Once again, Gabe and Gus were incredible to work with and fixed my '79 bus quickly and correctly. I had a distributor issue, and Gus fully educated me on the situation and gave me two options. One option to replace the points which could go bad again soon due to that they are all made over seas now. Option two was to use a new electronic points system which will be much more durable and long lasting. My bus is back on the road! Also, it doesn't get better than Gus! He is seriously the best front office person every. He is a mixture of VW mechanic and 5-star hotel concierge. He seriously has the best customer service skills. He books the appointment, he reminds you days before, and he fully understands VWs and Audis! Plus he's super nice! And seriously to this guy who gave the one star, he can eat a bag, this scenario is not even possible. I bet then angry old white man was not communicating properly with Gus or Gabe. I rarely write an updated review but after my second appointment, I was inspired to do so. I recently purchased a fiberglass dune buggy on a 1967 VW Chassis. As one gets to know an old vehicle like this there are many surprises that in due time unfold. I first took this vehicle with a mile long laundry list and AG addressed a number of issues in just one day, yet I kept finding more "things" that needed to be addressed. In my second appointment Gus kept me informed as to their progress while Gabe treated my vehicle like his own. He pointed out some safety issues, rear brakes, that needed immediate attention for example. Rerouting the accelerator cable without any curves was another. After my second appointment, this vehicle is now reliable thanks to replacing my alternator diagnosed by AG. I am going back for a few other things which should finalize for now. Prices are very reasonable, workmanship is first rate. I highly recommend their company for new and not so newer vehicles. read more

So happy I found AG Autowerks to service my Q5! From my initial call to get info and make an appointment these guys are a class act! Gus is very courteous and professional when answering questions on the phone. These guys are your typical scam artist car shop. Quoted over $1100 in labor for a job another place quoted $420 for the exact same job. Not only that left my car with a completely dead battery. Avoid these guys like the plague. I'd like to give an update on this review as of 12-2-2020, I took my car to another shop which ran a diagnostic and found that the fuel injection pump was not faulty and only needed new gasket seals and the lines bled. The total cost to fix this was $286 in labor and parts. Clearly AG autowerks never ran a diagnostic on my car and came up with the most expensive option to "fix" my car. Again I can not stress this enough avoid these scam artists. read more

On my last visit, they replaced my cat converter, and adjusted my air flow meter so that my Gross Polluter would legally and properly pass smog. they did it in a few days and the price was awesome. Had some work done for my son and I really liked my initial interaction they know VW both old and new. My only complaint is that the guy that runs the front desk can be abrupt on the phone and tries to add more cost without explanation or cause. After I spoke to the owner he got things straightened out. The work was done well and the budget that they stated originally was held to by the end of the project. Awesome service. Gabe and Andy really know their stuff when it comes to Audi/VW. They told me exactly what needed to be done and what was necessary/unnecessary. They knew more about Audi than the people over at DCH Audi Calabasas (awful place) and Rusnak Audi Thousand Oaks (not as bad) and they made me feel very confident with my choice of letting them do all the repairs on my car. I'm just thankful to god that my lil car issue didn't turn out much worse and gave out before the freeway. If u know me, I always forget my seat belt (maybe it's the motorcycle riding ) . My brake caliper shook loose and jammed my front tire today causing my wheel to lock ...Thankfully it happened right as I was entering the fwy rather than while on it because If it locked up there, it wouldnt have been pretty ..The tow truck had no luck getting that low ass car on their truck..the guy was nice enough to literally walk aside my car as we rolled it to the nearest shop... this shop was AG autowerks ..I just want to thank AG autowerks who actually specialize in volks wagon not my sh*t for taking it apart and fixing my breaks...in the end he didn't want any compensation but of course that isn't acceptable for the help he rendered so I made sure to tip. I highly recommend them not because of that generosity but more because those are the type of business' we should be throwing our money at ...a business that is out to help you rather than themselves ..they deserve the support to operate...insane how Many good people are out there ..I'm very lucky not only to be safe but to be able witness good people who carry their lives the way the ones I encountered today do.
