If you have a JPEG logo for example there will be a fee (which was under $50 with tax) to have Hometown convert the logo into the file type required for embroidery. When I went into the store to look at the logo once it had been digitized I was able to have changes made to it - delete words and realign other words. The staff were super helpful telling me what is common in terms of logo width and font size. If you have a logo already made they can pretty much execute any drag and resize action you could want. If you don't have a file already, while they don't design logos, they can set you up with stylized words. The staff were super patient as I picked out the colors to be used bringing me spools of thread to compare against each other and against the shirts I brought in and the digital image of my logo. I find their prices super reasonable and everyone was very friendly. It was just $12 per shirt that I wanted to have embroidered. I didn't buy the clothing there, but they had a retail floor of clothing and hats and a half ream sized catalog that you could purchase anything you could imagine from. My shirts were ready for pickup a week later and I was really happy with the quality and colors. I will certainly drop off more shirts soon and I'm thinking some hats too and maybe some of those cloth grocery bags.

Within a few minutes of placing the order, I received a confirmation email and my credit card was charged. The email said a tracking number would be sent as soon as the package shipped. As of today, Tuesday, I still hadn't received that shipping email, so I decided to call and check on the order. Stephanie answered the phone, and said they were waiting on a tracking number from the factory they were ordering the shoes from. What? I ordered the shoes from you... Once they were sent to movement connection, they could then be sent to me. So wait, I have to wait for them to be shipped to you, then wait for you to ship them to me? I pointed out their same day shipping for orders placed by 1:00 p.m. She said that was only for items in stock. I told her that their website at the time of ordering, nor the confirmation email said the shoes were out of stock. She had no answer other than they didn't have the shoes and had to wait until they were sent to them. I asked to speak to a supervisor, Barbara, who might be able to better help me. I was told Barbara didn't come in until later and she would call me. She called me, and I missed her call, but called back within minutes. Stephanie answered the phone again, and said Barbara would call back.. She never did. I called back again multiple times before they closed, and Stephanie finally answered, again. Is she the only person besides Barbara who works there? Surprise! Barbara had gone home for the day. When I asked what the deal was, I was told the shoes were back ordered, even though their site didn't say that AND THEY ALREADY CHARGED MY CARD! Stephanie had no clue when they would be sent the shoes that would then be shipped to me, but I could call back tomorrow and ask Barbara. When I asked her why they charged my card when they didn't have the shoes, no clue when they would get them, and no idea when they would ship to me (which has never happened to me, ever), she had no answer. When I pointed out that most online sites do not charge for back order items until they ship, she said nothing. When I said most sites tell you when an item is back ordered, out of stock, etc, she said nothing except that's not the way their site is set up. This company was not helpful at all. Stephanie seemed to know nothing, and the only person who could help, was not available. Costumer service is non existent here, just like the shoes I tried to order. Go to Discount Dance Supply. They have a better selection, better prices, their site tells you when items aren't available, and customer service rocks.
