If you're confused by all the makes and models of cars out there, the Car Angel, Greg Macke, can help you zero in on your top priorities. And more importantly, he will negotiate to get you the best price. It's rare to find this combination of mechanical knowledge and communication skills in one individual. Greg was a pleasure to work with. He saved us, headaches, legwork, and money. A true Angel! read more

I've worked with Greg to buy a new car as well as sell 3 Priuses (personal and company cars). Recently he sold my Prius for much more than either of us was expecting, due to the absolute makeover Greg gave it. All the right repairs to make it shine again, making a new buyer happy. I was so happy to let Greg do all the work of selling, and still getting me so much more than I can get trading it in to the dealer. I highly recommend his personalized service! read more

Greg did as little as possible to help me. I am disabled - that is why I hired him. It took several months to get a call back. Later I did widen my criteria and waited! After about 6 months I text him... Ah, I have a vehicle right here. I bought it and it's turned out to be a nightmare. That I'll be here for you as long as you own the vehicle is bullshit. When I bought the vehicle he told me he really just wanted to go home and make music. He lied to me about his relationship with Kirby Subaru. Trying to do business with Greg, he was either on vacation or out of the country on vacation! Maybe he treats people from Ojai different. read more

Greg helped me sell my husband's car, and later to purchase a 2022 Subaru Forester from Kirby Subaru. In both instances I was relieved to have someone with his honesty and expertise to advise me about something I know nothing about. In both transactions I felt I got a good deal with vastly less stress than if I were doing it on my own, and he worked seamlessly with the dealership. Many of my friends have used him, and my financial planner strongly recommended him, and now I'm part of his fan club too. read more

I discovered Greg via YouTube a few years ago when prepping for my first used car purchase - a "beater" for city life. Greg's videos spoke to me - I found his content to be insightful, concise, and unique - most importantly, it offers ACTIONABLE advice. After my YourCarAngel binge, I sniped an incredible deal on a well-maintained 2000 Toyota RAV4. Perfect! Soon enough, I was itching for an upgrade and partnering with Greg was top of mind. Although I am based in SF (and Greg in LA), I scheduled a phone consultation to determine how we could join forces. Exiting the call, we identified my desired car (used Lexus GS 350), budget, features, etc. for Greg to procure in LA. This was at the height of the car market craze (Nov '21), so Greg warned that it may take some time to source. Despite the craze, I received a text from Greg that he'd found my car within 24 hours. Wow! I booked a flight next day to LA to visit it at Lexus of Oxnard. Greg met me at the dealership, and managed the process A-Z. I'd done a massive amount of independent research and test drove +dozen cars ahead of time - this GS was by far the cleanest that I'd seen, so we purchased. We were there for a few hours, and it was both assuring and empowering to have Greg by my side. His attention to detail and savvy is unmatched. The highlight of that experience was meeting Greg in person - a kind, genuine soul and wonderful company. I had a great time! Soon after buying the GS, I flipped my RAV4 for 2x what I paid (Greg's vids helped me sell). The whole experience felt very serendipitous. If you appreciate individuals who are consummate professionals, true experts in their craft, and are just "good," I'd recommend Greg. He has that "it" factor, and I found him to be consistently authentic across YouTube, phone, and in-person. The value he provides is immense relative to his fee, which is captured multiple times over via cost savings (negotiation), time saved, ease of mind, inspections, etc. I'm writing this almost two years since working with Greg - talk about share of mind! Simply the best! read more

Highly Recommend Greg! I've sold multiple vehicles with him and would call on him anytime. He makes it easy. He's knows vehicles and the business. He knows the little things that make a difference. He understands what needs to be done and he does it in an efficient manner. He's also reliable and is quick to respond. If you're looking to buy, sell, need some advice on the process, or anything in between, Greg's your guy! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Car Angel, after watching so many of his YouTube vids, I was so impressed with his knowledge and expertise of knowing how to buy cars and more importantly, which ones NOT to buy. He truly is someone that is legit, and actually does want to help you get the best deal on a vehicle so that you won't later regret buying it. I wish I would've discovered him a longtime ago and used his advice in buying vehicles, it would have saved me a lot of headaches and numerous expletives to say the least. Because I followed his advise and negotiating techniques, I was able to find and purchase a sweet deal on an older Toyota Highlander from a TRUE private party seller, not a "curbstoner" as he calls them, and I ran into plenty of them in my search, you know who they are, the ones that hide the license plate number on the photo of vehicle. Anyways, all this to say thanks CarAngel, for helping me and I'm sure countless others. Even if you think you know all there is to know when buying a used car, I guarantee you will not regret learning and getting help from The CarAngel. read more

Your Car Angel - Car Buyers Near Me - Ventura, California

Greg, confirmed a car appointment with me the night before, and he made me drive 2 hours from Los Angeles to Ojai today, while I had everything ready to buy the car. I texted him in the morning to let him know that I'm heading over there, but he didn't respond to any of my texts and call, and after 1 hour he said, he has another appointment before me which I already was in Ojai, and he would let me know if they don't buy the car, and I asked him to give me an update as soon as possible, and I waited for 2 hours then I texted and called, and he didn't respond again. After an hour, he texted me that the another buyer just finished the purchase process, so basically, he left me and my friends hanging in there for more than 4 hours in that city which was 100 miles away from my home, without coConsidering the time we spent driving to just say the other buyer purchased the car, I think this business needs to consider another way to communicate with people and be more responsible unless it is better to communicate with the owner not the agent like him who does not respect other people's time. read more

A google search has never saved me so much time, money, and marital strife. My wife and I were trying to navigate the car buying process on our own, and I said god I wish I could just hire someone to do this. That night after a tense argument about used vs. new, I googled, found greg, saw the testimonials, and quickly saw he'd be worth a shot. I was long distance in Miami, but his hourly consulting option seemed reasonable, so I bought an hour for $100 (it's cheaper per hour if you buy more), set up a phone conversation for the next day, and after 30 minutes of talking with him was very reassured he could help us. In the end, we used greg for every step: looking for the cars in our area (ended up with a 2016 Rav 4 hybrid, exactly what we were looking for), inspecting the car on video chat, having him negotiate the price of the car and our trade in with the dealers, and having him on speaker during the contract signing. I didn't want to try to do anything myself and it's the best money i ever spent. Not only did he save us use about $10k by finding us a good used car instead of a brand new one, he saved us at least $3k by 1) negotiating the "lowest price" down further 2) getting us $1000 more for our trade in than we would've or evern should've gotten 3) listening in on the contract negotiation and helping us avoid extra things we would've signed up for. He probably saved us time and money we didn't even know about because the dealership people knew very quickly that Greg couldn't be bullshitted, so they didn't even try a lot of stuff on us. I am gushing over how awesome Greg was and spending time typing all this because on top of all this, he was so incredibly fair about his time and fees. I'm pretty sure he spent more than 5 collective hours on us between the emails, the phone calls, and the spaces in between where he was hunting for and negotiating our car purchase. He could've easily charged us for 8 hours + and we would've gladly paid it, and I even told him so after seeing the amount of money we saved and the amount he was going to charge us. But he only charged us for 5 hours of his consulting work. The point is, he does not take advantage. He's the rare person who still does honest work for an honest wage and doesn't try to squeeze you. (Actually, maybe I've just become disallusioned with the trend of how business is done in Miami). But Greg is a great, honest, fair guy who happens to do an amazing job. It is worth every penny to hire greg, even from afar. If you want proof, try spending two weeks figuring all this stuff out of your own, then email greg with your situation, what you've found, the price, and see if he can't show you there is something better. And the best part is, he's the type of honest guy who will tell you if you are on the right track and don't need his services. But I bet you'll be surpirsed at what a little investment in Greg can save you in the long run. We love our used car (been driving it for a month), love the 7 year bumper to bumper certified warranty he negotiated for us, and love that we can tell our friends and family how they can save themselves so much time and money by hiring Greg. We will absolutely be hiring him for any future car purchases, new or used. Last thing I'll say: my dad knows a lot about cars, is incredibly frugal, is in sales himself, and has purchased many a used car. After trying to get Dad's help in the whole process, I still had so many questions. When I hired Greg, I thought my dad would be a little offended we didn't use Dad instead. And he may have been, but he didn't even have time to express it because when I started telling my dad about the price, the warranty, the trade in, and the fact I had done nothing myself. and the fee Greg charged (I thin we paid $450 for the 5 hours in the end because of not buying in bulk initially), he said "wow, I think I know a lot, but even I will hire this guy the next time I buy a car." And my dad is telling people too. I can't say enough good stuff about this experience. But I've said a lot so I'll stop now. Thanks so much, Greg! read more

Quite simply, this guy is one of the most knowledgable, kind-hearted people I've ever had the pleasure of encountering. He spent an hour with me on the phone going through every possible option I have, only to eventually arrive at the conclusion that I shouldn't pursue a path that would provide him with any financial windfall. He went above and beyond any expectation. The world would be a better place if there were more people like him. read more

Do not hesitate for one second! If you are looking for a great used car and want to remove all of the stress and struggle, call Greg today. I cannot rave enough about him. "Car Angel" is a very appropriate title for him. We recently used his service to buy a car and it was the fastest, least stressful experience of car buying we have ever had. In fact, it was actually enjoyable! Greg did all the leg work, negotiated an unbelievable deal (even before we saw the car in person), and was with us every step of the way. We got way more car than we every imagined we could afford. We live in LA - and working with Greg was, without question, worth well more than his fee AND the drive to Thousand Oaks in rush hour on a Friday night! This may be the first review on here, and the first 5-star review, but it certainly won't be the last! read more

I recommend Greg highly to anyone who wants to take the stress out of a very stressful situation! The last time I bought a new car, I found myself in a pickle when I realized that car wasn't going to work for me. So, I had to sell that car and buy a new one. Oyi! My husband had always taken care of this sort of thing in the past. However, I had recently been divorced and didn't have a clue. I asked Greg for his help and he made the whole thing smooth and quite effortless! He help me make sure that the next car I was getting into was not only the right car for me, but was in good order, both mechanically and structurally. I felt like I had an angel by my side! He truly is your car angel. read more

Very satisfied with the service. Thank you so much. Since 2008, I had been driving a 1991 Honda Civic that was a hand me down from my sister. For a couple of years I had been considering buying a newer used vehicle.Spent a lot of time watching automotive YouTube videos. YourCarAngel came up on my feed, and I began watching Greg's videos, along with my other favorites. I still wasn't confident about beginning my search, but made a few attempts on my own. At that point I was open to either Honda or Toyota, since I have had good luck with both. Checked out a Honda CR-V from a private seller. He let me drive around the block, but couldn't be bothered with me having a mechanic check it out. Then I tried CarMax and the sales person almost had me talked into a Subaru. Next I tried getting a price from TrueCar through my Credit Union. Was bombarded with phone calls. Finally decided to get in touch with YourCarAngel. Since I live in the San Gabriel Valley, it was going to be quite a drive when my car was ready, but my brother or sister would be willing to take me when the time came. By the time I contacted Greg, I had decided I wanted a Sienna Van. He called one day and said he had found a Sienna and would be going to inspect it, if the color was OK with me. The color was fine and my brother drove me there the next morning. We took the Sienna for a test drive and told my brother he could head home. I would be buying the car. Greg explained to me ahead of time the extras that would be offered by the dealership. He stayed with me through the whole process. Greg even got my phone synched up with the vehicle. Something I may never have done. To me this was the best car buying experience I have ever had. It was worth every penny of the fee. I would recommend Greg in a heartbeat. read more

Greg is THE MAN. PERIOD. If you are looking for a new or used car, Greg WILL SAVE YOU MONEY. He knows exactly what he is doing in the hunt for a used car. He's a shark and knows just what to do, where to look, and how to in.;spect potential vehicles to ensure you get a great car. Greg helped me buy a new car, and with the recurring relationship he has with dealerships all over the state, he was able to secure me an amazing, near dealer invoice price (no hassle and absolutely no negotiating.) His understanding of the loan process meant no negotiating there either; I walked in and it was set: The exact car I was looking for, better than I though price on it, and amazing financing. NO hassle, no negotiating. no stress, no bullshit. Great made it easy and enjoyable... I learned a lot, and I have an awesome truck! His cost was well worth what I received. If you are buying a car without Greg, you are making a huge mistake. Dont. read more

I am so grateful I found Your Car Angel! This is a long overdue review for the truly exceptional experience I had buying a car with Greg's help two years ago, and for the ongoing support I have received for my car! I love the car Greg helped me to buy in 2019 (and I'm really not a car person, so to "love" a car is new for me!) but even more so I loved not buying it alone! Greg was incredibly patient with me on the phone, recommending cars that could suit what I was looking for and helping me to weigh the pros and cons of leasing vs financing, and ultimately found a couple of cars for me to test drive AND negotiated the terms for me. It could not have been more worth while (and that includes traveling up from Los Angeles to choose from cars in Greg's radius). And just last week I had an issue arise with a tire - the dealer of course recommended a whole brand new set - but I called the Car Angel and he helped me (once again) to weigh the pros and cons and I feel so much better about the choice I've made than if I'd jumped the gun at the dealership. Greg is knowledgeable, patient, kind and does his work with integrity. I recommend Your Car Angel to everyone! read more

Several people referred me to Greg, Your Car Angel, when I was deciding whether to invest more in my older Honda CRV vs. call it quits and look for a good used car. I had just been to the Honda dealer, getting a run around with expensive quotes and no answers. I'm thrilled to have met with Greg! First, he knows sooooo much! After asking a few questions on the phone he was way ahead of the black hole that I was heading down with the dealer. Next, he drove my car and right away pointed out some helpful things. He got under the hood, ran a few tests, and in just a few minutes was able to advise me on next steps. Greg has been calm, kind, generous with his time, and truly cares about the people he is working with. If I do need to get a new-to-me used car, I'll be enlisting Greg's help for sure! Having someone so kind, trustworthy, and with so much expertise when it comes to cars is a true gift! He is truly an Angel to me! read more

I had a Lexus 200CTh for 7+ years that I loved, but unfortunately my disabled husband has been having difficulty getting in and out of the car, so I had to get a higher profile car. Greg sold the Lexus for me, did a fantastic job restoring it to its (almost) best self and got a great price within a short period of time. Highly recommend! read more

Greg was extremely helpful in the process of purchasing a vehicle I had found on Craigslist from a private owner. Although I did not hire Greg directly, I benefited greatly from his involvement. He helped every step of the way, from showing the car to transferring the funds to the owner, and eventually walking me through the DMV process to transfer the title. I would absolute hire Greg if I ever needed to sell/buy a car in the future. read more

Greg IS the car angel! I had never heard of such a resource -so meeting him was a god-send. He inspected our car and took the time to think through our car predicament and come up with a variety of solutions.
