Home Depot will quote an install on average quality equipment, then once the technician is onsite, add several hundreds more in parts and labor. Home Depot's $760 quote magically ballooned to $1360, about 80% increase. With Water Heater Man, expect to pay what is quoted for high quality service and equipment. I recently had my water service line replaced from the meter to my house. During the project, David discovered that the boring contractor hadn't installed the new line deep enough to meet code. It would have been easy to work around it, trench through my landscaping, or simply let it go--but instead, he advocated for me. He stood his ground, insisted the boring company come back and do the job correctly, and ultimately saved me from ending up with a substandard installation. That decision cost him an entire day's work while everyone waited for the boring company to return, but he still put doing the job right ahead of simply getting paid and moving on. To top it off, when the project was finished, his final invoice came in below the high end of the estimate he had originally given me. In a world where it's common to brace yourself for surprise costs, that was a refreshing experience. This company came out on Friday, they ordered the part and brought it out Saturday morning and installed it. Wow, a 2 day turn around. Airco left her high and dry for 5 days and would still be waiting if we had not called another company. Airco sent a "project manager" (Steiger Hart) to the residence to "inspect" the area where the water heater was going to be placed. The project manager informed the resident that the area was not up to code (LIES) and recommended purchasing several things to bring it up to code (emergency shutoff valve, hammer arrestors, expansion tank, safety drain pan, new combustion- pvc piping, and a gas drip leg). When I asked for an itemized price list, I was told their system packages everything together and he couldn't provide an itemized bill. The only service that receives an itemized bill is HVAC. RED FLAG!! The home was built in 2016 and according to the plumber we actually hired, EVERYTHING IS WITHIN CODE. Airco wanted to charge $1744 for install and code upgrades. Then proceeded to try to convince the resident to purchase a hot water heater from Airco because theirs are manufactured better . We paid a local plumber (small family owned business) $250 to install the hot water heater and replace the hoses. This company lacks integrity, clearly overcharges, and tries to upsell the customer. I requested a brushed stainless two-handle faucet (the exact replacement I'd picked). They arrived with a chrome single-handle model instead. They also missed two appointment times. The install itself took about 40 minutes, with no plumbing problems or leaks discovered (straight replacement). Overall cost was $670 including a ~$70 faucet, which I felt excessive given the simple job and the mistakes. I'd used Suntech before during Memorial Day weekend for a clogged toilet when my regular plumber wasn't available. The plumber cleared it in ~30 minutes for $179. Because of that prior experience, I trusted them with this faucet replacement, but the wrong faucet, missed appointments and excessive pricing made the experience disappointing. I called the manager to address the wrong faucet and late/ missed appointments; I didn't feel the concerns were meaningfully resolved and the explanation was mostly general overhead. I wouldn't use them again.

When my system started to run hot this month in 2026, I had them come out and I was told that the coils were indeed leaking, but they only had a FIVE year manufacturer warranty. The tech admitted that when they perform the install, it is a 10-year warranty. However, they magically had no record of installing the coils in 2019, and did not even have my information in their system. I had a couple thousand dollars of work done and they had no information on me? Odd. The tech said that if I can prove they did the work, like with a bank statement, they will honor the 10-year warranty. So I provided them with my bank statement from 2019, showing they did the work, and what I paid for it. I contacted their office and spoke with multiple people who said they would look into it but they never got back to me. I finally called again, and they stated they could not honor the 10-year warranty even though I provided the proof of original service that they asked for. They then quoted me an enormous price of $3,150 to do the job, but then back-pedaled and said they could do it for just $1,900 to "help me out". What they did not tell me, but I found myself reading the detailed print on the quote sheet, is that the $1,900 price only came with only a ONE year warranty. Not ten. Not five. ONE. I made every effort to work with them and gave them every chance to make it right, but eventually I just had another company come out and give me a second quote. The other company only wanted $2,000 to do the job with a FIVE year warranty. No hassle, no over-quoting, no misleading information. I also had the other company check the manufacturer warranty status of the coils that Edmond Air installed in 2019, and they confirmed Edmond Air NEVER EVEN REGISTERED the coils with the manufacturer in the first place for a warranty. So... Edmond Air lied about the ten year warranty, had no record of the original work they did, said they would honor warranty with proof but then did not, overquoted me in an attempt to make it seem like they were helping me with a lower price later, communicated poorly throughout the whole process, and never even registered the coils with the manufacturer for warranty in the first place. All of this hassle and poor service, and on top of all of it they were much more expensive than the other local company that I reached out to anyway. I would not do business with this company.
