to throw if you forget your own. Lots of space for your dog to run. I'm not sure if they turn off the water in the winter/freezing temperatures since we couldn't turn any of the spouts on (so just keep that in mind and/or bring your own water). This dog park has the added bonus of having an incredible view. There are a few 1 hour parking spaces, but they are limited, so either come early or try your luck.

Beautiful park!! If your in the area and looking for a place to take your dog too, look no further and make your way here. We walked one of the few trails that are available and the view is beautiful and relaxing! Everyone is friendly for the most part. People usually greet or wave to you here but I think it's just a Sedona thing. People are friendly.

This park was so much fun!! We had it to ourself and between the snowy views and our happy dog running around we almost forgot we were in the middle of Sedona- not somewhere on a trail miles out of town.

Most beautiful dog park i've ever been to! View is so pretty and as a bonus, the other dog owners were very considerate and friendly. Would for sure come again.

Must visit when you're in Sedona with your pups. It had a back gate takes you and puppy's to a gated hill area with nice red Mountain views. And a few tables and chairs to sit down while your pups are playing and having their time with other pups. I love this dog park.

BEST DOG PARK. EVER!!! And honestly, I am not a fan of dog parks, at all!! However, this is one place I would gladly take my dog to again!! My dog and I stopped here while in Sedona. It was a really hot day and I wanted a place where he could run around and relax. We found this dog park and went. It was a weekday, and because of the hot weather, we were the only ones at the dog park. This dog park is large and they separate the large and small dogs. The dog park itself has a huge area for dogs to run around. Something I have never seen at a dog park before was a enclosed "wilderness" area for dogs!! Once you enter the dog park, there is another enclosed area to hike and explore!! I LOVE this as my dog can hike off leash in a safe enclosed environment without fear of him getting lost or being attacked by wild animals!! Once inside that area, you would never know that it was enclosed! It was large and the scenery was beautiful with lots of rocks for my dog to climb on and trees to explore! We hiked around for a bit, but it being a hot day, I did not want either of us in the sun for too long. My dog couldn't get enough however. Back at the "dog park" side. I had noticed that people left kiddie pools for the dogs!! One in the large and another in the small dog park area. There was also a water hose to fill up the kiddie pool. This was like heaven and complete paradise for my dog!! People also left some dog toys and balls laying around. I filled up the pool and my dog splashed around and was having the time of his life. This was awesome because he could run around, chase the ball, and when he got hot, he went and laid down in the pool to cool off. We were there for hours and my dog still wasn't ready to leave. Another thing that makes this dog park amazing are the views!! The views are AMAZING!!! You can see all the cathedral rocks in the background. The only thing that could make this dog park more amazing would be if there was an actual doggie pool! This park was also super clean!! I did not find any random dog poop or trash thrown around. Coming from someone who in all honestly hates dog parks, I absolutely LOVED this dog park. I am definitely planning on going back to Sedona as one day was not enough in this amazing city. When I come back, you can bet I will be here with my dog!!

A super cool place ! Happy paws ...nature walks / paths for the dogs & awesome views for their best friends !

We love this spot !!! The pups surely played a big part in the voting scheme. They ran around like crazily happy pooches...peed everywhere and sniffed everything on their paths -- a large playground with extensions / connecting to other paths (natural & enclosed). For us, it offers a great view of the red-rock country...it's very nice & well-kept. We are just visiting for a few days, but this place inspired us...Well designed and focus on these happy pooches - made us smile :). Thanks Sedona community to offer this to the community -- We appreciated it!

What a beautiful place to hang with your dog. There are three areas to visit: small/older dogs, big dogs, and a hiking area. There's a pool for cooling off in both small and big dog sides and plenty of bowls with hoses to fill everything. The poop is kept up with for the most part with very few who "just didn't see it." There are benches attached to tables as well as plastic single person chairs to move around. The fake grass is limited to a small area in the front. Do I need to even mention the amazing view? It cools down nicely in the early evening. I always meet the nicest people there.

Relaxing under the bench in the big dog side.

The wilderness area was great! Alley forgot she was at a dog park and got lost in chasing birds and lizards. Yes, that little area is a bit small and it would be awesome if the city expanded the area but at least it looked like a natural area. Alley pup only wants the real deal. I think a little more shade in the wilderness area would be nice but hey this is the first park in any state that Alley hasn't gone running out of in less than 15 minutes. The park was clean. Maybe volunteers had been in or we came after city clean up day.

We took the whole crew to Slide Rock State Park, and this one surprised a few people. On paper, it…read moresounds simple. A creek, some rocks, a natural "slide." In reality, it's a full-on experience. First thing you notice is the setting. You're tucked into Oak Creek Canyon with red rock walls rising up around you, water cutting through it like it's been doing forever. It's one of those places where the scenery alone would be enough. But then you add the water. And that water is cold. Not refreshing. Not brisk. Cold. The kind that hits you and resets your entire nervous system. Once you get past that initial shock, though, it's perfect, especially with the Arizona heat doing its thing overhead. The main attraction is the natural rock slide, which is exactly what it sounds like. Smooth, worn stone with water rushing over it, turning the whole thing into a fast-moving chute. Kids loved it. Adults pretended to be cautious and then went right down anyway. It's controlled chaos in the best way. People laughing, slipping, climbing back up to do it again. We had a bigger group, so we claimed a stretch of rock and sort of set up camp for a few hours. There's enough space to spread out if you're willing to walk a bit. Towels on the rocks, bags tucked away, everyone rotating between the water and just sitting back taking it all in. It does get busy. No way around that. This isn't some hidden, quiet spot. But it never felt overwhelming, just lively. There's an energy to it that works. Families, groups of friends, everyone there for the same reason, to cool off and have a good time. A couple practical things. Wear shoes with some grip. Those rocks are no joke. And keep an eye on your footing, especially with kids. It's fun, but it demands a little respect. What stuck with me is how simple it is. No overthinking, no production. Just water, rock, and gravity doing what they do. You show up, you get in, you laugh a little, maybe get knocked around once or twice, and you leave feeling like you actually did something with your day. If you're anywhere near Sedona and it's warm out, this is an easy call. It's not polished, it's not quiet, and that's exactly why it works.

That's the time when most people enjoy the water and spend more time within the park. I guess it's a good place to take a family as the walk is easy and you can do a picnic here. We were here for less than an hour as I didn't find much to do. We walked the short Clifftop Nature Trail, which had signs for the different plants. Then we went down to the Slide Rock Swim Area. It was a nice view, but there are nice views all around Sedona that comes with a lower price tag.

Especially disappointing that if the person who is there before is rude and inconsiderate of others and hangs out there for longer than what would be a considerable amount of time and won't allow anyone else to use it. Also there should be bigger signs and available acknowledgements before entering the area so you don't get screamed at by dog owners who obviously haven't trained their dogs or themselves to behave
