I called before the appointment was to commence and let them know - no worries, they said. When I checked in, the person at the desk said they needed to reschedule me to 3+ hours later. No policy around that that I saw before or since. Then she said my visit would be upwards of $500. Needless to say, I walked (or rather, limped) out and will never return. Don't trust them -- total scam!

Josh is the type of provider who does just that, he listens. With true empathy and concern for the wellbeing of his patients, and trust in the validity of their personal experience and bodily autonomy. Being treated by him has always felt more like a collaborative effort than prescriptive formula, he checks in with you on your feelings about his thoughts and recommendations for your health, and doesn't push for solutions that don't feel good to you. I can say from my personal experience that this is very rare in the medical field, and throughout my difficult experiences with my health, I more often unfortunately experienced the exact opposite. I trust him implicitly with my health, because I feel trusted by him in return. I feel comfortable coming to him with any concern, as I know he will help me find the right treatment plan that works for me. I present more femme and alternative which has led to some pre judgement in the past when seeking treatment, but I have never once felt or feared that from Josh. If anything, I appreciate the kinship we share in alternative expression. The new office is lovely and Donita and Jacob at the front desk are always so warm and helpful. I love that he's at Capitol Hill Medical now and don't have to go through Virginia Mason to get in touch with him. They do tend to prescribe medication more often here than other places, but when I've expressed concern with a specific Rx I had issues with, they were quick to find an alternative. The biggest reason I love this place is the time it takes. I'm usually out the door in less than 15 minutes (with an appointment). That includes greeting reception, getting vitals from an assistant, answering questions about why I'm there, talking to the doc, and leaving with my visit summary. I don't come here when I'm feeling well - I want to be back home, wrapped in a blanket, hopefully with some antibiotics or medication to make my plague less miserable. More than any other place I've been, this checks that box. If you're looking for a conversation about how your family is doing, make an appointment with your PCP. Then the nurse practitioner prescribed the wrong strength of a medicine that I use many times and it's not a common strength that the pharmacy doesn't carry. They then call me back multiple days later and say "oh your insurance denied this medicine", and I said "yeah you guys prescribed the wrong strength - most people use a different one and the pharmacies all carry a different one. Customer service rep then tries to push me to use GoodRX instead of helping rectify the situation. Then the customer service rep who called me starts talking over me, develops a very big attitude, and then tells me "oh you're not mad at us you're mad at your pharmacist and your insurance company this is just misplaced." I was like "no i am trying to tell you something and you keep talking over me." I then ask for her name and a supervisor and she says Erika and then hangs up on me. Wow. Never in my life have I had such terrible customer service. I didn't even call them- they called me. What is you with this place?

I had an MD eval, labs, a CT scan, and a fluid bolus, and I was out of there in a little over an hour. For anyone not in healthcare, that is wildly impressive. Considering most wait times in the ER or urgent care can easily exceed 6-8 hours, this experience really stood out to me and absolutely warranted a review update. The clinic was super clean, organized, and the whole process felt incredibly streamlined from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and kept everything moving quickly without making the experience feel cold or rushed. That is a hard balance to strike in healthcare, and they nailed it. I do not impress easily when it comes to medical workflows, and this place absolutely delivered.
