Because we live several hours away, we were working under a very tight timeline and weren't sure where everything could go. Carla was my first contact, and she immediately put me at ease. She listened, helped us build a plan, and even connected me with another thrift store in case Wise Penny couldn't accommodate everything we had. Her reassurance meant more than she probably realizes. I later worked with Jeff, who was equally knowledgeable, patient, and kind. When we arrived, store manager Brittney and several team members met us and helped unload everything quickly and carefully. They treated us with such compassion during an emotional day and made a difficult task so much easier. Wise Penny Thrift Shoppe went far beyond simply accepting a donation--they cared about the people making it. We are incredibly grateful for the kindness they extended to our family. I know why they are calling it the Bloc! It's big! Everything was clean and so organized. The displays looked like they were from a cover of a magazine! Whoever is putting together each area has a true gift! Prices are far less than other places I have visited. I certainly have to stop back when I drop sizes and am due for a new wardrobe! I am going to get more bang for my buck at this place! The cashier was a huge help pointing me in the right direction, and I am a fan of those blue eyes! The founder of the place swung by and she checked to see if I was finding everything okay and let me loan a tape measure, also. Secondly and most importantly, this thrift shop exists literally to bless others. Each month, the store chooses a different organization to which the entire month's profits go. It doesn't have as much parking as Walmart but I have found great deals, everything is always well organized, and most of the employees are pleasant volunteers. They also sort through their donations to make shirts not just a bunch of junk that you have to dig through. I highly recommend it
