jollof rice and wings. Meatless Egusi Soup + Fufu, and palm butter
    Terri S.

It smelled so good when walking in! I was excited to try their food. We placed an online order at 6:30, and we waited approximately until 7:30 to receive our food. So just be cautious of your time if you're in a rush. They did also have a sign in their store saying to be aware of their wait times. However, their food for sure made up for the long wait! It was super flavorful and cooked so well. To make it even better, that portion was huge for the jollof rice plates. No wonder why it was $30+ for each meal. Decor was super beautiful inside and it was very clean.

I'm so glad we have an option like AfroEatz in Sacramento. The outside of the building is hard to miss with its beautiful and colorful mural. Inside is equally warm and welcoming with art all over the walls and rainbow light shining through the windows. You can choose dine in or take out options, and if you decide to dine in you my be seated with other people depending on your party size as they encourage community here. The team here is really friendly, and the whole restaurant smells delicious as soon as you walk in. They have a variety of items and they're all better shared, while they seem expensive the portions are very generous and the food is filling. If you're looking for something quick the meat pies are amazing and easy to enjoy on the go. The other options are better to sit and enjoy including jollof rice, soup and stew options, fish and chicken. There's plenty of street parking nearby so you'll be able to grab a spot and spend some time enjoying AfroEatz. It's definitely a good spot to visit with friends or small groups.

So. Good. My first time trying Liberian food and it did not disappoint! I've been wanting to try fufu and egusi for the LONGEST time. Everyone on TikTok around the world raves about it, and I needed a place in Sacramento that sold it. This was the spot. The flavors were amazing, the HAND PIES? MY FAVORITEEEEE. We met with the owner, Pinky, and it was so great getting the chance to speak with her and learn about the restaurant, the mural, and her intentions for the restaurant. I will say... the fufu and egusi are very hyped up on the internet, but the star dish of this whole thing?? The jollof rice plate with chicken. This was so good and could probably feed 2-3 people. The inside (and outside obviously) has beautiful artwork everywhere displaying the culture so well. Even the music goes with the entire vibe of the spot. This is a spot with communal seating so if it's a full house and you're sitting at a table of 6 with only 2 people, you might meet some new people at your table! :)

    Salty AF today!!!!!!!

We always order the Egusi from Afroeats and it's usually so good, which is why this was really disappointing today. The food was extremely salty -- so salty that I couldn't even eat it and had to throw it away. Please address this. We really love the food here and order often, but this dish was overly salty and honestly shouldn't have been sent out like that. Ordered through DoorDash. Hoping this was just an off day, because we normally enjoy your food and would like to continue supporting you.

My friend wanted to try this spot because we passed by the beautiful exterior and we were intrigued! We did come like 45 minutes before closing so most of the menu was not accessible. However they had Jollof rice dishes available so we both got one each! Myself the wings and she had a roast chicken, I believe. The flavor was out of this world! The chicken was coated in this delicious seasoning mix and was very moist. The Jollof rice was super flavorful and the portions were huge. It also came with plantains and a beautiful cabbage mix that I enjoyed. The staff was kind and attentive. I wish I lived in Sacramento because I would probably be here every other week.

Came here for the first time with my friends for dinner after seeing so many videos of it online and hearing great reviews from said friends. This place did not disappoint! The inside is so cute with various seating styles (tables, high tops, bar) and communal seating. You will scan a QR code to access the menu and order and then it will be brought out to you. We came on a Sunday and spun a wheel and won a free side of fufu! The staff were super friendly and helpful in answering questions, one of us paid cash and the worker helped take the order/have us pay since we weren't using the QR code to order. We ordered different dishes: beef/meat pies, egusi soup + fufu, pepper soup + fufu, jollof rice + wings, and jollof rice + whole fish. They brought us some Kala with a delicious spicy sauce as well. Every single item was incredible, super flavorful, and so unique compared to other food I've had. The pepper soup is perfectly spicy and goes great with the mild smooth fufu. The jollof rice is so good, the fish was perfectly cooked, and the plantains on the side were caramelized and amazing. So filling and we all left with leftovers. Only been once, but will absolutely be back!

This was our first authentic Liberian experience and the hospitality that these guys provided was nothing like we've ever experienced. Take into account that all dishes are made fresh and may take a little patience so definitely not the place for a quick bite. You will be placing your order online using the QR code. We were not familiar with the dishes and cuisine but at AfroEatz they are so eager and happy to share their culture that they brought out an appetizer while we looked over the menu; they brought out and order of Kala which came with a red sauce that was so tasty, and beef meat pies. At the entrance of the restaurant they have a spin the wheel with chances of got some free sides. We won a free side of Jollof Rice, delicious! We ordered a few entrees, their portions are plentiful and can easily be split by two people. I ordered the whole fish and a side of fufu which I was so excited to try. As I was attempting to eat the fufu one of the chefs came out and told me she would bring me something to eat the fufu with. She brought out some Egusi Soup and this ended up being my favorite dish out of the whole experience! We also very much enjoyed the very lively music and over all vibe in the restaurant was vibrant!

We saw this place on TikTok and my sister wanted to try it. Let me start by saying this is a must try ! The atmosphere was amazing the music was a vibe and Nasco was the gentleman helping us. He recommended we try the salmon pies, the salmon pies were flaky and had a smoked salmon flavor in the center of give it a 9/10 but then when you as the mild sauce they had it made it 10/10 for sure the spices in the sauces were delicious. the egusi soup and fufu, I rate it 8/10 it was very flavorful the texture was something I never experienced it was so fun to eat and you have to try it just for the experience alone.jollof rice + chicken (halal), hands down 10/10 the flavor in that chicken and how it falls of the bone is amazing hands down will be ordering it again. We also tried the beef patties , the flakiness of the crust and the beef filling they do not miss on the flavor. Nothing was salty but had extreme flavor and that's talent to not have to power food with salt to give that flavor just the spices! We also had the pineapple ginger beer and the hibiscus ginger beer delicious and refreshing! Hands down a must try if you are in sac. The experience and customer service and flavor all is definitely a 10/10

I enjoyed our meal. Quick service. The flavors were good, an acquired taste, not something I would crave. I do think you should try at least once. The food didn't have much protein. Great experience nonetheless.

    Egusi + fufu

I've never had Liberian food before so I just had to try it out. You can order at the kiosk and pick out a table, they'll bring you the food. Egusi: A One of the most flavorful dishes I've found in Sacramento. Not sure what spices go into it but it's a very warm blend, plus with all the spinach and chicken/pork it's very nourishing. It's a soup but more equivalent to an Indian curry consistency. Fufu: A One of the most intriguing foods I've seen so I had to try it. It's almost like a mochi consistency, soft sticky and stretchy. It's a bit bland by itself but goes great with the egusi. Definitely come here if you're interested in highly flavorful and spices food, or something unique!

My friends and I wanted to check out AfroEatz after seeing many videos online. Walking in we sat ourself and everything was done on your phone after scanning the QR code at the table. We ordered the Jollof rice + chicken, the egusi soup + fufu, wings and plantains and the salmon pies. It was kind of troubling trying to pay (and more expensive) with Apple pay so I recommend that you just input your credit card info. All the food came out hot and fresh. Everything was super flavorful and the highlight was definitely the salmon pies and the wings.

Popped into this new Sacramento offering while in town. Pretty easy parking options nearby. Beautifully painted outside makes it hard to miss and quite intriguing, pleasantly surprised to see some beautiful artwork on the inside, not sure if any of its for sale but it should be! The music playing was lively and kept me boppin in my seat. Staff are friendly and seem genuinely excited about sharing the culture and their food. I love that! Upon walking in it's a little disjointed. You have to take a number from the counter. Then start placing an order in the wall console, which will ask for said number. The staff are pretty good about greeting you, but I noticed not one said hey our menus pretty limited right now and boy was it. On Saturday early afternoon they were out of 75% of the menu. Which means we didn't get anything we actually came in to order. If they are packed or you come in as a single eater, you might end up sharing a table with others so take note of that isn't your preference. If you're open to being social the patrons are too. We had conversations with both sides of our table, it was great. Ended up with whole fish and wings with jollof rice. Flavors on everything were great! Loved the two colors of cabbage. Plantains were on point, I usually don't care for them at all but I gobbled half and took the rest to nibble on again later. Jollof rice was lovely, great ratio of veggies. We also tried the dough that apparently you're supposed to order with a soup. There were no instructions. I really wanted to try anything okra but the only way was to order another dish of jollof rice with the sauce. We didn't need 3 platters of rice. Just wanted a smidge of the sauce to taste. Unfortunately it's not offered as a side and they were out of everything else. The wings and jollof only come with 3 pieces, making that dish hard to share for the price. Most other dishes look large enough to actually just share one bringing things back down to reasonable pricing for two and a cute but messy potential date night adventure. All in all worth stopping by for a new experience, especially if you're a lover of flavorful things. Nothing we had was spicy just flavorful.

Really impressed with this place, when i walked in it had a really homey and cozy atmosphere due to the warm lighting. Ordering was super simple just scan the qr code and boom just order your food. For the food was a whole different experience, as a little wasian boy myself I usually i'm surrounded by Asian cuisines and such so this was a new experience for me, all I can say was the food was amazing. We ordered the fufu and egusi which i've been wanting to try for the longest time and I my expectations have been exceeded. Our server consistently checked in on us which was really nice. Overall I give this place a 9.5/10 with no really negatives to say about it. Also the bathrooms are really nice.

By the name, I would not have thought Palace Food Services was a Nigerian restaurant as well as a night-club/bar! It really sounds like a food catering establishment. Anyways, walking into the dim and empty restaurant (save for one mom and kids), we were not greeted. My friend read on Yelp that you're supposed to find yourself a seat. It would have been nice to have a sign up front that mentions that. We ordered: Meat Pie - this was ordered since they were out of oxtails as a just-to-try. It came out MUCH later than our entree and was actually still cold in the middle from the frozen peas and carrots. The taste and pastry outside were good though. Goat Egusi Soup with Fufu - At the time, this (not even filled) bowl of goat egusi was $25. It only came with a few pieces of goat, and the rest were bones. Tastewise, I really enjoyed it. And the fufu had a very sticky mashed potato consistency that was very messy, but flavorful too. Side of Jollof Rice - The rice was a little dry and wasn't my favorite. The price to amount of food ratio is wildly off in my opinion. Looking back at the menu, I was shocked to see jollof rice under the kid's section to be $20+! If that jollof rice portion was the same as the dome we received.... smh. The man that took our order and helped us throughout our meal was very nice, but that was about it. Overall, not our best first experience, so we are on the search for a redemption West African restaurant to try.
