Affordable pavers did a great job with my backyard project. Jose was very informative and provided suggestions on how to improve the initial design to include pavers and gravel, which we were open to. He was also very flexible in utilizing pre-existing pavers for a front yard walkway. I would highly recommend Jose and his awesome team in doing your next landscape project.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Affordable Pavers! Jose and his crew are the most hard working, most reliable and by far the most affordable. They transformed our backyard that was little more than a pile of dirt to an outdoor space that we love and are proud of. Jose was in constant contact with us about our options and his ideas of what could be better. We changed our minds quite a few times and it was never a problem for him. They made the process so easy and are just the best!

Apparently it's normal to not back fill with gravel to account for the water runoff.

Terrible business practice.... I contracted this company off the recommendation from a friend.. Jose had originally scheduled to start my project Friday April 9th... The project was sod installation with an irrigation system. I contacted them on Thursday April 8th asking about what time I could expect them... He denied all agreements to start on Friday and said his team would be over to start the following Tuesday... FIRST RED FLAG: Jose's communication and attention to detail is not the best. He denied scheduling my project for that day and that I was lucky to be having the work completed since they were booked until August. Even after providing email's that showed his start date he continued to deny that he agreed to starting on that day. When we completed a walk through on the project I explained to Jose that we needed a French Drain installed since that is what the builder was asking for when we purchased the home... When his team was working on the project I asked him about it he the drain, his first question was is it in the contract, then began to swear up and down that it was not needed... whether it was needed... I guess time will tell. Upon completion of the project one of the sprinklers was not working and he sent an employee to fix it rather promptly.... They placed the valve box close to my house/patio so after a week of running the sprinklers there is a good amount of water collection that happens in that area.... I contact Jose stating that the system may be leaking and I need him to come take a look at it...... He asks for photos I provide the photos of the water that is pooling. He states that they installation was done correctly and nothing wrong at all, however he could not explain the water collection.. He finally agrees to coming out to the house on a Tuesday after his (9-5 Job of course)... Tuesday rolls around and he starts asking me to turn the water off and run valves of some sort in order to detect a leak.... NOPE.. I explained that I was not going to do that because I am no expert in detecting leaks and per his "warranty" he had promised to service the work he had completed. He then starts to ask me if I was going to pay him $200 for the money he was losing on the other Job he had lined up for the day.... It was explained to him that there was no $200 service fee for him to come look at possible damage/warranty work... That evening his employee comes out and tells me that there is a back flow valve that was installed in that area that is causing that water to pool up... Comes to tell me that Jose does not know what or how everything was installed. I had them install that box in that spot per their recommendation.... Now that area fills up with at least a few gallons of water every time the sprinklers run. Jose never called to follow up and make sure I was aware of what the employee said or bothered to check in on the services. April 30th- I realize the same sprinkler they serviced is not working properly so I call him right away and send him a text message since I want all my dealings with him in writing due to things changing in his favor.... No response... I call again and send another text message on Monday the 3rd.... Still no response or acknowledgment.... Wednesday May 5th, I call again leaving a message that states I would be filing something with small claims court if he did not reach out and fix the sprinkler or find a solution to the problem... Jose calls back at around 4pm stating that he sent his employee out to fix the problem that morning and if I had not checked the sprinklers since then... I immediately ask him why he did not contact me prior to sending his employee out to service the work he tells me that I was ANNOYING which is why I did not get a phone call back.. When asking what granted him access to my property without my knowledge, his answer we because he was my contractor and that he did not have to ask for permission to be on my property. Avoid the headaches and the run around by this clown, he is not professional in any means. I have since filed a police report for his employee coming on to my property without consent.

The finished driveway! The pavers are Belgard Cambridge Cobble in the color Victorian.

Rafael was very quick inspecting the job and the quote was beyond reasonable for the amount of work so I immediately just said yes! Scheduling was easy and there were no delays. Due to some family issues, I didn't pick out my own pavers. I just described a color scheme I was interested in and Rafael did the rest. Jose and his team arrived on Monday morning and they worked like a well oiled machine. Each man had a job to do and they did it. No wasted time chatting or planning. They came in and got right to work every day. They were friendly, efficient and serious about the work. The entire job was completed in 4 days and I couldn't be happier. The pavers match the house and fence so well! I couldn't have picked anything more perfect. I just can't say enough about how positive this experience was - from a much appreciated phone call from Yeimy, to the final handshake when they left. I highly and happily recommend this company for any paving jobs you might have!

We decided to switch from a yard full of grass to a mostly-xeriscaped yard. The project included removing the existing grass, shrubs, sprinklers, concrete walkway and water lines and replacing them with pavers, rock, creek bed pebbles, shrubs, boulders, decorative lighting, drip system, electrical lines attached to timers, a mailbox pillar, and an additional step added to the entryway. After researching many companies and interviewing four, we ended up choosing Nevada Pavers & Stone. Rafael, the owner, spent a lot of time with us to determine exactly what we wanted and he was also very patient as we requested changes both before the project started and during the renovation, clearly stating if a change was included or if it would be an additional cost so there would be no surprises. Once he and his crew started the job, they did not want to stop until they finished. I mention this because often contractors will start a project, only to leave in the middle of it to work on someone else's project then return at a later date. We appreciated that this was not the case with Nevada Pavers & Stone. The crew was ready to work by 8 a.m. every morning, sometimes earlier. They worked hard all day, every day (at times they were actually jogging when transferring materials from the truck to the yard) and were respectful of our property and our neighbors' property, cleaning up as they went and at the end of each workday. They were also professionals - they knew what was expected and how to do it, and we never heard loud voices, questionable language, or loud music (in fact I did not hear any music at all, which I would not have minded). The project included many drip lines and electrical wire being run for shrubs and lighting, all of which are nicely hidden as they were buried under the new ground cover. Rafael also built a pillar for our mailbox, to which he added a decorative light on top and lighted address numbers on the front. We are very happy with our front yard. If you need a landscape design company, Nevada Pavers & Stone, LLC should be on your very short list of companies to contact.

My first interaction with the paver Company had a rocky start. I won't go into the details however…read morethe person that they sent out first, no longer works at the company. Rob, one of the three executives from the paver Company reached out to me and personally took care of me. Rob Turned this into an excellent experience. Moving forward: I was contacted by a representatives to set up an appointment. His name was Ken Jackson. He arrived promptly at the appointment time and asked me quite a few questions about what I was looking to have done. I told him I wanted to divide the project into three parts. Pavers for my front patio somewhere around 1000 ft.² for the first part. Then replace the cement pad going into the garage and extend the parking area with pavers. Finally if within budget, decompose granite Drive way for my drive-through area. If the price was out of my range, I would prioritize each section. I also let him know that I have five kids and probably since it's in the front of the house, the pavers might be driven on, so best to have the whole project done to take the weight of a vehicle. Finally added on some bullnose steps and lighting for the porch. Ken set about doing all of the measurements. He brought out quite a few sample stones to fit what we needed. We went with a cobblestone mix with sandstone. And a dark gray trim. Ken returned after three days with a quote that was a little bit out of my price range. This is to be expected. When getting bids, we do not know what the market bears. We don't know the profit margin, we basically want pavers and are kinda at the mercy of the sales people. The best thing I can recommend here is get your budget and if you can get everything you want within your budget, don't worry about if you can save a few dollars here or there. I have gone through the Bid process with so many different companies. Window replacement, gutters, new furnace, new water heater, new roof, new water softener, new deck, new kitchen cabinets, new sink, full exterior house paint, and garage door replacement. If you are doing renovation, get plenty of bids. If a salesman is pushy or tells you you have a limited time to get the special... don't be pressured. Just walk away. Inform their superiors if you feel they are out of line. Do research and compare apples to apples. All of this being said, if you want some pavers, I would recommend you giving these guys a shot because they really did a good job presenting high-quality paver experience. Though they are definitely not the least expensive. I would trust them to do the work if I can find a way to pay for it lol

Some wanted us to give them a plan; others wanted a fee ($500-$1500) to come up with a plan; and still others wouldn't let us see their plan until we had agreed to hire them. Ken Jackson from The Paver Company met with us several times to get our thoughts to come up with a plan at no charge and no commitment. Once we agreed to proceed, Juan Gomez, the onsite project manager for The Paver Company and his crew worked hard and quickly and did a great job. They also left the job site clean. Not sure that I have ever seen a more efficient, hard-working crew.

Like most people do with major projects, I had a few companies come out to discuss and provide quotes. I was generally underwhelmed and started to think about delaying the project until we met Alfredo. Not only did he listen to my ideas and talk about how to accomplish them, but he came up with additional ideas that were even better suited to our ultimate goal of a family-friendly yard. And then he patiently explained material options so we could make a project that fit within our budget. When it was time to start construction, Tito led an amazing team. They were incredibly professional, and so accommodating to my requests for project tweaks and attention to small details. I really feel like we were given the all-star team. They took their time, and did beautiful work. My small family now has an incredible backyard to grow and play in. I'm so glad we didn't rush this project, and I can't thank Alfredo and his team enough.
