Had services done twice (Webb City area) Once I was a dummy and ran out of gas, guy who came to help me was fast, kind, gave me more gas than the minimum they had to give, and even jumped my battery for me so I could start my car. Second time, same guy, took about an hour and a half but I told them it wasn't urgent as I had another vehicle and it was right outside my apartment. Once again fast, kind, and efficient. Guy who helped me out both times has gauges in his ears, facial hair, and looks like my pa (so I might be a bit biased, ha) funny guy too. "best laid plans of mice and men." touché. read more

My daughter was in an accident and the police called Affordable towing for us. I requested the driver drop my car off at the repair shop. He then proceeded to tell me that they don't do that they take it to their lot and my insurance adjuster would come to look at it there. After talking to my adjuster he told me this company does this to people all the time and that what they said was a lie. My car was on their lot for 15 hours and we had to pay over $700 to get the car released to be towed to the location I asked it to be dropped off in the first place. Crooks!!! read more

I'm currently working in this area and don't know the roads very well, nor am I accustomed to snow or ice. I drove down a county road yesterday around mid-afternoon and my car got stuck on a road with ice, mud, and potholes. Nathan came out and helped me out of it before dark. They're definitely on their game and if something like this happens again, they will be the first people I call. read more

I have used Affordable Towing twice in the past. Both times the person I talked with was very polite and professional. I was refered to them by my past mechanic Jose, who has since left to start a shop in Arkansas. Both time they picked up the different cars were of course like all other time you need a Tow, late after noon and on a weekend. they did not over charge me and to save me an extra trip just added the bill on to the bill at Joses' Garage. At the time it was J&J Auto. There were no hassels and no problems. I have them programed into my phone if I ever need Tow service again in the Joplin area and I recomend them. read more

I needed my car towed bc of a dead battery. First, they dropped my car off at the wrong location on a Sunday (when the repair offic is closed). Second, they left the hood of my car open. Third, they removed the front license plate left it on the ground (not puttin it back on my car). Lastly, they ripped the undercarriage from under my car. Finally--THEY REFUSE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY OF THESE THINGS. I have reported to the BBB, and I have reported to my insurance. read more

Our car broke down in a hot 92° parking lot and we were told it would be about 45 minutes and we waited 2 hours and 30 minutes and nobody ever showed up or called back. read more

Worst tow service I've ever dealt with they were supposed to meet my wife at my car at 4:15 PM. So my wife went to my car at 4:05 to meet them and waited until 5:30 PM no driver ever showed up or called with an explanation as to why this happened. So my wife text me asking what happened, why did she and my 10 year old granddaughter have to sit in the hot car for an hour and half. So I called the guy and he simply said his dispatch sent him on other calls. Ok so what happened and why did they send him on other calls while my wife and granddaughter had to suffer out in the heat. So now my wife is going to have to drive to Joplin again tomorrow 40 mile round trip all because of this worthless company! I've got to wonder what kind of person runs their business this way? on 1-16 we used this towing service. They damaged my daughter's car, admit, and refuse to do anything about it.

Nathan never called me back and John never sent anyone to pick us up. We are from out of town and needed a tow. They led us to assume they would be here to assist us and we waited 4 hours. Very unprofessional. They didn't have the decency to just let us know they did not want the job. Instead they left us stranded in the cold. Used on the weekend to tow my sons totaled car. My husband called on Monday to let them know our son would be coming to collect his belongings from the car. They wanted to know the make & model & stated he would need the title. Our son shows up & they tell him there is a $35 gate fee to see his vehicle, he gives them his debit card, they state there us a $2 surcharge so its best to go get cash, our son declines & tells them to run the card. They hand him his card back & ask for the title, then tell him its not in his name so they can't let him in, he tells them that his Dad called & spoke to the office & was told it wouldn't be a problem. The guy radios the office & ask about the wrong car- make & model even though he is holding the title, of course they act clueless. They wouldn't let him get his belongings. My husband takes him back the next day & there is no mention of a gate fee or an apology for their behavior the day before. I'm sure if our son had $35 cash they would have let him collect his belongings, seems as if they didn't want a paper trail while trying to scam a young man. Shady at the very least. read more
