The food at this location was similar to the other location: very tasty, but a bit pricey for the small portions. We got the 2 whole chickens family combo ($49.50). This came with 2 really small chickens, rice, plantains, and salad. For the chicken you can get mild, medium spicy, or spicy. We got one mild (for the kids) and one spicy. The spicy one was delicious. They don't fool around, it's really spicy! The mild one was flavourful, but I definitely likes the spicy one better. They were both a little too oily/greasy for my liking, but I still enjoyed it. The chickens were really small, much smaller than roasted chickens you'd get at Loblaws, Metro, etc. The rice was soft and fluffy. It contained peas, carrots, corn, green bean pieces. I think it's from the frozen vegetable mix (you know the one I'm talking about, I think it's called Macedoine Mix). Anyway, it was good. I loved the plantains. They were soft and slightly sweet. The salad was a romaine salad with carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, and green peppers. It came with your choice of Caesar or balsamic dressing on the side (we chose balsamic). Ingredients were fresh. Staff were very nice and friendly. The place is new and clean. It's in a strip mall (same plaza as Just Wok, Orleans Bakery, and Gabriel's Pizza). There's lots of free parking.

You have to order ahead of time though because it takes about the an hour for it to be ready. I got the Mixed Platter for my parents and I for lunch and it was great! The Mixed Platter is $45 and it comes with 4 beef kababs, 4 chicken kababs, 4 ground meat kafta, rice, salad, hummus and garlic sauce. My dad was super disappointed that it didn't come with pita or naan bread, but he got over it, lol. The meats were fantastic. The beef was so tender and the chicken was juicy, despite being lean chicken breast meat. They were big pieces of meat too and I love that the kebabs were mostly meat and not mostly vegetable fillers like onions. The only vegetable on the kebabs was green peppers and they were tasty. The kafta were flavourful and good, but I preferred the other kababs better. The salad was romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and green peppers. All vegetables were fresh. I liked that the dressing automatically came on the side so the salad wasn't soggy. The rice was soft and fluffy but a bit too greasy for my liking. My dad (who loves carbs) felt that there was not enough rice. I agree that the rice was minimal; there was just a very thin layer of rice under the meats. The garlic was creamy, rich and potent. The hummus was smooth. I enjoyed them both. Service was courteous. The place looked clean and the shelves were well stocked. I didn't look around too much though. I would buy their platters again. Lots of free parking in the plaza.

I had never had anything from St. Hubert in my life. Growing up, there was a store in Scarborough…read morethat my family would drive by, but we never went there. These days, you can only get St. Hubert in the frozen food section in the GTA. As luck would have it, I came across this St. Hubert location driving to my hotel to check in. I made a mental note and came here for dinner on my first full day in Ottawa. I parked. There was lots of parking. This location also has a drive-thru. I walked in. As an express eatery, I saw lots of trays with napkins, cutlery, and beverage cups all arranged on multiple trays on the counter. I liked that this place was so organized. It felt like an assembly line! I find that a hot chicken sandwich to be my comfort food at any rotisserie joint. I ordered it here. You have a choice between the original (vinegar) or creamy coleslaw. I went with the former. It also comes with a fountain drink. I paid using a credit card. I got a cup and went to use the fancy beverage machine to dispense some Diet Coke. There was a huge sign that said that you can't do refills. I wasn't thinking of doing that, but I suppose that folks have abused the pop system. As soon as I chose a table to sit down and also put my drink on the table, my meal was ready. I like this express thing! I thanked the woman who gave me my tray of food. I walked back to my table to chow down. My chicken sandwich was delicious. I liked the huge chunks of meat, both white and dark. The gravy was yummy. The original coleslaw was light and crunchy. I don't like highly vinegary coleslaw. It was perfect here. Staff are friendly and competent. They were great. I enjoyed having dinner here. It was cheap, comforting, and tasty. I'm not sure why the ratings are low here. If I had this eatery in my area, I'd gladly ditch going to the major burger fast-food joints for St Hubert. (234)

Since this location opened several years ago, 2/3 of the time we order online, the delivery is well…read moreover an hour to deliver, up to 90 minutes on some instances or they screw up the order (forgot item, wrong item). Haven't ordered in 6 months and decide to try again (bang head against wall) and sure enough order took an hour and twenty minutes to get here, was barely warm and I tossed it out. I called to ask for a refund and was told "That's not how we do things here". I was offered a credit or replacement meal, but with all the years of issues, I don't want a credit for a place I will NEVER order from again. After reading the reviews here, looks like I am not alone. Maybe take the money from my order and put it towards better customer service.
