Andrew and Aficionauto came highly recommended from two colleagues when I asked about detailing my car -- and for good reason! He's easy to communicate with (we handled our arrangement over email until the day of) and friendly. Conveniently, he came to my house and worked on the car in the driveway while I was at work. Two crew and himself pulled up in a huge van filled with detailing equipment I can only dream of owning. On arrival he examined the car, explained what he'd be doing, and made suggestions for improvements I could make to protect the car. When I arrived home that evening the car was glowing and radiant. By no means is the car new (5 years) and has seen it's fair share of action on the road. The residue was deep cleaned, paint was polished and protected, looked and smelled great inside as well. No more swirl marks, no more scuffs or scratches -- years of mistakes reversed! As others have mentioned, Andrews quotes were on target with his final invoice. He even sent some follow up care suggestions via email with links to the products he suggested I use for ongoing protection. His attention to detail and knowledge on the subject is remarkable to say the least, he assessed and treated my car like his own. I will be using him exclusively moving forward and I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking to have the job done right. read more

I've used Andrew a few times to get my cars back up to shape. A couple of times have been on general detailing, once getting a car ready to sell. In all occasions the result of the work has been great. His prices are as reasonable as anyone I've found, but the quality is better. Best of all I feel I can trust him to do a good job. read more

My wife and I met Andrew ten years ago in 2005. When I visit SB I take my Imola Red E36 M3 cabrio to him and he always makes it look brand new, the guy is a magician with the polisher. The nicest guy, just wish he was closer to LA because driving out to SB for work is wearing me down :D Looking forward to seeing you again Andrew! read more

If I could give more stars, I would! Andrew is the best detailing place around! He is super thorough, showed up on-time, works quickly and really did the best job on my father's Porsche that we've ever seen. I highly recommend this company! You won't regret it! read more

I went through 3 or 4 detailers before finding Andrew 3 years ago and I have been continually impressed ever since. He and his team do amazing work! They obviously take pride in their work and it shows. After a recent bad experience with a simple wash at Santa Barbara Car Wash & Detail Center (112 w. Canon Perdido) I will never let another person touch my car without Andrew @ Aficionauto Detail's approval! read more

One of the great things about living in Santa Barbara is that you can find really competent, smart people in all sorts of jobs. Andrew at Aficionauto Detail is just that sort of person. I just had my car detailed today and I am so impressed with the job he did. The car looked so good -- especially after it had been drowning in Jacaranda blossoms -- that I was tempted to take it out and sell it for far more than it was worth! I know that car detailing can seem like an unnecessary luxury, but the job that was done was worth every penny. I can't recommend this little business too highly. read more

I found Andrew on Yelp and after reading his great reviews decided to give him a call. I was very impressed when he answered my call on nearly the first ring. I explained to him that I needed to get a decal removed from my car and after sending him a text photo of the job and talking to him right after he said that it should be a simple job and true to his word it was. He and his assistant came over the very same day (!) and I was so happy to see that after they were done that there was no sign of the decal ever being on my car! They even gave my car a well needed wash! I will definitely be calling him again and wholeheartedly recommend you do too! read more

I had Andrew detail my new Tesla and apply C.Quartz on the painted surfaces. He did an extraordinary job and my car looks better than new. He also cleaned and coated the glass and detailed the interior. I have never had a car look so clean and shiny as my Tesla. Each day I'm amazed at how great it looks. Andrew provided me with information on how to keep my car looking good for many weeks. I will definitely have him come by in a few months to check things out and re-fresh my coating. He is enthusiastic and knowledgable about what he does and I would highly recommend Andrew to anyone who cares about the appearance of their car. read more

Hey guys and gals, I'm a car guy, a pretty seriously lame one. I love my car and probably put more thought into its health then my own. I discovered Aficionauto on yelp, concluding that they were the professionals I was looking for from some past reviews, but little did I know it going to be the best money I had spent on my car to date. To be clear, I don't own a Ferrari, or a priceless Bugatti, or anything worth any substantial amount of moolah, I own a 23 year old bmw, that got the treatment most "fancy" cars could only dream of. My point is that Andrew and his crew made me feel as though I owned a rare piece of art, something that truly deserved a team of 3, and a Sprinter van full of high tech equipment ready to pamper my car to minty freshness. From the very first phone call I made contacting Andrew, he was as professional and friendly as could be. Scheduling was easy, and he touched base the day before out appointment, which was good because I had completely forgot.. Once they arrived, Andrew washed, measured the thickness of my paint(you can do that!?) then buffed out 23 years of scuffing and swirl marks, then sealing in the fresh paint with an awesome finish. All in all, the interaction was a friend like experience, and I see no need to go elsewhere for a detail. Although extremely reasonable, I would have been willing to pay much more for the treatment I got. Money. Well. Spent. But hey, I'm just a car guy. Thanks Andrew and crew, another happy customer, Simon Feldstein read more

What more can I say, Andrew is Doctor detail. For the past 9 years I've had Andrew detailed my cars twice a year. He is the best.

Our family has used Andrew Evans' Aficionauto Detail for more than 5 years. Aficionauto does excellent professional work at very reasonable prices. Andrew's knowledge of means and methods to overcome the most difficult detailing problems is the best I have ever experienced. Andrew and his crew are courteous, polite and always helpful. If there were 6 stars, I would give Aficionauto all 6. I would say that I could count on one hand the number of providers i have had do various work who would get such a rating. read more

My review may seem confusing because my permanent address is not Santa Barbara. I want to clarify ahead of time that I am reviewing Aficionauto Detail Service in Santa Barbara. Andrew Evan's Aficionauto Detail service is the best detail and wash service in town. Everything is exceptional, from the quality of products Andrew uses to the staff he employs. Andrew is passionate about his work, attentive to his clients' needs, thoughtful in his feedback, and committed to keeping cars of any age and condition in the best shape possible. We've used Andrew's service on all our vehicles (from my 10 year old VW Beetle to my husband's Mercedes. Recently, we purchased a new BMW X5 and had Andrew put the sealant on the new car's finish rather than the dealer because we know the quality of Andrew's work. Our car was returned to us looking absolutely beautiful. Andrew included a detailed message about the work he completed, future care for the finish, an invoice, and product guarantee information for my files. You won't find anyone who takes greater pride in their work than Andrew Evans. Aficionauto...the name to trust. read more

Wow! My car literally looks brand new. Between the immaculate clear coat, the shampooed carpets, the shiny interior, and every speck of dust removed from every crevice... it looks so amazing after Andrew's work. Thank you Andrew! read more

Andrew drove up to San Luis Obispo to fix some dealer induced swirls on my new BMW 135i and I couldn't be happier with the results. He was on-time, well-prepared, professional, and most importantly: very skilled at what he does. Andrew exceeded my expectations and I look forward to having him work on my cars in the future! read more

Google the best guy in town and saw it was him.. I do a lot of research before letting a detailer detail my car. He did a good job

I recently purchased a new car. While waiting for it to be built, I decided I wanted a ceramic coating applied and after further research, I decided on CQuartz Finest. This coating can only be installed by CarPro Authorized installers which can be found on the CQuartz website. That is where I discovered Aficionauto. After reading the stellar Yelp reviews, I contacted Andrew at Aficionauto to discuss CQuartz Finest and to arrange to have it applied. I didn't know exactly when my vehicle would be shipped, so Andrew was very flexible in scheduling multiple appointments to accommodate the unknown delivery schedule. When I finally received the car, Andrew and one of his crew came to my house and spent the day decontaminating, washing, polishing, and applying the coating to my new car. The results were fantastic and I couldn't be happier. Andrew even scheduled a follow-up appointment to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Aficionauto. The work they performed on my car was fantastic. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. I enjoyed discussing car care regimens with him and appreciated the feedback and advice he was able to provide. read more

Great job! Very Reasonable Price. On time. I will definitely call him again and recommend him to all of my friends. Thank you Andrew!

This is my first ever review and not many people impress me this way...so read on. I was putting off hiring someone to do the first time detail on my Mini Cooper Convertible because of some bad experiences with previous vehicles. I felt somewhat reassured by the reviews for Aficionauto (and I love the name) so I took the plunge. OH MY GOD! I don't remember the car looking this good when I drove it off the lot, and I'm not exaggerating. Andrew's attention to detail and technical knowledge about cleaning products, finishes, sealants etc. and how they worked with the Cooper's materials was beyond impressive. (Not hard to believe I guess when you find out he's been doing this since he was 11 years old) He managed to remove every bit of pine sap from the ragtop that continually rains down from our pine tree. Every inch of the car is immaculate and restored to it's previous beauty. And tips galore about how to keep it that way. I couldn't be happier. Hire him, and be amazed. (and no, he's not my son) read more
