Promptly greeted with a smile and warm welcome! I sorted through many beautiful patterns and settled on two masks and a bonnet/mask set. She helps me fit both strands, and there's a good amount leftover so while I'm peeking around I notice a third item I want to buy--a kids' track jacket for my 3yr old niece in kente pattern. I've obviously felt at home here by now--another customer comes in to pay for 3 masks so I wait and look around some more (one waist bead strand is on and the other is still being tied and cut). My turn again, and this amazing woman says to put my foot up on a stool and she fits me for an anklet with the remaining bead threads. Absolutely recommend! Will shop here again! The most upsetting part isn't even the money I spent. It's the fact that I specifically asked multiple times whether these bundles were 100% human hair and whether they could be lifted and dyed, and I was repeatedly assured that they could. I trusted what I was being told, spent my money in good faith, and planned around the information I was given. Only to find out that the hair would not take color the way I was promised. As someone who works in the beauty industry, I understand that hair quality matters, and I know the difference between a product that delivers on its promises and one that doesn't. What makes this experience so frustrating is that I gave the employees multiple opportunities to be honest with me before I made my purchase. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I simply wanted to know what I was paying for. If the hair wasn't suitable for coloring, all they had to do was tell me the truth. I could have made an informed decision and spent my money elsewhere. I understand that businesses offer deals and affordable prices, but a good price means absolutely nothing when the customer is being misled. Not everyone is looking for the cheapest option. Some of us are more than willing to pay for quality, and we deserve honesty regardless of the price point. The saddest part is that this experience has completely taken away my trust in this business. You can offer the best deals in the world, but once customers feel deceived, that trust is difficult to rebuild. I would have respected them far more if they had simply been transparent about the quality of their hair instead of assuring me of something that my experience did not reflect. I'm not upset because I didn't get something for nothing. I'm upset because I paid for a product based on promises that were made directly to me, and I was left disappointed with hair that could not do what I was explicitly told it could do. Customers work hard for their money. The least a business can offer in return is honesty. Cheap prices should never come at the expense of integrity, and no customer should have to question whether the people selling them a product are telling them the truth. This experience was unacceptable, and I genuinely hope this business takes its customers more seriously moving forward.
