I got to Chicago and another shop did good work but when I looked at the charge I was like; "I know taxes are skyhigh out here but really?"...Then I found this shop, I had already decided to sell it and had an offer of $6 K. When I picked it up I fell in love with it all over again, they fixed what they were supposed to but they also made some other adjustment voluntarily. I love opening up all four carburetors and hearing that factory header growl, whatever else they did made it so I couldn't sell, shit I don't need the money at my age, gonna keep it now that I have mechanics that know what they're doing without making me bend over and grab my ankles......

Read the following for more info: A couple months ago, I brought my brand new car to Dan at Chi-South Customs 25885 S Ridgeland Ave #4, Monee, IL 60449 to paint an Italian stripe on the front, fix one scratch on front drivers fender, and color match the silver trim around side windows and a couple other spots on car. Three weeks later I picked up my car and paid in full. The next day I called Dan since I saw several issues with the vehicle. We went over every part of what he did wrong on my car. He gave me $2000. back. Could still see scratch on fender, the stripe is wavy, bled into the black, a scratch out of the white by emblem that he didn't even take off to paint. Painted all silver trim on car with out taking it off and didn't prep correctly. Passenger side $2000 in damage, head light has a 3 in. scratch. Front grill that wasn't painted has a 2in. scratch and over spray on it. All rubber around windows has paint on it. Red, white, and green over spray on sunroof. Over spray on other parts of car and windows. Damaged the front clip and hood with out fixing lines and wet sanded and buffed only parts of it. Buffing compound in a lot of spots he didn't clean. Now I have over $10,000 in damage I have to put out now to get it fixed. Dan said his insurance won't take care of it and he has no money. I told him to at least make payments and no response. Sorry to say he's not a man of his word.

I did not approve of repairs to my car, but they insisted on "fixing my car" The Mechanic Brendon...was heard as being High and Hungover while he worked on my car. I insisted that the team to STOP touching my car due to the unprofessional manner by the mechanic. They refused and kept going....it was HORRIBLE. I was angered and upset that someone was willing to HURT my Car. I eventually got them to stop. They bolted my lower ball joint backwards, and shoved my car to the lot. I had it transported to Clavey down the street on Chestnut. The Professionals at Clavey assessed that they broke my Wheel Bearing and Hub. They also broke my lower ball joint and damaged my brake system. The crew found multiple issues on my car due to the lack of experience by the Cars of America staff.
