I've been here several times, I try and stop in each time I'm in town. I love Affy Tapple Carmel apples! In the Fall, I look for this brand of carmel apples back home in Dallas, and it's hard to find them sometimes. I've tried other snack items too and everything I've bought has been delicious.

There is no place on earth like the Affy Tapple Factory. The product is so incredible and it brings up so many childhood memories for me. Taffy apples at Sox games with my dad. Moving out of state and having my husband come to the factory so he could bring home a case or two. I actually used to go to the old location on Clark street and bought apples with broken sticks for .25. I just went today and grabbed 6. It's just simply the bestest!!!

10/28 update: Bought two three packs of apples. All were mealy. Some had rotten brown spots in the middle. They said good through 11/4. All the sticks slid right out so I had to cut them up on a paper plate to control the mess. The apples were also tasteless. These are now a waste of money. Do better. 10/17 My family and i usually love Affy tapples but this year most apples have been mealy and old, and others have been tasteless. Other treats purchased that didn't contain apples have been good. We won't be buying any more apples this season as they've been too disappointing.

Brings ya back to childhood. As you step through the doors, the smell of sweet caramel, chocolate, and apples hits ya. It's a small store but a good variety to choose from. I immediately noticed the chocolate peanut apples (I'm a sucker for anything chocolate/peanut) caramel apples and dark chocolate caramel pretzel rod. There was also a triple chocolate chip apple that I normally don't see at local grocery stores. The variety of gourmet apples made with Granny Smith apples, looked scrumptious too! I noticed you could also place orders online for pick up. The ladies at the cashier were nice and informed me that hours change with the season. Great gift giving options for the holidays coming up!

Imagine my surprise to find out there's an Affy Tapple factory! They have options here you wouldn't really find in the store. Bulk orders are available as well. Come get your apples!

If you have tasted Affy tapple I don't need to say much more then go to their store! Every type of apple is drool worthy and the space is clean and very reasonably priced! A great treat to get by yourself or family.

Individually wrapped apples - Online order

This is a review for their online order/delivery. I found company through google when I was looking for a dozen caramel apples for the holiday season. I have purchased caramel apples previously through other companies and paid more and was less satisfied with the quality. I enjoyed how I was able to make a purchase and choose when I wanted the apples to be delivered. Apples arrived at time chosen, wrapped well and all in good condition. Each apple was wrapped individually and make a great small gift option during the holiday season. I got a dozen caramel apples covered in white and milk chocolate chips. The apples were super fresh, tart and just perfect for slicing and sharing. I brought several to holiday parties and everyone has loved them. I ordered one of the larger specialty apples covered in honey roasted peanuts which could've easily been shared with 3-4 people, added a nice bit of salty/sweet combo. Overall seamless order/delivery and great quality apples. Order was a little pricy but a nice annual treat. Will order next year for holiday season and look forward to it. Wish I lived near the store as I would be a more frequent customer.

Quiet little store found on a back-path off Grosse Pointe road. It's considered an outlet store so regular variety apples are .80 cents. The deluxe run around $2 - $2.50 or more. Check the photos, there are levels of deluxe apples. I prefer mine chilled. Had a deluxe, covered in milk chocolate and almonds, it was supreme. Other than apples they offer their caramels 12 to a box for $1. Caramel chocolates, pretzels dipped in chocolate, and everything within view is less than $4. I got a bag of goodies for under $9. And I think it could last me a few weeks. They also have boxes of Affy Tapple for sale. Not a good idea if you're on a diet; duh. but fun. Looks like I'll have to restart the diet next week. When I stopped in it was empty and the counter lady told me it had been slow all day. Since she's got nothing else to do, she just constantly waits and watches.

    Rainbow Sprinkles Caramel Apples

Affy Tapple Caramel Apple with Sprinkles: Now that autumn is upon us I can start to enjoy some seasonal treats (along with the fall colors all the good food is the only consolation to the death of summer). I could not have cared less for caramel apples as a kid, but I sure do love them now. Affy Tapple offers a few different varieties, but my current favorite is the sprinkle version. Visually the treat looks gorgeous. It's an apple coated with delicious caramel and a thick veil of sprinkles. The sprinkles come in a gorgeous rainbow of colors and it looks fantastic. Taking a bite out of this thing gives me a major sugar rush and I'm not complaining. The caramel coating is thick, chewy, and sweet, while the sprinkles add a little crunch and a second jolt of sugar. I prefer these apples over other brands because they are reasonably sized and priced. These aren't your steroid infused apples that are 4x the size of standard apples, so eating one won't kill your diet or give you diabetes. One apple is 225 calories (the 28g of sugar is more of the concern). Doughboy approved! Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Located in a small plaza and can be confusing with the Illinois Nut and Candy sign but when you walk in the sweet smell of chocolate fills the air. There are glass closures of bon bons/ truffles that I've learned are hand painted, chocolate covered everything, gelato and more. They also have taffy apples, some with just the caramel, some with nuts, some with chocolate chips. You can never go wrong! Their chocolate is kosher friendly and I'm obsessed with the cookie bark, I could eat that all day. Highly recommend going on one of their chocolate tours too that's available on sundays. Make sure you book first as I found out they do sell out. You get to learn the history of chocolate and make your own taffy apples and chocolate dipped goodies. They also ship nationwide, I am definitely going to order some goodies for birthdays coming up!

The place was sparkling clean. There was chocolate as far as the eye could see. And, the chocolate fountain was amazing! I could swim in that stuff. Pure heaven! The bonbons were to die for! I got the blood orange one and it was decadent and delightful! It was zesty and sweet with a pop of bittersweetness from the rich dark chocolate. It was a dream. I couldn't recommend this place more! We started out the night with learning all about chocolate and how to make it. Then, we learned all about the history behind NC chocolate. Which, I found absolutely fascinating! After, we dipped cookies in chocolate and pretzels. Then, we got to decorate them! Which, I loved! It felt as if I was a kid in a candy store. Then, we got to make our own caramel apples covered in peanuts, cookies, or cereal. Which, was a blast! After, we were given lots of samples and treats to take home. Along, with a swag bag! Thank you, Kesha, and NC company for making this wonderful experience possible!

My son and I walked into this establishment exploring all the different options. We walked around for about 10-15 minutes and noticed that there was no one in the store - NO ONE AT ALL. Someone eventually comes out of the backroom on her phone, walks right past us, does not greet us, and walks out of the store. I was slightly confused thinking she'd be right back.
