The Oasis office staff interviewed us to find out our needs and to match caregiver personalities with my mother's. We immediately felt we could trust them. At first, there were two who weren't good matches, but within about two weeks, Oasis had set us up with three absolutely fantastic caregivers. They are kind, hard-working women, and enjoyable to be around, which is very important since they spend a lot of time with my mother. They help her with tasks around the house and are nearby to be sure she is safe as she goes about her activities. The day caregiver drives her to the grocery store, hair and nail salons, and various other appointments. They also help with baking, watch TV with her in the evening, and have interesting conversations. Overall, they have given her independence and have given the family peace of mind that someone is with her to look out for her health and safety.

I had the privilege of facilitating his escape. I consider myself a savvy consumer and always call at least three places. Luckily, Synergy was one of the three that I happened upon. Larry, who is the hands on owner, answered my call, my questions, and was at the said facility the very next day to meet with the family and a hospice organization. Larry was able to have a caregiver at my neighbors home within 24 hours and then proceeded to set up round the clock care for this lovely couple. One of the things that differentiates Synergy Home Care from the others is that they were able to provide different levels of care (e.g., LVN, RN, CNAs). Most of the places that I called only had nonlicensed caregivers. When coordinating care for a very ill and elderly man, it was very important to me to have access to higher levels of care if necessary. In addition to access to licensed care givers, Synergy Home Care provided quality, compassionate, and loving caregivers. The team that took care of my neighbor ensured that his final days were lived out with dignity and grace. My hospital stay at San Antonio Hospital contracted with Adept Home/Health Services last week after…read moremy hospital stay for home care. They showed up as agreed per the appointment but was not prepared to handle my exact medical issue. I advised them that the doctor updated my file and their contract info. on my release from the hospital. The health care lady (Suzanne) called her boss (Maureen Hyams) and asked me various questions and upon trying to answer her questions, she cut me off each time to give her analysis. I could not talk for 5 seconds to answer he questions which means she did not want to hear anything I had to say regarding my medical situation and history. After 20 minutes of this type of communication, I had enough. Not only was I in pain, discomfort and looking for professional home health care assistance that I was paying for, but tired and now confused. I immediately fired them, called San Antonio Hospital and filed a complaint who advised me that they updated Adept Home Health Services on my situation and don't know why they were not prepared to assist me. I was re-assigned a new Home Health Care company to assist me that came out the next day and assisted me based on my medical problem and hospital information. Beware of anyone or any company who you hire to assist you that is not only un-prepared but will not listen to your comments or answers to questions that they ask !!!!
