I STILL would NOT RECOMMEND AGATE. When I gave my first review yesterday, it was negative, and that still stands. After reading other passenger reviews, I wish there was an option to "AGREE" and respond with like comments. They have left me stranded, both travelling to and from medical appointments. Once for 2 hours in the evening, just a couple of weeks ago. It's maddening. You are fortunate to have a driver that speaks English. The driver yesterday who perhaps was the initial driver who stranded me, and then returned to collect me decided to travel up an Avenue in Manhattan that is well known to be slow and a lot of traffic---plus she travelled uptown on the WEST side, when I needed to go to the EAST side. Either she was doing this intentionally, or did not know how to navigate the streets and traffic in Manhattan. Initially, she blamed something or other on traffic. I'm thinking, oh, is that why the initial driver simply deserted me at 8:00 am? I am still angry about this and am, as I type, searching for a RELIABLE medical service. LOL, I could NOT believe it when Agate appeared on the list. Advice to others: Please do your research. Look at reviews of others, not only those on the company's web-site. I've had good experiences with the drivers. The company needs to update their system, or give the drivers the correct address including city and zip code. I've had 2 drivers put me down as a no show, when they arrived at the wrong pick up address. I've given them directions and they didn't follow, they both left and caused me to miss 2 doctor's appointments. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and I'm still waiting for a call back. Called MAS and supervisor said that they put no-shows, MAS supervisor indicated that a passenger is not picked up time and still waiting please put trip back to the regular system. however, a person on the phone said "I can't do that" we put 3 ways calls (*that's a good idea) and MAS supervisor kept telling him multiple times. however, we were told that "I can't do that" before MAS supervisor asked to speak with agape supervisor, agape operator hanged up on the phone. When we called. We were told that system is down. When we called again, trip is canceled. *WE DIDNT. We found out that they put NO-Show. Please call MAS to find out throughout MAS SUPERVISOR. A frontline representative does not possess the authority to override a confirmed reservation without the client's explicit consent. His behavior constitutes a material failure in your organization's duty of care. I expect this matter to be escalated, investigated, and formally resolved without delay. Medical Answering Services has heard my complaint and has resolved the matter to satisfaction. I informed him that the assigned driver does not speak English, creating a serious safety and communication risk. Although Johan offered telephone translation assistance, I expressed valid concern about ongoing interaction once inside the vehicle--particularly if the driver became lost or an emergency arose. Without direct English communication, I would feel unsafe and unable to provide or receive clear instructions. I had an appointment today 11/10 and missed it because Agape did not pick me up and I missed my appointment which was confirmed yesterday. In addition an hour later the driver was calling to pick me up an hour after my scheduled pick up time and when I called I was on hold for 40 minutes and no one answer my call. Very unprofessional and not even an apology or call from Agape they dont have a system to provide assistance when the client has an issue with a trip an issue caused by Agape in the first place. Agape used to be excellent, but recently, they pick up late, never answer their phones, and did not pick you up for your return home. For the past few months, they have picked up my son over an hour late from the pickup time for his doctor's appointment. Furthermore, their new updated app that you used to let them know you are ready to return ride home, states searching for a car for over 1 hour. When you try call Agape, they never pick up. To make it worst, I had to take an Uber home after waiting for over a 1 hour with no located car or getting through to them via phone. My father is in wheelchair and I have to get him ready and put him in wheelchair to take him downstairs because they live on second floor. I have to do that by myself. Our driver was bad. The car smells really bad. Really really bad. The driver of the gray Honda T726856C got lost getting to the pick up location and got lost going to the drop off location. He forgot to make the turn to drop us off at the front of the house. Instead he went down the driveway and dropped us off at the back of the house. Three they are number one Cab Service they help people that are not well. They're very respectful. They give you a good conversation and they get you safe from where you're coming from and where you're going. I've been taking a Cab Service for a while to me. They're the best they don't make you wait that long They get to you as fast as possible but the most important thing is they get you home safe and they get you to your destination safe customer service it's not that bad. This company has no regard for their customers or drivers. The automated phone system has you waiting to confirm a trip from anywhere from 17minutes to 25 minutes and then dealing with rude unprofessional service reps. I have tried this company twice and each time very disappointed. Case in point I'm a wheelchair user with limited ambulatory movement I have to constantly tell their dispatcher that I need a SUV for leg room and to carry the wheelchair instead Agape sends me small Tesla cars or other small compact vehicles. In addition their drivers don't speak much English which I try and overlook but at some point you have to communicate. When your ready to go home all you have to do is text back the word "RETURN". It used to be a great agency. It's just awful now. They have been "updating" the system since this spring to "better serve passengers". It's even worse than before. They don't have enough agents to answer calls. The wait time, on a good day is 35min average. If you choose to leave your phone number for a call back - it never comes. The estimated wait time is never accurate. 6 announced minutes are never less than 30 min. It' such a shame that such an agency acutely doesn't have enough staff. With so much business they get from MAS, Medicaid transport, they should have employed more staff so that your wait time is never longer than 5-10 min. No matter how much you complain, things don't change. It can easily happen that a driver doesn't come to pick you up at the agreed time. We, the disabled people then wait at the meeting point and try to speak with an agent but the wait time could go even up to 40-50min. Completely unacceptable. They claim their automated system has improved. First, the automated ride confirmation call arrives seldom. Then you call to confirm it. Unlike before, there is no more option "1" which serves the purpose of simply confirming the trip once you hear your itinerary and the address. This is more than stupid that they have eliminated this option. Now you are forced to wait to speak with n agent again, at least 35 min. If you chose the option "2" to change the time or confirm the ride, to your surprise you can only do it waiting for the agent and again for about 35min. Now, they provide a link through a message to confirm if you are ready for any of your trips be it the 1st or the 2nd. But if you have 3 trips as is my case today, you can't do it because the link to their website shows only 2 rides. Meaning you again have to call the agent to inform that you are ready doe your trip. My ride that was scheduled through Medicaid website for a certain time doesn't matter. what matters is what the link to Agape's website says. My Medicaid scheduled trip was scheduled for 12:15 PM and the car didn't arrive. I cannot confirm it through Agape's link saying "I am ready" because the trip is not listed because it's my 3rd (connected) trip in the same day and then link to their website accommodates only 2 trips. So, I am now on the call waiting for since 12:10 PM to check if my ride will come at 12:15 as scheduled through MEdicaid website, and now it is 12:45PM. This means that I have been waiting on the line for 35 min now. Actually, I called even at 12:05 PM but the call dropped. Don't use Agape if you are disabled!!!! This was my first time dealing with Agape transportation, and it will be my last. My pickup time was to be 1:30, at 1:29 I received a text, "The driver is 29 mins away." I text back my pickup time is 1:30, not 2:00. Five mins later I received another text, "your driver is 49 Mins away." In the middle of me calling the company, the driver called me, and he was crossing the 59thst bridge. That route would have set him back another 25 mins. The trip would have taken an hour & 10 mins. In good traffic. The driver started complaining to me about my pickup area and how nobody wants to come out here because of the distance. For heaven's sake, it's the Rockaways queens. He kept ranting and complaining, I said OK let me hang up so you can concentrate on getting here. I called my appointment place, to see if they could wait. They only could hold my appt time for an extra 20 mins. I realized that the driver wasn't going to get me to my appointment even with the extra time the Dr. gave me. This DR's office is booking into April now, by the grace of God they got me in for late next week. The driver pulls up at 2:35. When he called for me to come out, I told him my appointment was canceled, and I was pissed about that. This was a time-sensitive extremely important appointment. The driver started ranting again, about wasting his gas and time coming out here for nothing. He stated, "this is the reason nobody likes to come out to Rockaway because there's always an issue." I ask "Why is it because the drivers are always late?" "Complain to your dispatcher." He wanted to go on ranting, I hung up. The driver was unprofessional by complaining to me about his gas and time. I really don't care about his wasted gas, what about my wasted time. I called his company and filed a complaint. When I call for transport to my doctor I each time express my request for low car since I am petite in size and limited mobility to get in a high car. yesterday they send a SUV and the driver did not have a step ladder or any type of step to elevate from the side walk. It was extremely painful to get in the car and the same getting off. The trips I request is for weekly doctor/ dentist visits and no one pays attention to my request. They want us to call several days in advance but still refuse to respect my request for LOW CAR easier to get in . yesterday for the return we got a low car and the driver was OK and we had a ride home in good time. The car on the other hand had damages from a crush or any accidents and the sits lost their suspensions which made it uncomfortable over the roads with uneven surfaces. the worst transportation company ever. If I could give 0 stars I would. I recently started using agape medical transportation for my 3 year old who is autistic. FYI as a Medicaid transportation company, you are completely unaware of the condition of the "patient" you're transporting, HENCE WHY they allow up to 2-3 hours, yes HOURS for the driver to be released (it literally shows you on the trips link once the driver arrives at the location). I say that to say, sometimes arriving early isn't always convenient. MAS only allows pick up time 45 minutes prior to the scheduled time (i.e if your appt is at 10am, the earliest you can be picked up is 9:15am). These drivers, from my experience, call before 9am sometimes and I'm a struggling mother with multiple children who lives on a third floor family home. So far, drivers have had attitudes for having to wait despite the wait time I explained above, (they even come late some too and still are inpatient, I once had a driver sit outside thinking his horn rather than calling to say he'd arrived) literally had a driver move his vehicle before I could get my belongings completely out while my autistic son was standing beside me (he is small so he was the height of the jeeps wheel) which was extremely dangerous, I've had drivers watch me struggle with an autistic 3 year old with bags and an infant strapped on to my chest with no offer to help, I've recently even had a driver quite literally curse at me when I asked him to wait and he eventually told me to shutup when I was explaining the wait times to him. AGAPE HAS RIDICULOUS HOLD TIMES AS WELL, YOU CAN NEVER EVER CALL AND GET IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE AND SOMETIMES AFTER HOLDING FOR HALF AN HOUR IT JUST HANGS UP - THEY EVEN ADDRESS THIS IN THEIR MESSAGE WHILE WAITING ON HOLD. AGAPE TRANSPORTATION IS A HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THEIR DRIVERS ARE ABSOLUTELY DISRESPECTFUL. I have proof of everything I said between reports made several times, both to insurance and the company itself. Agape was given a trip with pickup for 6:15am. At 6:30am a driver calls me going off in a tirade of Spanish. With my limited sentences of Spanish, I asked him if he spoke English; he replied no. They were sending me a driver who spoke only Spanish. I called company, lady that took call stated she would send another driver. My appt was for 8:30am and after calling numerous times, last call to them 7:45am they did not have a driver. I cancelled the ride. They were unreliable and could not accommodate the trip. I would not recommend Agape because of their unreliability. They need to touch base with their clients, when they are unable to fulfill an agreement. Had confirmation and all I never got to my appointment the young ladies that answer for them are not polite at all professionalism goes out window. I can't complain about drivers they are excellent. I have used this service for the past 3 years and was very satisfied all the way around (pickup and dropoff plus pleasant drivers) until today. Both trips I was subjected to an ongoing phone conversation while the drivers were driving. First off lots of times they are driving ill persons who don't wish to listen to their entire conversation. For me it was quite irritating, not to mention it just might break their focus on the road. Both trips were over 1 hour, so I think management should let their drivers know do not hold lengthly conversations on the phone that are not work related. Hopefully the next time I ride for MEDICAL REASONS, I will again be pleased with the service I receive. read more

As a rider with Agape for the past 5 years, I was very satisfied, however Agape is lacking drivers to easily transport clients to the medical appts, or for pickup. On 2/27/23 I had an appointment; my pickup time was 8:00 am, I was pickup at 8:40, for a appointment at 9:00 am, and to top it all of, after my appt, I text return and call and no one pick up the phone, living me stranded at the office, and me without money to take a cab or bus for that matter. This is not the first time that this issue happens to me and other riders, Agape needs a new management or owner. Today I call to complaint on 2/ 28/23 and the rep, hang up the phone on me.
