It was super easy to make my initial first appointment, and the consultation was great! Fast forward to today .... I had my first fillings done by Dr. Jun and enough words cannot be said. Dr. Jun was very gentle, but what I noticed immediately is that he was VERY THOROUGH. You can tell that he's is really passionate about his work, and that he truly treats patients teeth like they are gems..... at least that's how I felt . The front desk staff is very friendly and there's never really a long wait when you get there to be taken in the back and the dental office is really quiet and serene. I don't understand how Dr. Klapper keeps them employed- I partially blame him. There is no reason for his staff to act the way they do. It is terrible. My brother had an appointment scheduled for 12:30 today, we drive all the way there and we are told by Allison that he doesn't have an appointment and can't be seen. I just spoke with her last Thursday and scheduled the appointment. Why would we drive all the way there for nothing? They obviously aren't organized and she did not make any accommodations for us. Just totally rude, unprofessional, and unacceptable. A total waste of time. During a previous appointment at the largo office my brother had a 10-minute teeth cleaning/exam. He literally was done in 10 minutes. Who does a 10-minute teeth cleaning/exam? I have never heard of such. That makes no sense and there is no way that can be a thorough job at all. There were no x-rays, nothing, just a rushed job. It definitely was not a thorough exam. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Dr. Klapper needs to fire Allison immediately as she and the other staff are a very poor reflection on his business. My family and I will not be patronizing this business anymore. It is deplorable!

Nevertheless, my experience at Dr. Rix was great. As soon as I met him, it is like we immediately became friends. He has a super friendly and comical persona. I think he might have started cracking jokes as soon as we started talking. The only trouble came when he was cleaning my teeth and I couldn't stop giggling at his jokes. He made the slight discomfort of have my teeth scrapped tolerable. We talked about everything from the importance of flossing to why "gums" are even called "gums". I can tell that his positive persona rubs off on his receptionists and dental staff, everyone was pleasant and smiling. Perfect example of how great management fosters a positive work environment. I look forward to my next visit with Dr. Rix! So glad he takes my insurance. I will be recommending him!

I scheduled my son's very first dental…read moreappointment with them 1.5 months out and the day of the appointment I called to confirm and they said they canceled the appointment due to the dentist having to leave early that day. They told me they tried to call me twice but didn't leave a voice message, which doesn't make sense. Now they don't have any appointments for 2 more months. My suggestion would be to call their front office a week before and the day before so you don't have to do unnecessary coordinating for an appointment that isn't happening. Unfortunate this happened since this part of town doesn't have many other options for pediatrics dentists.
