They sent Rick and his crew the next day to fix the issue (unmoved property) and they did a fantastic job. I was so impressed with the service that I got with the second crew, I called Hogan again this year for another move... Provided I got Rick. I got Rick and Mike from last year and they were kind, professional and gentle with my belongings. They had a third person that was also polite and professional. They worked hard all day. I would recommend as long as you get THE CREW.

BUT NOW Hogan's apparently is run by scumbags and they're a huge nightmare. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! The last week of August is basically moving companies' Black Friday/Xmas time for profit and business. We had a small move of a one bedroom apartment, booked it last week for this upcoming Tuesday. We double checked the quote on the phone for 90$ an hour for 3 men from RI to New Bedford MA. The next day they call us to let us know that the quote was totally wrong, even though the secretary double checked with a manager when we CALLED. They 'requoted' us for 110$/hr and only TWO men. Whatever, we told them it was unfair business practices but made sure that they kept our appointment. They wanted us to call should anything change and if we wanted more men (125$/hr). We thanked them and hung up. The following morning we get a voicemail letting us know our appointment was canceled because we didn't call them first thing that morning!!!! OUR MOVE WAS CANCELED ON THE BUSIEST MOVE WEEK OF THE YEAR WITH ONLY ONE BUSINESS DAY TO FIND NEW MOVERS! So, Scumbag Hogans didn't stop there! My boyfriend called them immediately when he was available, at 3pm, to ask if they could possibly rearrange our move time/date and WHY was our appointment canceled when both he and the secretary agreed it would NOT BE. The horrible woman on the phone got snippy with him, he never swore or rose his voice, and she said "Buh-bye now!" and hung up on him! So yeah, trust me... don't book with them. We found better movers last minute, by calling over 15 moving companies and asking for their recommendations of movers when we found they were all booked solid. We're filing with the Better Business Bureau, as this bait and switch and cancellations for better jobs is a big no no in business!

He has a great knowledge of the pianos and let me sit and play all of the different pianos for as long as I wanted before I made my choice. We couldn't fit the piano in our Car so Larry offered to drive it to our house (we live extremely close).

I came in today to do some Christmas shopping, wanting to support Small Business Saturday…read more I came in and was directed to the expert for what I was looking for. It turned out to be the "new" owner, Larry. (New because he became the owner 10 years ago, and Luca Music has been around since I used to shop at Almacs... ) The building is the exactly the same as it was in the 80s and it's well kept, so for me it's like stepping back in time when I took music lessons here. Pretty fantastic to have something so well preserved for the next generation. I told Larry what I was looking for. He did a great job showing me my options and while he showed the the nicest version of what I was looking for, he in no way pressured me to spend extra. He got me just what I wanted and even made me a nice bundle offer that I am confident got me the best deal around. He even threw in extra after the sale. We did business and then he helped carry my purchase to the car. So while we tend to forget the Small Business so often in lieu of box stores and online shipping, there's something about the time and care and appreciation I felt today at Luca Music. I would not hesitate to return or recommend.
