I just finished my treatment that lasted 6 months and I can say that it was worth it. Aside from the treatment, Dr. Verdugo has vitamins that really help your well-being. In addition, he recommended the preparation of natural juices that are already part of my daily life and that contribute a lot to my health and physical well-being. Once upon a time, I was ignorant of the teachings, beliefs, and value of chiropractic work, as it just wasn't something we learned about in school. Instead, I learned all about drugs and their value in treating patients. But when I developed numbness in both hands, I had to see someone! My first step was the hand specialists at USC (read my review...rolling my eyes). The doctor stated I had classic carpal tunnel, and spent less than 5 minutes flat telling me I needed surgery. Um, no way! As I was talking to my other healthcare friends, I heard one talk about Dr. Verdugo. Honestly, I decided it couldn't hurt! It took me a couple months of debating before I went to see Dr. Verdugo, but he was pleasant, professional, and was willing to answer all my questions about Chiropractic. And I'm not kidding when I say I had a lot of questions! His answers put me at ease and made me understand the logic behind chiropractic work! An x-ray determined that I was suffering from a pinched nerve. Now a little over a month into my therapy, the pain and muscle spasms are gone. We're not working on a plan for better ergonomic habits, and lifestyle changes to prevent the pain from coming back. Highly recommend! I've added images to illustrate my progress... He isn't one of those chiropractors who's either not trained well enough, or not experienced enough to do all the necessary adjustments. Rick is no sissy, he doesn't need to use those sissy instruments, just his chiro table and his bare hands. If you're into the sissy small adjustments, he's got those fancy instruments too. It just so happened that last week, I had tremendous tension and pain in my shoulder. I learned later by reading online that is because of a pinched nerve between C6-C7 (just below the neck.) I think i tweaked it by accident when training jiu-jitsu. Luckily for me, I already knew exactly where to seek treatment. This morning, I didn't even tell Dr. Rick about the pain I've been experiencing. He found it with his hands, I think his exact words were, "What's going on here?" He did my usual wellness adjustment and boom - the tension is gone as the pressure on the nerve is gone. He still doesn't know just how much he helped this morning. I am writing this review on my own accord. Even if you are not in pain, believe me, there's no better investment in your health than a chiropractic adjustment, especially one done by Dr. Rick.
