TL;DR: they were great for the initial clean-up and drying stage, but I would not use them again for anything else. The guys who came out to do clean-up were great, courteous, and fast. They showed up when they said they would, explained what they needed to do, got their dryers out and tore up the floor that needed to be torn out, made sure the moisture was gone, and did a good job with all of that. The rest was not so great. There was miscommunication between project leads and managers and subcontractors and office people and my insurance, who outright told me they had never been left out of the loop like this before. The first guy I spoke to eventually became rude to me, especially when I misunderstood something about invoices. Unfortunately I don't remember his name. Two other guys I spoke with, one was Matt, were always friendly in communications, but it was the same thing after we got done talking: a lot of waiting and following up with SERVPRO and a lot of repeating the same thing I already explained I needed done. It was tiring and frustrating. When they finally sent a subcontractor to put in drywall and paint, the guy's work was decent but he was unprofessional, more than once he stepped out saying he'd be right back but was gone for hours. He was also not a plumber, when I had told SERVPRO repeatedly that plumbing work was also needed and they had told me they could do it. I finally had enough by that point and hired someone else to do the last part of repairs. SERVPRO went silent for another month until they sent me my final bill...and of course they were lightning fast to follow up on that. I have learned my lesson. I might use them again for clean-up, but next time I'm seeking other companies for the repair part of the process.

When our house suffered fire damage, we were in one of the most vulnerable and stressful moments of…read moreour lives. Clint presented himself as a faith-driven businessman who genuinely wanted to help families in crisis. That presentation could not have been further from the truth. From the start, we were pressured into signing a vague work authorization contract with little time to review it. What followed was months of frustration, unprofessionalism, and what I can only describe as predatory billing. When it came time for invoices, it took nearly two months of repeated calls and escalated emails to receive anything itemized. When we -- and our insurance adjuster -- asked basic, reasonable questions about the charges (fuel costs for a job less than 10 miles from their office, over 70 hours of labor and project management fees for a muck-out of a home under 2,000 sq ft), Clint became personally defensive and aggressive. Rather than answer the questions, he treated legitimate billing inquiries as personal attacks. The result: we were left paying approximately $10,000 out of pocket to cover the gap between what our insurance reimbursed and what Mr. Restore invoiced. For a family already dealing with a devastating loss, that is an unconscionable outcome. This company targets people at their lowest point, hides behind faith-based messaging, and then makes it as difficult as possible to hold them accountable when the numbers don't add up. I would strongly urge anyone considering Mr. Restore to hire a different restoration company -- and to carefully read every word of any contract before signing anything. To anyone reading this: take a few minutes and look at how this company responds to any review that isn't five stars. The pattern speaks for itself -- zero accountability, zero ownership, and a reflexive need to blame the customer for every negative experience. It is completely unsurprising, and entirely consistent with what we lived through. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. There are better restoration companies out there who will treat you with honesty and respect, especially when you need it most.

Although I planned on meeting him around 12:30, quickly headed out door as he was okay with eta of less than 20mins. Derek did a thorough job in explaining everything. What I really like about Green Scene is their videos along with the detailed photo report. They also use thermal imaging. Long ago, I had an inspector briefly point out things and provided written report afterwards. I was definitely okay shelling out more money for a piece of mind. Derek did nitpick a bit but, with this kind of investment, nitpicking is very welcomed! He even gave me his business card, inspection/notes paper and pen in case I thought of anything once home and brain had time to digest everything. :-) Highly recommend Green Scene!

Our experience with Green Scene Home Inspections was extremely concerning. The company's owner came…read moreto our home after a major appliance listed in their report was called into question. During that visit, he made unprompted remarks about my personal life that had nothing to do with the inspection. When I told him that his behavior felt intimidating, he responded that he had researched me on the "deep dark web." We then asked that our interactions remain strictly professional and limited to inspection-related matters, but he declined to agree to that boundary. The encounter left us feeling unsafe and deeply uncomfortable. We have since filed a formal complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) regarding this incident. It is our personal recommendation to stay very far from this company. Homeowners deserve respect, professionalism, and basic privacy when inviting someone into their home.
